ReplyDeleteLove this post, right up my ally. Love anything by Barbara Barry and never heard of Phoebe Howard but she has some beautiful rooms too. My favorite would have to be the silver/blue shimmery room, I love those colors and think its so elegant. Another great post!
ReplyDeleteI truly adore a transitional style and you've shown many fab photos of the style. Did you go to the Hamptons designer showhouse when Brad Ford did the two swings? That was my favorite room of the house...I wanted to relax and enjoy.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite room would have to be the third one down by Suzanne Kassler. That dining room is very soothing and has a relaxed feel but at the same time a very stylish "high" feel. I keep going back to the room by Deborah Lipner, while beautiful it doesn't look finished to me, I think it needs a pop of color because everything is so muted. Transitional style is how I've been slowly bring my home into the 21st century and I love it!Great post Tina!
ReplyDeleteso many rooms and so many different styles...

These rooms just create such a sense of tranquility when I view them. LOVE the comfort and "real" settings we are all starting to accept as standard design...it is about life and living in our spaces. Thanks for sharing the beauty....

Just started following your blog a few weeks ago and I love it! I'm a huge fan of Phoebe Howard too. Her style is sophisticated yet relaxed.

This style is right up my alley, and what I've been striving for in my home. I inherited a lot of antique furniture, and I'm trying to mix that (it's very traditional) in with my more modern pieces. On;y, my home isn't very large. I look forward to moving into a bigger home in several years where I can incorprate this style a bit more. I'd love to use my inherited dining room set and also have a more formal living room.
ReplyDeleteI love all the bedrooms you've posted! I think the litchen in the heart of the home, but my bedroom is my sanctuary, and all these look so inviting, yet chic.
Oh loved this! I'm trying to think of new ways to make my 650 sqare ft. seem cozy but not cluttered for me and my hub... I loved the wood&books feel and look by Victoria Hagan!
ReplyDeleteThis one is very appealing, not surprising coming from one who loves tailored, clean lines and little or no frou-frou. (I think that's a technical term, frou-frou.) I do enjoy both Barbara Barry & Anne Marie Barton, but will have to go investigate Phoebe Howard, she is new. Such a beautiful post, thank you!
ReplyDeleteMay you enjoy a fab Friday, and even better weekend,
tp
All the rooms are gorgeous - I especially love the living room with the pop of coral color!
ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteWhat's not to love about interiors especially these interiors. Great photos get your mind thinking of more possibilities and "what if I..." for more possibilities within our homes.
Sometimes I am more excited than my clients are and I can barely sleep due to all the colors, textures, art, furniture etc. I try to contain myself but it just a different kind of magic that takes over.
Have a great weekend!
Bette
