Hi there, hope you had a wonderful weekend! Ours was actually quite relaxing and it was a true treat to have some real downtime. 10. I choose No. 1 - David Easton. I think he will appreciate and will know what to do with all of our stuff. I absolutely love so many things in your shop but, to choose just one for now, it will be the PA 22 Stunning porcelain planter. I'll have orchids on them and would look great in the living room. bebettcruz (at) yahoo (dot) com

  11. Would have to go with Mary McDonald. I have met her and she is great fun and I think she is extremely talented. My husbands partner had her decorate their home outside of L.A. and it is absolutely breathtaking.

Love your store, Tina. I ordered the dinner napkins and my favorite item (and the item I am buying next) is those tulip belljars, just like yours. I am a copycat.

    Great post.

  16. It would be such a dream and honor to hire any of these talented people. But the John Jacob rooms really spoke to me and ironically, I had never heard of him ( and I read every design magazine there is). You offered fabulous options.

  25. As I'm reading through the designer names, I'm thinking "I can't choose just one!" and I saw you couldn't either! For me, it would be between Charles Faudree, Ashley Whitaker and Phoebe Howard. Sigh - a girl can dream, right? I think I'd have to put their names on straws and just draw one. In your shop, I'm loving the new porcelain with the birds. Thanks for the opportunity!

    ReplyDelete
  26. CHOICE 5 STEVEN GAMBRELL
clean lines, uncluttered, enviting and warm!!!

Mary McDonald. And love the topiaries on your new site!

    ReplyDelete
  31. Charles Faudree for me. I am a big fan of his work and own every single one of his books. He manages to create beautiful rooms that also feel so inviting and cozy.

I love so much in your shop, but the canvas art and belljars rank high as they are both things I am considering and of course love those lemon topiaries.

    ReplyDelete
  32. My favorite, John Saladino, is not on your list, so I would pick another design group I have admired for years -- McAlpine, Booth and Ferrier. All the designers featured, however, are very talented and I would be thrilled with any one of them. I made purchases from your store on Day One -- the silver trophy planter and the monogrammed towels. Next on my wish list when my kitchen reno is completed are the etched bell jar lanterns, but I am off to check out your new additions to see what else is tempting.

    All the best...Victoria

    ReplyDelete
  33. David Easton is the man for me...followed by Cathy Kinkaid. They both do a phenomenal job and I would be happy with the work of either one.

Tina, I visited your shop and I still love the garden fluted urn-I also love the little cherub which appears in the header to that section but I don't see that for sale anywhere. I would love to win those napkins. I have a set that belonged to Grandmother Clara and the ones you are showing are so similar..and I use them every time I entertain for family. So, throw my name in the hat. xo Diana

    ReplyDelete
  34. Love Ashley Whittaker!! also love Steven Gambrell.

Mary McDonald is so glamorous and the rooms you picked for Sherill Canet are among my favorites.
Your napkins are beautiful. I wish you had dinner size with three initials. I would order them right now!!!
BTW your dining room rug is lovely. Do you scotchguard the rug? I am having some eight year old young ladies for a Fancy Nancy Lunch and was hoping the scotchguard will protect???

    ReplyDelete
  35. Well, that's not fair because I said the monogramed cocktail napkins were one of my favorites LAST time! But this time I will say the light weight garden statuary/pots. Suzi pblapere@att.net

  39. Cathy Kincaid, her rooms are to die for. She has that beautiful old world style but for todays living.
It would be impossible to choose one thing from your store! I love it all and eagerly await my purchases. However next on my list is the European dough bowl. My kitchen island is waiting impatiently for one.

  60. Oh, what a decision! I am in love with so much of the work that is shown! I think I would narrow it down to Cathy Kincaid, Phoebe Howard and David Easton, choosing David, because I think we would 'get' each other's aesthetic.
My fav in your shop is the Large Heavily Detailed Planter in Silver SW-08. as is all the rest, so pretty.
    Thank you for this opportunity!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Hands down Phoebe Howard - for me her spaces are perfect...not too much and not too little. That dark green dining room with nailhead wall trim is my idea of a 6-hour culinary experience where the food had better be as good as the surroundings. Amazing!!!

    ReplyDelete
  74. Tina,

Anyone of these creatives would be fantastic. They all bring such unique ideas to a space. Love the Bell Jar Laterns.

  76. No way...too many talented people for me to pick a favorite here. Each one has their own unique style that is just fabulous. Love everything in your store. Congratulations! You have a winner. XO, Mona

  77. What a great thought - now this really had me thinking, because I can't tell you what I would give to have one of these fairy godmothers wave their magic wand over my house at the moment and take all the decisions, work, stress and responsibility away from me and just create something wonderful. It was a hard decision, but in the end I think it comes down to either Phoebe Howard or Ashley Whittaker for a comfortable and elegant family home, although if I didn't had kids and could do something more glamorous I'd pick Mary McDonald.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I'm loving the handpainted tole planter! So pretty. What a sweet giveaway!!

    ReplyDelete
  79. Mary McDonald!! I was so glad you included her. What a great idea for this series! All 16 are incredibly talented, though, and it would be hard to choose. I'm so glad to hear that the store us going well and that you are enjoying it!

I'm going to choose Steven Gambrel although I'd love to see what Thomas O'Brien would do with my city loft and what McAlpine Booth and Ferrier would do to my Italian estate (both imaginary unfortunately!). What a fun spin on your series. Nicely done!

  88. It would be a dream to work with McAlpine Ferrier and Booth. I would absolutely be happy with any of their services.

    ReplyDelete
  89. What a fun post, they are all great so it is hard to decide. If dreams could come true Booby McAlpine would be designing my new home so I am going to make that firm my choice. As far as your store goes, that is another hard choice.the medium size breadboard would be a wonderful addition to the two I have now.

