Red hot on Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!
Well I am finally seeing the light at the end of this tunnel.....and feeling better today~not perfect but far better than yesterday, and "getting back in the saddle" is only a day away........didn't make it to the house yesterday but possibly today and will take some updated pictures.
How could I not do a post on something red for Valentines day? I know I will be like everyone else..... but let's face it if there's a day to dedicate to red interiors......today, folks is that day! So today we pay homage to all things red. And though I confess that I am not what you might call a "red enthusiast" when it comes to home decor I think some of these pictures prove it can actually be quite successful when done correctly. In fact many of these rooms are really downright beautiful, demonstrating that red can be really fabulous. Do you have a favorite? Or is there some way that you like to include red in your home? Hope whatever you are doing today, whether its just like any other day for you or you are going all out and doing something incredibly fabulous..that it is a great day for each and every one of you.

Wishing you an enchanting Valentines day........

  1. Happy Valentine's Day! Great idea to focus on red today. While I do love red, it is "the small infusions of color" that appeal to me. Have a wonderful day. Feel better!

  2. Love stinks! No not really but this year it does in my life...thanks for the burst of red, my favorite color. I can do without the sappy prose and little hearts for a while.

  5. Tina,

Happy Valentine's Day! So glad you're feeling better. I enjoy small touches of red accents and my husband leans towards larger sections of red. I enjoy great design and the effects color has on people, their mood, their space. Great display of red rooms here.

  13. Happy Valentine's Day Tina! Glad to hear you're feeling a little better :) And it's nice to know we're halfway through February, and the end of winter is in sight as well! I used to not be a big fan of red, but have recently changed my tune. I still prefer it as an accent color, but just last week ordered two red runners in a Greek key pattern from Ballard - obsessed with them! Have a great day! xo Kelly

  20. I've always used red in small doses (accents, accessories, etc.) & think every room needs at least a small dose. I absolutely love all these rooms, but not sure I could pull off red as the main color without help from the pros. Thanks for sharing. Glad your feeling better.
