Ripe tomatoes right off the vine serve as constant inspiration for what I prepare come summer
I made a wonderful cucumber, bellpepper, tomato (red and yellow), red onion, feta Greek chopped salad, a little olive oil, sea salt and fresh pepper....yum!
My tomatoes for my summer pasta dish marinating for about 4 hours, with plenty of fresh basil and garlic (please dont' judge my soccer bowl..haha)
This wonderful mixture is for one of the corstinis I was serving, its tomatoes, olive oil, kalamata olives, grilled zucchini (chopped) and topped with shaved Parmesan
Preparing my Chinese chicken salad, this is always a huge hit!
Chinese chicken salad getting ready to be mixed
Ugh...the water cooler (just block it out)
How pretty are the white hydrangeas!
I know that darn water cooler is such an eye sore...we have to remove it but my husband can't live without it:)
Some of my favorite silver pieces at the ready............
My pretty condiment holder....doubles for sugar packets!
How gorgeous are the chargers!!!!!!! One of my absolute favorite finds...........
I alternated patterns to make it interesting! Down to my last few sets.....they are sooo elegant.
Drinks all ready....
A new crostini that is to die for, marinated 4 tomatos, 1/2 cup blk ovives, roasted 2 zuchinni in olive oil and diced, added one can of white kidney beans, mixed together and added sea salt, olive oil and pepper. Marinated for a few hours, served on crostini with shaved parmesan.....heavenly!
Close up
And the amaizng peach sangria!
Cannot tell you how fabulous the peach sangria is....I don't serve it in the pitcher but pour it in the glasses then serve........
Tomatoes waiting to be tossed with pasta......
Chinese chicken salad......
Yum!
The summer pasta dish I so love..its a summer staple in this house!
Love this container for ice and mini bottles for serving
Love serving crostinins on my Spanish olive trays (and yes I sell these under European kitchen in my online store)
I am getting hungry all over again! The second ones are done with buffalo mozzarella and chopped mushrooms sauteed in garlic and olive oil.....tres bon!
The Chinese chicken salad and a wonderful grilled Salmon that a friend brought....
Some more snippets of landscaping.......coming along, they planted the ivy on the facade to the far right, the far left and on the tower part of the center, cannot wait to see it do its thing! The planters are going...not at all what I wanted but one of the landscapers insisted we try them.
Side door
Big tree by garage, you might not realize it but its about 12 feet tall, its huge!
Did you notice we got the lead coated copper finials put on the roof! Will have to take some better pics of them...they are gorgeous!
The ivy....
So that is whats going on over here.Sorry I realize some of these pictures are redundant and I can imagine you are saying "why is this woman showing this picture yet again" Well, you know I can get carried away with my pictures. Nothing crazy, just busy and trying to figure out a way to enjoy summer! I feel like now that its here I have to get in summer mode and start figuring out a way to get more leisure time, especially before those rows of back to school supplies and winter coat advertisements start bombarding us! Wishing you a wonderful day and thanks for stopping in.
The landscaping looks great! Its always so nice when it starts to come together. Your tomato dish looks wonderful. I recall you making it last fall as well? The hydrangeas look wonderful as always. I also like how you used the bottled water in the silver piece. Im getting closer and closer to buying from your European line, but I fear when I start I may not stop! Have a great day.
ReplyDeleteI had just about finished salivating over the food, and then you got me going again with the house! LOVE IT ALL!!!
ReplyDeletePaula xxx
The luncheon looks delicious ~ so many of my favorite items. So lovely and inspiring. . .
ReplyDeleteTina, all I can say is I smell a book in your future, combining ALL your talents from cooking to entertaining to setting a gorgeous table to decorating....seriously you are just amazing! Love every single picture and now am off to buy those chargers. I can see my Thanksgiving table now!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the powder room. The landscaping is coming along quite nicely. And when are you going to invite me over so I can chow down on all this yummy looking food?!?! :)
ReplyDeleteYou know you had me at the crostini. Everything looks incredible! Wish I could have been there to taste it all. Someday! xo
ReplyDeleteOh, it all looks so yummy! I'd love the recipe for the Chinese Chicken Salad. And I am so enjoying all the pics of your home. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteThe copper finials are wonderful!!
ReplyDeleteDreamy, everything, dreamy. I love, love the boxwood, ivy, limestone etc. Simply beautiful! What a gorgeous home! Thanks for all the pics. I love everyone of them.
