KITCHEN LOVE round 1 is on!!

Many of you have asked where my extensive blogroll has gone...I was hoping you could tell me! Seriously, I am making some changes to my blog (soon to be revealed)  and hoping that loss is temporary......otherwise will be re adding them, one by one, seems to be a common theme this week:)

Hello and happy Sunday, I am so happy to present my KITCHEN LOVE contest!! Not without some major hiccups however, somehow blogger (after collecting pictures for the last almost 3 weeks) lost my entire post!!!!! I was freaking out, as it meant having to start all over again, talk about time consuming, to go back to each and every email.....arrrgggghhhh!!! It was worth it though and having everyone put Kitchen Love in the subject line was a huge help. So I am back in business! I have divided this into two rounds with nearly 140 pictures it was too  much for one. One winner will be crowned from each round then we we will have one final showdown between the two.

Many here are magazine worthy, a testament to the taste level of my readers, I had an absolute blast getting to peek into all of your homes....so thank you for allowing us in! Just gorgeous  and certainly proof that the kitchen really is the heart of the home. I can imagine the meals, get togethers, conversations and memories that have all been made in these wonderful kitchens! If by chance you are in the market for a new kitchen or a kitchen remodel, this is the absolute best idea source I can imagine:)

Remember- everyone was allowed to submit two pictures, some submitted almost the identical picture which is fine so dont' think you are seeing double. Some of my readers have also had published kitchens so if one or two look familiar you might know why:) A few had their homes professionally photographed, that is fine too as long as it's their kitchen. Do not panic if you do do not see your kitchen here, the other post has the rest (they were added in the order they were submitted).  Just want to set the record straight.....enjoy all the beauty!

Now its the hard part!  Time to vote for your three top faves, get out those pens and paper and put on those thinking caps....

Wow, so many to love...I love how there is truly a little bit of everything, from tiny and oozing with charm to very grand and overflowing with elegance, I think this post exemplifies that the kitchen is where "it all goes down"!

So, now it's your turn to vote for your top 3! This poll will close on Monday night (2 full days of voting). Round 2 will start on Tues and run until Wed. night. at which time the two top kitchens (one from each round) will go into a faceoff on Thursday, a winner will be crowned on Friday morning, Valentines Day!

Many thanks for all who sent in their wonderful pictures and to all the readers who are stopping by to participate in the voting....loves these contests!! Wishing everyone a wonderful and relaxing Sunday, you guessed it,  more snow is on the way (but a lot less than what was originally predicted) so I am not going to complain...until tomorrow!

  1. Oh my goodness Tina, this is an 'ultimate kitchens' day!! there are so many beautiful kitchens its hard to choose, but so much fun

Everyone needs a prize for their lovely photos, and you are inspiring me very much for the kitchen I am designing for a customer over here....:)) Thank you so much for all you do to make the contests so special...
Its a lovely Sunday treat, I hope you have a really happy day and some sunshine to go with the snow

  2. I like your white kitchen cabinets with white door will make the kitchen looked so amazing. Wood material usually will be used for the custom kitchen. If you want to make the modern kitchen, the glossy door will be suitable.Happy Cooking Time in a Pink Kitchen

  3. WOW, all I can say is that it's a good thing I didn't submit any photos of my humble kitchen! How embarrassing that would have been!

I voted and all I can say is that there are some outrageously gorgeous kitchens out there in Blogland, Tina! LOVE THEM ALL!!!!!!!! The one with the dog was soooo precious, and the chocolate treat!

I am so sorry that you lost your first draft. That is nerve-wracking, but you pulled it off so elegantly, as always! Love! Anita

  4. I voted for the kitchens that said "love," not the ones I necessarily loved the best. Coffee always says "love" to me...and so does chocolate. :D
To me, an empty table might be beautiful, but it does not say "love"!

  5. Wow Tina you got in some real beauties! We are planning a big kitchen extensions and renovation starting this summer so I am getting some great ideas here, it has me rethinking a few things I though I was sure about, not I am getting some new found inspiration, so thank you for that..I voted for my top three, but it wasn't easy.

  6. I am amazed at all the beautiful kitchens readers submitted. They should all be proud of their homes. I picked 8 that I could see myself in and it was very hard to narrow it to the three to vote for.

  7. Hi Tina , just wondering if you omitted your blog roll from your posts? I enjoy your blog

  8. Very sorry you lost the draft, it is heart wrenching when it happens. Fantastic pictures and post regardless, so well done! Your readers have beautiful homes and kitchens, love all the ideas and inspiration.

  9. Good Sunday morning to you Tina!
Augggh - how hard that must have been to have to redo this entire kitchen love post! Do you back up your blog regularly? Somebody told me that it avoids blogger snafus - (but I'm not sure if it keeps the text AND the photos with the text as well.)

Kitchens are such a pleasure. They really are the heart of the home in a sense. It's where we gather, nurture, spend time without guilt - and enjoy the fruits of our labors!

  10. I voted! I picked my choice, then scrolled though again just to take them all in again. Same one still stood out as my "kitchen love"
Sorry you are dealing with Blogger issues. It's frustrating to say the least. My blog posts wouldn't update for months, then suddenly they did again. It's a mystery. Hope you get the blogroll back.

  11. Hi Tina, wow what a contest and what a fun idea. I can't believe you got so many! Many beautiful kitchens here, narrowed it down but it wasn't easy. I really wanted to submit mine but our countertops are not in yet, (next week) so hopefully next time. Hope your sun is shining and you don't get too much snow.

  12. Tina, so sorry about your draft! But more importantly your blog roll....I always find so many new blogs there as well as meet so many nice people who find me from it. I hope you are able to recover it.
