Which would you choose?

Hi there.....hope you had a great weekend! Thanks for all of your advice about migraines. I look forward to reading over a lot of it today, seems to be a lot of good advice in there! I can always count on my readers to come through and truly appreciate it. Can you believe we are already in April? 2012 is already flying by or is it just life in general as we get older? Think it must be the latter! Anyway today's post is fun.....just imagine this, you are throwing a luncheon for a bunch of your friends. The reason? Why spring of course! Just a lovely "spring-y" get together to celebrate the newness of this majestic season. Its up to you as to what your theme and feel will be, casual and laid back, formal and fancy, a beachy vibe perhaps or a more colorful setting tickling your fancy? There's something for everyone. Intimate for six or big and lavish....... If you were throwing a party for your nearest and dearest which setting most appeals to you? Have you or are you planning a party any time soon? Have fun and cannot wait to hear which you choose!

  2. Id say either 5 or 7. But that is such a hard choice. They all appeal in different ways.

  3. Honestly they are ALL beautiful but 1 or 14 really has the it factor for me. So either one of those for me would be a perfect spring luncheon! Lovely Tina!

  8. #9 I love it. What a great idea for a tablescape. I think I am going to copy for when I plan an upcoming spring time birthday lunch in May for my garden loving best friend. I love the idea. Thank you and hope you have a fantastic day, Tina

  9. Tina, it was hard but I woulld choose 1, 9, 11 and 13 This was very tough they are so beautiful.

  10. I genuinely love them all...why not have a series of parties? Or- perhaps a fundraiser for your charity of choice. Use them all as displays-people actually sit at these tables for a spring luncheon..We have an event in Kansas City called "Tables That Bloom." Wildly successful. Part of the proceeds go to Childrens' Center for the Visually Impaired.

  11. This is such a fun topic Tina, perfect for an April morning! (I'm with you, how did we get to April already?!) I'll go with #2, Colorful & Whimsical, in honor of the season! Second choice has to be Blue & White, fun, simple and elegant!

Sending you a smile for a splendid week to come!

  12. Simple and Serene or Under a Tree Canopy for me! Some of those elaborate table settings make me way too nervous to relax and enjoy :)

  13. Since I love butterflies have to go with choice 2, so pretty and so spring like. I love the colors and those beautiful butterfly cookies on every place setting. A closet second would be choice 16, something about it looks so relaxed and easy I could just see sitting there for hours and hours laughing and having a good time.

  14. I'm going to choose #7. I just love the setting and the colors. Although, like you, I would be happy with any of them. But a garden party is my all time fav.

  15. I love setting a table outside. I love simple and elegant #3, garden party #7, got to love the garden party #9 with the moss and rosemary topiaries. I also love the simple and beautiful old fashioned elegance of #16.
Hope you are feeling better. Sometimes the seasons, like this one has such a high pollen count it triggers not only allergies but migraines. We've found honey, has to be local honey where the bees use the local pollen helps these problems. My husband had terrible allergies and migraines. He started eating honey on his oatmeal five days a week. His allergies and migraines have disappeared! Just saying, it worked for him. Sure beats taking meds for these problems.
Take care and have a great Easter week.

  17. Good morning dear friend!

How are you feeling? I am sure that there was a lot of good advice from fellow bloggers, as I understand many people suffer from migraines, my sister included. I am lucky, I rearely get headaches much less migraines.

As for these beautiful tablescapes...I love the one overlooking the ocean and the one in the vineyard but everyone is fabulous and would be great to have lunch with family and friends!

Come to visit today, I have a little piece written about you.

Enjoy your day!!!! And be well.

  18. Good morning, Tina! Thanks for showing off my new blue and white porcelain from The Enchanted Home! Love it!

I am really drawn to the table with the burlap runner and rosemary centerpieces. The little pots of moss on the cake plate would make a wonderful gift for my guests, too,

    Cheers

  19. Hi Tina, that table in 7 always makes me want to throw a garden party. To me, thats just the perfect setting for an elegant ladies luncheon. I can visualize it on a perfect spring day and I would plan an elegant and tasty menu to go with it. I love each and every one of these however and like you, would love to be a guest at ANY one of these!