ReplyDeleteLooks wonderful- I think I make that same salad minus the chicken- I think I'll try it that way. It IS always a hit and definitely trying the peach sangria. Summer drinks are the best!
ReplyDeleteYour landscaping is coming along so beautifully- I give you credit for listening to your landscaper about the containers- I'd probably be a bit more stubborn if I really wanted something different!
Your home is really coming along Tina. Personally I love your planters but not where they are, they blend in to much and disappear. Love your landscaping and the ivy will be beautiful. Ok move your husbands water cooler into the pantry where it won't show. My husband has to have one too but I moved it to the basement stair landing where I can shut the door on the ugly thing. Your lunch looks fabulous your friend must have been so please!

Debra~
your house is so breath taking, it looks like you get a lot of enjoyment out of living and entertaining there....oh and also you are very inspiring as well......
ReplyDeleteSo funny about the water cooler - but no worries :) those of us with husbands totally understand Lol!
ReplyDeleteYour menu looks perfect and I will definitely try the sangria.
Love the paper in your powder room Tina! .. and the landscaping is coming along and looking fabulous as I would expect!
Leslie
Lunch looks delicious and so does everything else but......... really on the water cooler. How about in the pantry or somewhere else in that huge gorgeous house! I know you can't please everyone all the time but it would kill me! xo
ReplyDeleteYour luncheon and tablescape look amazing in that gorgeous room! The wallpaper is phenomenal, and your home...a french chateau in the states? magnificent.

oh the powder room! it's stunning, tina. i would eat all your food except i'd pick the onions out of the salad. i haven't grown up yet with the onion thing.
ReplyDeleteyour landscaping is just what i want someday: crisp and calm and understated. i cannot have enough boxwood. beeeeeeeautiful.

My mouth is watering! Nothing like lunching over a delicious array of summer salads amongst pretty flowers...
ReplyDeletexxoo
I love how you say, you 'just had a little impromptu luncheon' Everyone wishes they had a friend like you who could whip up such a little impromptu feast. Everything looks beautiful. I love your blue and white plates, I have them in brown. :) I'm always thrilled to get any new peeks at what's going on around the house. I love all the boxwood. Don't worry about posting too many pics........no such thing!!! ha ha
ReplyDeleteTina - your house continues to AMAZE me! Do all the people you know live in mansions like this? Wow. Just unbelievably beautiful! The decisions you have made throughout this whole building project have been impressive. Your food looks delicious and I'm sure your guests felt very spoiled!
ReplyDeleteJordana
The water cooler is just proof of life taking place in a beautiful home. Don't worry about moving it. The wall paper in the powder room is beautiful. The food looks refreshing and yummy, perfect for a hot summer day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Day!
The food looks delicious, Tina, and so does the house. It must be so exciting to see it dressed up with landscaping. (Not to offend your husband, but do you think he would mind if you put the water cooler in the laundry room? Maybe he wouldn't mind and everyone would be happy.)
ReplyDeleteXO Victoria
You have a beautiful dining room and lovely taste but that water cooler has to go! I suggest your husband learns to walk to whatever room or cupboard you can hide it in. I hope you all enjoyed a delicious lunch.
ReplyDeleteTina, As Always everthing is AMAZING. I loved seeing the landscaping photos, perfection. And what lucky friends you have to prepare such a wonderful lunch for. As for the water cooler, I am quite sure your husband is well worth keeping this handy, however, I wonder if you could find (custom order) a water cooler in your beloved blue and white, wouldn't that be something. More photos of the precious Teddy, please, we love him so much. Susan & Emma (15 year old Golden girl)
ReplyDeleteLove this post. Your food and sangria look incredible, so good and fresh! Iam now on a kick to try the crostinis.
ReplyDeleteThe house always takes my breath away, just so spectacular and done so right. I am so happy I found your blog, its where I get my daily dose of beauty!
The house is looking so inviting with all of that greenery around it - lovely! Glad you are getting some more leisure time in - I'll be stopping by for some of the bruschetta eventually for sure. :)
ReplyDeleteYum. Yum to everything: the food, the sangria, the powder room wallpaper and the landscaping. Amazing how a few mature plantings make the house more "lived in", like it's been there for a few years.
