Midweek random musings....

Hello. Hope this finds you well. I am having a busy week (what week isn't busy) but its also a productive one! I took these pictures with my iPhone a few nights ago as we were on our way to my sons football game, isn't this sunset amazing! I do love a beautiful sunset.......

Moving along to other orders of business........

MY FALL FABULOUS CONTEST. The Contest was a huge hit. I got in over 65 magnificent pictures and the biggest challenge of all will be selecting a winner (glad I don't have to be part of the voting process). I will be posting all the 'contenders next week" and will hold voting over a 1-2 day period. The picture with the most votes wins the prize! More details to come. There are some truly breathtaking images...I must declare my readers are soooo talented! Thanks to all for being a part of it and participating.

MY HOUSE. Finally getting down to business with my bedroom. Ordered the gorgeous silk I have had my eye on for months for the big windows in my closet/sitting area. I may end up using this as the fabric for windows in my bedroom too. Found a perfect velvet for my bedroom (having an ottoman made) and 2 chairs recovered. Then found the perfect blue after a search for a few months of the perfect blue  stried velvet for my living room. Having pillows done and thinking of a tufted ottoman, love the look. So small steps of progress are indeed being made! I hope to have my first full sample of the chinoiserie for the dining room in the next 10 days and am super excited about that!! Here are a few visuals....

Pardon the wrinkles....you can tell I have been carrying these around for a long long time!

The gorgeous Clarence House trim I have had my eye on for months, nothing else compares!

Love this and want to redo my two French chairs in this.....
The silk that came in.....woo hoo!

And the gorgeous living room velvet for pillows and possibly an ottoman (and trims)....
The perfect velvet found at last.......
 Close up of the rug.....

Teddy! So many of you are so kind to ask about Mr. Teddy. He is doing well...he is slowing down as he is 9 years old and is a mellow guy to begin with, I always say in my next life I would love to come back as him...he leads a mighty relaxing lifestyle. A little photo sesh of the man himself....

GORGEOUS WALLPAPER. If only I had enough rooms to use every wallpaper I fall in  love with. Some I cannot get out of mind and this is one such paper.  I am determined to use it somewhere!  This one from Pierre Frey I have had my eye on and am thinking of a guest room done in this...what do you think? So pretty, don't you think!

And I would pair it with luxurious ivory bedding and pillows and shams done in this delicate fabric...

I have to say I am loving it.......

Kind of reminds me of this feeling of a bedroom I have long admired-

GORGEOUS TOLE. I as you know, am so excited about the custom tole line I am carrying...it is beyond beautiful. I got in my own pair of custom lamps (going into my bedroom eventually) and have placed other custom orders for customers. Take a look at whats been churned out lately......click here to see more of this gorgeous line in my online shop.

This lantern just getting primed is being painted green and pink and will soon be on its way to sunny Fla!
My gorgeous lamps....love love love them!

This beautiful pair of lamps......going into a CT. master bedroom, stunning.

And this pair is going into a family room/kitchen area of someone I have been doing e-design with, they were custom colored to match her fabrics

GOOD FOOD! Moving along to happier subjects! You know this is a subject that I am never at a lack of subject matter on:) I do love my food. Here are three things all found on my Pinterest"Food fun" board that I plan on trying this month! Wish me luck..don't they look ridiculously good!

  1. Good morning Tina!

We are having the same crazy weather, being in the high 80s all week. Then one of my classrooms where I teach is infernally hot and I just never know what to wear!

OK, your fabrics are stunning. I imagine it's hard to decide which one to choose, but they are all luscious and rich in texture and color, and they will look fantastic. TEDDY!!!!!!!!!! GIVE HIM A HUG, PLEASE! What a good boy, what a dear, fluffy boy!

Well, off to work I go to enter grades; teaching at the secondary level requires more frequently grading. I'm exhausted! Big love! Anita

  2. Looking forward to your fall colours, we don't have too much autumn colour in Sydney as it isn't cold enough. We are well into spring now and it has been unseasonably hot. Love your fabrics especially that delicious silk.

  3. That is your view driving to football? Lucky gal! I adore the silk fabric for the french chairs, and that rug... The handwarmers are killing me, as well as the porcelain additions to your shop. Keep the goodness coming!

  4. Love the look of those wraps - wraps are the perfect weight for Atlanta winters, where the nights can be cold but the days are usually in the 50s.

I always love your food recommendations - the cheesy artichoke dip looks like a winner!

Catching up on the blogs after a ridiculously busy two weeks, including my birthday last week, which was on Wednesday - it seems like there were celebrations on the weekend before and all week. I am very low key about my birthday, so this is not the norm! I am enjoying a quieter week and the weather could not be better, so all is well!

  21. Nice post! Thanks for the pick me up. Teddy is a baby doll. Take heart, my big dogs lived to 15! Keep 'em indoors and take them for walks. Feed them good food. Give them half an aspirin twice a day when they start to get stiff. Those are my tried and true tips. Snacks look delicious. What fun seeing a Kravet fabric on your post that I happened to put on a client's sofa! It's the little mint leopard print upholstery fabric. Have a nice evening Tina. Hope all is well with you.
