Beautiful candlelit dining room, understated elegance
Part of one of the hallways...love the deep dark floors
A sun filled beautiful seating area/sun porch gets the neutral treatment and it looks fabulous
The neutral feel continues to the bedroom
Dramatic tall ceilings make for a gorgeous sun lit space
The indoor pool pavilion
Beautiful indoor pool
An angle from the master bedroom
Then we move onto the gorgeous Santa Ynez valley in California where David L. Leavengood created this stunning main ranch house on a cutting ranch on almost 5,000 acres. The interiors were done by Amy Weaver. This is every cowboys dream and even those "non cowboys" out there........
The home is perched atop one of the many rolling hills
One of the lucky inhabitants of this fabulous spread
Love the pared down opulence and the old world beams in the dining room
Beautiful rich velvets in bold colors complete the stunning and bright living room...really love the colors here....so rich and elegant
Cheery and elegant kitchen....yes I would be able to organize a hoe down from this kitchen!
One of the many courtyards complete with a fountain
The attractive master bedroom in a rich combination of earthy tones..love the leopard bench though it looks so tiny!
The beautiful pool and hot tub with a perfect vista...almost looks like a painting.
The beautiful loggia of the 12 stall barn near the main house...

Hope you enjoyed these open houses and hope you have an enchanting day....stay healthy!
Both homes are done quite well. The Westchester home is my style...simple, sophisticated elegance. And, from the outside image I'd like to live in the barn of the second home!
ReplyDeleteThey are both gorgeous. The second one really appeals to me in its laid back but elegant style. The land is dreamy, and in looking out at the mounds of snow would be really welcome right now to stare out at that incredible view. Well done, always enjoy these sunday posts. Glad you are feeling better....lots of vitamin c!
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful homes but I too would have to go with the first home, a little simpler and laid back plus you have got to love that pool! Glad to hear you're on the mend!Have a lovely day doing nothing!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tour. I love going to open houses on Sundays :) Feel better!!!
ReplyDeleteDear Tina,
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing! Glad you are feeling better!

Finally had the time to go back and read all of your posts since you began you fun new blog. While I very much enjoy your posts about the progress of your current build I think my favorite post so far is the one showcasing William Eubanks' interiors. Thank you for hosting this nice giveaway. I am now a follower of your blog and I posted on Safavieh's FB page after going over their site! Mercy! They have some really nice things to offer.
ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're feeling better and Sunday drives are the best even just a short one. I agree that when our abilities are limited it feels uncomfortable even if it's temporary. But you made it through good for you!
I never tire of visiting homes. I love both shown here and that's the great thing about having homes in two different locations to split living time and enjoy what you've created a balance. Beautifully breath taking.

Both homes are beautiful but my favorite is the first. Being from Texas, we have a lot of that heavier Mediterranean style that everyone seems to want. Thanks for the look!
ReplyDeleteso glad you're starting to feel a bit better :)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous homes but my fave is definitely the first one - it's much more serene to me and who wouldn't want to take a dip in that pool?
I hope your feeling better. Both homes are beautiful. I love all of the beams in the dining room in the second. And that barn!!!
ReplyDeleteOh the first house just calls to me with the beautiful oriental touches!!!! I have loved oriental since I was first married, 43 years ago! I do love the second house too but the first touches my heart! Hope you are 100% soon! We are working on my hubby's office today. No rest for the weary:):) XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteI am always up for an open house tour. You picked two fabulous properties. I think I could move right in to the first one - so pretty and classic. Such a great giveaway too! I will keep my fingers (and toes) crossed.
ReplyDeleteBreathtaking? I think your house is the breathtaking one!!! Stunning!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog :-)
I love, love, love the first one. It makes me want to throw everything out and re-decorate my entire house!
ReplyDeleteSo elegant!
I love the first house! What I love most about it is the indoor pool pavillion - that is just stunning!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you are feeling a little better; I'm sorry that you're not feeling 100% though.
I know what you mean about wanting to get out - we had some snow/ice storms last week, and it only took 2 days being cooped up inside to give me cabin fever :)
humm. this is hard as they are both so pretty but i would go for the second house, not so much the exterior as much as the interiors which are magnificent in every way. Both though are really out of this world. Glad you are feeling a bit better..these things take their sweet time thats for sure. Be well and great job.
ReplyDeleteI like the first house better as it's closer to my personal taste but I can also appreciate the colours which are used in the second home.
ReplyDeleteThis is my favourite post because it has an inspirational garden! I'm trying to create a garden in my own house and this cottage style is lovely (but a bit bigger than my garden!)

The first house would be spectacular for a party or wedding. I like the Spanish influence in the second house...feels appropriate and to scale with the Spanish settling California. Beautiful.

Tina,
ReplyDeleteI love both properties. The dream would be to have both - one for fabulous lawn parties and one for relaxing and riding.
Thanks for leaving a note on my last post - I enjoy connecting with new people - I'll follow you on. Rita
Love the pool and hot tub area of the second home & how the umbrellas and pillows appear to be the same color as the pool water! Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you're feeling better. Thanks for stopping by my blog for a visit.
ReplyDeleteHands down #2....#1 just isn't my style. That fringed knole sofa needs to come to my house! I'm currently obsessed with them. Vanna
My favorite post has been the one of the "Ingredients for a French Kitchen". I love all the images; they look so warm and inviting. Your blog is very lovely!
ReplyDeleteXoxo ♥

Definitely the first one - it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThe first show house had the most brilliant collections! The ivory on the coffee table, the shagreen cases in the bedroom...I swooon.
ReplyDeleteThey are both beautiful homes but I think the second one is my favorite.