ReplyDeleteYes, you must "carpe diem" the summer, because you're right, if you blink, it's gone!
I am SO in love with that wallpaper in your power room it makes my heart SING!!! Sconces are very nice with it! Enjoyed all your pics of EVERYTHING! House has really shaped up and I know how proud you must be! I really like your planters (for me!) so send them on over! LOL!
ReplyDeleteyou are so stinkin' cute. i am absolutely smitten with that paper. heavenly!
ReplyDeleteOh so lovely! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina, almost too much to take in at once! I LOVE your tablescape, it is breathtaking. Watch out Martha Stewart, those chargers are to die for as is all the blue and white with the white florals.
ReplyDeleteYour lucky guests were treated like royalty, your "impromptu lunch" would have me stressing for weeks! I love the menu especially those crostinis and the peach sangria, yum. I will have to try it this Sunday when we have our family over for Fathers day.
Last the landscaping is heavnely, you have a talented landscape architect (used to work for a very prestigious one in Atlanta area) and I can see yours is top notch. The manicured not overly done but very old world approach works beautifully for your magnificent home. Thanks for sharing, such fun to follow along.
PS That wallpaper is outrageous, absolutely perfect.
Tina,
ReplyDeleteI am so hungry after seeing the pics of your delicious luncheon!!!!!! How much Peach Schnapps do you use in your sangria? Also, would you care to share your Chinese Chicken Salad recipe with us? You have indeed inspired me!
Thanks!
Well you had to know I was going to be in complete heaven seeing all that boxwood!! I am so happy you didn't do ugly landscaping with that gorgeous house. SO MANY PEOPLE do ugly landscaping! I can not figure it out! LOVE LOVE LOVE all the boxwood and ivy!! You've got the whole thing figured out don't you? YES!
ReplyDeleteAlso, love the wallpaper.. it's exactly how I envisioned also and is amazing!
The tomatoes are killing me! I can smell them through my computer screen! The grocery store is where I've been getting mine and they are like plastic! So bad.. I need to get myself to the farmer's market asap and make the tomatoes/pasta.. Everything looks delicious, but the tomatoes and pasta looks really to die for!
Hi, Tina!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks super delicious! I'm definitely going to try the Peach Sangria...
Love the landscaping.
Have a wonderful evening,
Nickiexo
wow tina, so much so suddenly! first may i drool for a bit over here for that peach sangria and summer salads?! wish you lived next door.........
ReplyDeletethe powder room and landscaping are exquisite.......it has been a blast watching everything come together
big hugs
debra
-oh yes, those zinc finials are to die for!
I am seriously starving...happens this time every day, but hubby doesn't get home until later....so this is true torture! :)
ReplyDeleteThose dishes look so amazing and I love how you are able to balance it all. Business, blog, friends, family and hostess! You are truly an inspiration, Tina!!!
xoxo Elizabeth
ps: House updates are really fabulous!!!
Never redundant, your pictures and your home are amazing.
ReplyDeleteThat salad looks amazing, the colors are divine! So far this week I saw two other blog posts inspired by yours, one about hydrangeas like your previous one and one with lots of blue and white in decor!! You're such a style influencer!!
ReplyDeleteI'm traveling back from Chicago tonight where it has been glorious, I hope the weather on the East Coast gets better!!
xo
Sharon
It all looks divine as usual, Tina! I could eat that salad and drink that Sangria right now! Yum! And the landscaping is beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
Food looks so fantastic. Thank goodness we can't smell it from here...lol All the prep work, table settings, silver, flowers, meal set up is wonderful there is an art to food presentation for sure. Love the powder room paper too, the landscaping looks so natural like it has always been there and the ivy will take off in no time. Rain will help the plants get settled in before the heat comes calling. Everything looks devine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely lunch! Birthday friend must have loved it! ;)
ReplyDeletePowder room is looking lovely!
It is looking so spectacular - your bathroom with that wallpaper is just so stunning - and your beautiful blue and white table gives Carolyne Roehm a run for her money! The landscaping and house exterior is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular as always! Can I ask what are the small plants by the paths and under the 12 foot tree by the garage? Thank you!
ReplyDeleteAs always, there is just so much to respond to but I'll just say thank you for all of the inspiration--and curse you for making me so hungry!! :) I second the request for your recipe for the Chinese Chicken salad please.