  20. Wow, these tables are magnificent, what great research you did for us,it is such a difficult choice to make, I love the Garden Lover, and the Sunflowers would look terrific for a Wedding banquet.

Thank you for such an inspiring Post,

  21. Boy Tina, you didn't make this easy. I've narrowed it down to # 4 and # 14. But I won't turn down invites to any of them.
I hope your headache has abated and will never return.
Thanks for being such a cheerful part of my day.

    Best to You

  22. I prefer hosting a small luncheon and my top pick will be #14 for it's beautiful design. My second choice will be #12 because it's PURE realaxtion. Speaking of relaxation, have someone massage your feet, and specifically your toes (with pressure), and also your fingertips. In the self-healing art of reflexology these areas relate directly to the head, brain, sinuses etc., and you may find some relief from the migraine. Relax and Feel better Tina!

  23. I like number 10 but I LOVE number 3. They're all beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Number 4 for me, sweet Tina. I believe that Carolyn Roehm can do no wrong. So many beautiful tables here.
    Happy Monday.

  25. Well...I give up! I can't choose. I melt at a beautiful table and I would love to sit at ALL of these tables and swoon over the details from the most formal to the very casual!

  26. Not a bad one here, is there anything lovlier than being a guest at a beautiful springtime luncheon? I am invited to a baby shower luncheon in two weeks and I know its going to be a super elegant party, as the girl giving it is an entertaining legend so I am really excited, maybe I will try to sneak in a picture or two! Cannot wait. Something about that first picture with the cheery sunflowers makes me happy. Love them all.

  27. I would be thrilled to sit at any of those tables but if I had to choose one, it would be #5 - seems to fit right in with my Sonoma Valley lifestyle.

I do hope you're feeling better...

  28. I am in love with #15, followed by #3 and by no means last #4. They all have something wonderful to offer. I love the formality of #15. Have a wonderful day!

  29. oooooooh #4 looks festive and fun, so put my placecard on that table seated next to you, tina.

  30. I like most of them but I choose 4 and 12. Love the ocean and nautical stripes....both by carolyn Roehm! Didn't even realize that until I scrolled back to get the # of the one I liked!

    ReplyDelete
  31. I would either be under the canopy of a tree or by the ocean. I love the outdoors! Sorry to hear of your migraines. I get them as well, sometimes for 3 entire days, sick to my stomach and can not get out of bed. I have totally cut back in carbs, cheese and coffee, the 3 things I love but the good thing is I haven't had a headache for a while and I am loosing weight. No cream in my coffee either which took some getting used to. Hope it all gets better. Another good tip I learned is that high blood pressure can trigger migraines as well.

  32. This one was hard for me. Usually I can choose easily. I think i would go with #13 feminine and sweet. BUT there was something about #3 on the porch I liked too. Maybe that it was small. I like small parties where you can really talk to people. i am not a small talker.

I am currently planning small fete...
My daughter's 6th birthday party with a Springtime in Paris theme. I am having tons of fun. Any ideas for me?

  40. So many beauties, but I have narrowed it down to #7 -- Garden Party Wonder and #12 Oceanside. In the end, I would pick oceanside, because nothing gives me more pleasure than looking at water and because I love virtually everything that Carolyne Roehm does.
Mon and Barbara made great choices from your shop.

  45. I'm quite the laid-back entertainer so choices 8, 10 and 12 speak to me. Waiting for the landscaper to come spruce up my outdoors before having any parties on the terrace, though. Happy Monday, Tina!

  46. First choice is #12 (because of the water)! Then, #7 (because of the blue and yellow color scheme, the lush greenery and trees, and the beautiful white wrought iron patio furniture). All choices, however, are beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  47. As much as I love all of the topiaries and rustic table in Choice 9, I have to pick elegance on the terrace- Choice 14.

    ReplyDelete
  48. #3, #7, and #14 for me! This was a crazy bunch of choices... any of them would be a splendid party! It is fun to dream!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Tina, I would love all of them. Right now if someone would come and decorate for Easter I wouldn't care what they did. I have two wedding showers and a party, plus Easter all in April! I am going to be busy!

  51. Goodness so many gorgeous settings to choose from and I'd probably pick a different one depending on the occasion, who is was for and how many people But generally I'd say choice 3 or 10 are my favourites.
