Which would you choose? And a winner!

Hello there! First before I get started with my post, I want to announce the lucky winner of the boxwood ball! Congratulations goes to.....

Result: 78

Tina...

Your blogs always make my day...I love seeing photos of your beautiful home...I think I even dream about your home!

The boxwoods are amazing...I think my favorite is the simple balls...I don't have a lot of imagination but I think even I could find a pretty container for the balls and they would look great! Simple but elegant...

So with a new season upon us...its time to rethink some things in our wardrobe. I started a major clean out of my closet....its a "work in progress" and will require several days of "tackling" and sorting. Out with the florals, light colors, crisp white and all my light flowy tops and in with the black, gray and camel! I must admit I loooove fall dressing more than any other season, give me a great vest, a chic pair of boots, a soft sweater, a cozy scarf...I love it all. It can get a little trickier with formal dressing, sleeves are a nice perk (not only for warmth but you know.........the arms)!

However there are many gorgeous sleeveless gowns that a pashmina could keep company:) So as I started thinking about a dress for a formal event we have this fall, I had fun scouring the web for some truly exquisite choices. Wow...so many beauties here! So you know the drill, imagine the formal fairy has paid you a visit and you are going to be all dolled up for the ball...which would you choose? Is there a clear cut favorite or are you like me and waiver between a few:) Let's go.......

  1. Me first! I have always loved 10, reminds me of my first "big splurge" dress which still hangs in my closet (tiny size therefore hasn't seen the light of day for many years:) but I love how classic 5 is and 11, 14 and 15 are all close runners up. Something to love about each:) Your turn!

  2. As always many beautiful choices. I love 1 for the mix of modern and traditional but 11 and 3 because I love red during the holiday months and the fact that they both have sleeves would mean I would feel very comfortable in them. Such pretty gowns, this so puts me in the mood for a good party!

  3. THIRTEEN!!! I love them all, but for me, I love the light gray and the almost classic Greek look with all the flowing layers. Some diamond studs and a simple diamond collar would suit me just fine with this beauty!

Have a great weekend Tina and LUCKY WINNER! Anita

  8. Hi Tina,
First let me say, thanks so much for stopping in and visiting my house tour! It was wonderful having you over at my blog.
What an elegant post you have today. I have to say, #2 & #3 are for me. I love how beautifully #2 drapes and there is nothing like a stunning red dress and this one is so feminine.
    Have a fantastic weekend!

  12. Such beautiful gowns! Since I alternate between being thin and holding onto a few pounds, for my thin stages, 2 and 5 are tres elegant.

For when I need to cover up a bit more, 5,3, 7. 8 and 11 are incredible!

  15. My favorites are the Temperley dresses - I have followed her from the early days when my daughter fell in love with one of her dresses for a formal when she was in high school. I would be most likely to wear #13 myself, though.

Have a lovely weekend, Tina! xoxo

  16. The Bronze Lanvin. The Headturner of the season !! All are wonderful constructions of elegance and style. But the bronze would never go unnoticed and lets face it....I would be aiming for belle of the ball ...Oui ? It is in my book pure perfection.

  17. If I had only one choice it's definitely No. 2 ...Lanvin.

    ReplyDelete
  18. I can never narrow it down to one, sorry! For me its 6, 7 or 10. To die for!

  26. This required multiple views...so much to admire here. Makes me want to attend a party this weekend.
1 is pretty special as is 5, 11 and 16 but truthfully I could close my eyes and point to one and be a happy lady. This makes me miss my garment center days when I worked as a buyer for Adrienne Vittadini and later dear Calvin Klein. Love your blog Tina. You really do have exceptional style.

    Have a nice weekend.

  27. HANDS DOWN 10 OR 14!! LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH.

  34. Since I am much thinner and taller in this post I will pick #2 or #8! I love to dream over here on your blog. I am so much younger, thinner, taller when I visit here! Maybe I should stay forever?!! LOL

  35. As long as I get the model's body, I choose 5. What a great selection! Have a wonderful weekend, Tina!!

    ReplyDelete
  36. If my arms were showable, I'd definitely go with #5. Does anyone else think of the My Fair Lady in the ball scene gown when they see #16?

    ReplyDelete
  37. Since we're trying to infuse a bit of color in our mostly neutral wardrobe, we'd have to go with #3 - that red is fabulous! Have a great weekend, Tina, and enjoy the beautiful fall weather.

  42. #1 baby! What a great mix of something a little edgy and feminine with the lace, gotta love Valentino who hits a homerun every time. That's the dress for me.

    ReplyDelete
  43. For me there is a clear winner here! Choice 14 by Temperley London in the white classic style dress is simply elegant. Sheer perfection!

If you are in the mood for something more sassy then Choice 15 looks fun and flirty too.