ReplyDeleteOh my! If I can't live in your gorgeous house then I want to at least attend a fabulous party!! hee hee. Love the mini Perrier waters... soooo cute. The food looks amazing. LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE the powder room. That paper is to die for. You need your own HGTV show. You could cover entertaining, decor, cooking. You make Martha Stewart look completely untalented. xo
ReplyDeleteI am in love with the landscaping Tina!! Oh wow, it looks so gorgeous~I love the clipped boxwood and the ivy...what is planted all around the house in front of the bigger plants...is it more ivy or periwinkle vinca ground cover or what? Love the look of the peach sangria too!! And all the food...you are just a tour de force I have to say!! You do need your own show!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely gathering and what a lucky friend! xx
ReplyDeleteLove that Peach Sangria recipe. I plan to serve it at my next soiree. And your powder room..........to die for!
ReplyDeleteYour landscape is amazing...hopefully you will show pics again as those beds begin to grow and spread. Will be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYou are the hostess with the mostess--that is for sure! Everything looks amazing!! Wow does the landscaping really make a difference! Beautiful!! Leslie
ReplyDeleteI AM THRILLED FOR YOUR GARDEN!!!!! Oh dearest, finally, you have your dream green world happening! And the manor looks splendid, hugged in nature's beauty. OK, the food, the WALLPAPER....there is a lot here to keep a smile on my face all day long. Love to you and Teddy boy, who I suspect is totally on the mend?
ReplyDeleteHAPPY DAY and enjoy a wonderful Father's Day! Anita
Your home is lovely and your recipies are wondeful! I will be trying some this weekend. About the cooler, I live in The Bahamas and we can't live without them either! I hate the astetic as much as you (he,he)so I found one that you load from the bottom. That way you don't see the bottle. And you can use the top for floral arrangements. Enjoy your home.
ReplyDeleteOlga
all the food looks incredible!
ReplyDeleteI'm saving all of your delicious recipes... I've promised myself that I will start cooking when we move to Patina Farm!
ReplyDeleteYour garden is looking wonderful. I love all of the topiaries.
Oh, and your table setting.... fantastic!
Thank you for all of the inspiration (recipes, gardens, and entertaining... all in one post!).
xo
Brooke
Hmmmmmm. I can't decide which is the prettiest. The food, the table, the powder room, the house, or the landscaping. My goodness! It's all breathtaking!!
ReplyDeleteYou have the most amazing home. I love all of your blue and white. Your table looks lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove all of the details!
- The Tablescaper
Ok, I think I see an "Enchanted Home" cookbook in the making! Can you share the exact ingredients and quantities for your peach sangria and summer pasta recipes....pleeease????
ReplyDeleteTomatoes ripe off the vine are one of my favorite parts of summer! Your recipes look delicious! I love the powder room paper-- so elegant. And the landscaping is looking wonderful. Don't you think white hydrangeas are so perfect as a cut flower? I love them year-round. They last for so long and go with EVERYTHING.
ReplyDeleteI hope your weekend is restful and fun!
Keri
Look at you Ms. Grand Hostess! When did yo say you wanted me to come over? (You will find me over at the table with those crostinis with shaved parmesan...).
ReplyDeleteMay I say it again. What a beautiful home you have, Tina. You should be so proud. I am proud for you!
Love to you and Happy Weeekend.
Mon
Oh my... I saw today's post and I had to rewind so I could see the photos! I just ate breakfast and I want to a bite of everything in those photos! I MUST make the peach drink and I love the salad and the pasta dish. Your lunch was decorated so beautifully, too Love the hydrangeas. And LOVE the wallpaper! Now on to today's post... :)
ReplyDeleteOK...so the house is looking very good...the wallpaper I love, the landscaping is fabulous.....and all that food? Well let's just say I wish I was inside the circle of Tina...to get some of that fabulous food...boy it looks so damn good. I am really hungry right now too!
ReplyDeleteThe house is looking wonderful, and it is so nice to see someone who has marble countertops actually cooking - using that kitchen as it is meant to be used!
ReplyDeletePeople ask me all of the time what I think of marble. I will admit, it is a bit of a pain to have to be so careful - and I don't love the water marks and rings that are the inevitable result of using the kitchen - but I do love the look and feel of marble. Nothing else even comes close!
Happy cooking. So glad you posted the recipes on the latest post!
Those centerpieces are marvelous.