    ReplyDelete
  90. All of these designers are tops in my book, but I LOVE David Easton's tradition with flair! The elements are perfect, the colors sublime - he just does it perfectly time after time! =)

Also love your new store. I'm debating between a couple of blue and whites for my house!
The lighting is better than fabulous! (Could you please put dimensions all your items so we know what size we're looking at? I'd REALLY appreciate that!

  92. Well, my friend as usual with your "which would you choose post" I can not choose one.

First of all it is very difficult for a designer to choose another designer for her own home, however, I would have to say Charlotte Moss then Charles Faudree and David Easton not far behind. They are all amazing wonderful talents for sure! Fun post as always.

  96. The Bavarian bread boards are my favorite. I'm with you it is tough to pick just one designer out of your list. I would have said Charlotte Moss or Charles Faudree right off the bat, but when I looked at the photos David Easton trumped them. I was surprised!

  101. Tina, I love your blog and always enjoy looking at the great pictures you post, not to mention, your house and the beautiful workmanship that is going into it! My favorite items in your store would be the blue and white porcelain, especially the large planter AP13. I entertain a lot and would love to have the monogrammed napkins in white!

  129. Talk about a hard choice! I would be beyond giddy to have any one of these designers do any space in my home. Based on this portfolio, I would choose in this order; MCALPHINE FERRIER AND BOOTH (thought they used creativity and unexpected pieces), Mary McDonald and Barry Dixon.

  130. Awww...I am posting my first comment!! I LOVE your blog by the way! I have spent literally hours looking through your older posts in the last week and have been so inspired...THANK YOU!!!!!

Charles has such an amazing knack for making a house, no matter it's grandeur, feel cozy and warm! Charlotte's use of fabrics....LOVE!

And I am dying for one of the pheasant pillows. I already have one pheasant pillow in our living room, but why stop at one?

  138. Tina, the store looks fantastic! Yay for you! I'm so excited. Now, as to which of these designers would I choose? Well, first off, of course my favorite interior designer and dear friend Dana of Merrill Interior Resources would have to tell me she was unavailable... and Pam at Red Ticking, too. Then, I'd have to go through a series of coin flips... but I think I would choose Charlotte Moss because I've always been dying to meet her. But I'll probably change my mind in about 5 minutes.
Happy Monday, Tina and congratulations again on your lovely shop! XX

  139. WOW - David or Phoebe, David or Phoebe, David or Phoebe....? I think that the lovely Ms. Howard has just tipped the scales for me (Sorry Mr. Easton - I DO love you!).
Also, thank you SO much for stopping by my blog when you were only a week old! Yonks ago, I know, but I have been out of 'blogsphere' for SO long, that I am only just doing my catch ups, and I must say that your home and blog is an absolute delight. Well done with the shop as well - inspirational!

  140. Phoebe Howard without a doubt would have to be my all time favorite designer! She "nails" it everytime! You have so many wonderful treasures in your shop. I would have to flip a coin to decide between the pheasant needlepoint pillows or the red tureen tureen (Item number AP17). The tureen has a Herend look about it without a doubt! Keeping my fingers crossed as the monogram towels are beautiful!!

  141. My choice would be easy...Charles Faudree. I have been in many of his homes and one was just as wonderful as the next!

In our current home I would choose Charlotte Moss or Charles Faudree. My choice might change if my home were more contemporary...but then again, maybe not! Love your blog and love your store's inventory. From your store I've been eyeing the monogramed napkins, great price!

    ReplyDelete
  172. Meg Braff, Cathy Kincaid and Ashley Whitaker have decided to work together on my house. Cathy will do the formals and the entry, Ashley will do the kitchen, breakfast room, family room and game room. Meg will do all the bedrooms and baths and the sunroom. I can't wait to have you all over to see it!

Tina, I decided that my feature will be much better if I wait until my oder arrives. I'm looking forward to featuring you!

    ReplyDelete
  173. I would probably pick Mary McDonald 1st (but not necessarily based on the photo below but her other work I've seen); Phoebe Howard and Bobby McAlpine tied for 2nd. Though I would be extremely honored and excited to have any of them!!! (Jan Showers is another one I would chose)

  176. I am a big fan of more relaxed styles, more Pottery Barn- ish, very comfortable with family in mind, not so frou-frou. Most of the recession, decorator homes here in ATL are as such and feature earths tones and browns and greens are the new neutral.

Dearest, do you know anything about the upcoming trends in kitchen counter tops, something like corrugated cardboard or compressed wood? Have you heard the guilt-trip rant about how all of the granite used on our counter tops has ruined the natural stone quarries in Africa?

Know anything about the new "environmentally sound" homes...no granite, of course?

Homes styles change too often, and that, ironically, is not environmentally sound!!!

Have a wonderful day and thanks for the most awesome blog!!!

  177. Oh goodness so many pretty things from which to choose in your store! The beautiful gold ornate French mirror could be right at home in my entry way. The Deep Cut Lantern has a spot in the living room and the blue and white candelesticks would be awesome sitting in the book case (and then on the dining table!!).

Who to decorate our home? Well, David Easton does a beautiful inviting look that I love, Mcalphine, ferrier and booth would suit our needs, too. As would Steven Gambrell.. soo many wonderful choices, so hard to choose.

Thanks so much for inspiring us with your lovely blog. Also a great big thank you for a chance to win these awesome linens.. a true weakness of mine...I'll just take 12 cocktail napkins with a B if you please...........and I'm so lucky! Thanks anyway.. xo marlis
