Mid week musings and a winner!

Hi there...hope all is well on your end. Busy week over here. Lots going on. I had a post prepared for today but somehow it has mysteriously gone missing. Blogger...whats up now? So strange, and then I know as has happened in the past, it will magically reappear. So this was a quick impromptu post. First things first, I want to announce the winner for the monogrammed linen giveaway. Congratulations goes to Barbara from Haus Design  (as per randompicker)

Please contact me and let me know if you want the cocktail napkins or the guest towels and what initial you would like.

So...a few odds and ends, of things going on over in this neck of the woods. I am the first to admit I am like a kid in a candy shop when it comes to boxes arriving. Well suffice to say I have had lots of boxes arriving in the last few days....and I am so happy I indulged in a thing or two myself because I have to tell you I truly love everything I am about to ship out to what will be I know happy customers! But I know  spring is in the air when I get busy with my flowers.....

Love playing with flowers......added these mini white azaleas to this huge oversized orchid pot

Added extra peat moss and I love the effect!

I got an order for three of these pillows and I was packing them up, I immediately  realized a few of them would be perfect for my window seat. What do you think?

And the back which is a beautiful tan velvet works great too, love these pillows!

I think its a match made in heaven!

Got some Bavarian bread boards in for orders to fulfill and got one for myself, I love it!

Some of the pretty canvas art came in....gorgeous!

The rug in the dining room is a keeper and now I love it, ready to start choosing fabrics,etc....

I love the light in the late afternoon

Finally the paper is going to be taken away once and for all within the next week!!!!!

Got this tureen and plates in for an order, and I am flipping over it. I must buy this for myself...isn't it gorgeous? So Herend-ish.

Having this store could be hazardous....I want everything I have gotten in for others!

On my walk during a very humid (can't believe I am saying that in the spring)! morning I spotted a beautiful patch of daffodils just opened on a misty morning......thankfully I had my camera in tow.

So that's whats happening over here.......have to get back to work. Wishing you a wonderful day..whats happening on your end? Anything exciting? Don't know how your weather is but over here we are having a ridiculously mild spring so far.....as in record breaking temperatures. I can live with this but pray its not indicative of the kind of summer we are in for! We all know those hot humid days are not conducive to having a "good hair day".
Enjoy your day:)

  1. The weather here has been so weird too...I had the a/c on yesterday! It was over 80 degrees which is unheard of at this time of year. Normally we have snow and winter coats!

  2. So much beauty all in one place. Love the pillow idea for your window seat, your orchids are so pretty, that is really gorgeous. Do you have a background in floral design by chance?
The pictures of the daffodils in bloom are beautiful. I owned my own clothing boutique for 7 years, it was loads of fun but laughed at your comment because that first year I spent way more than I made, everytime something cute came in, I got one for myself.
Must get a bread board, I cannot wait to get my dough bowl and have several things on my list from your beautiful shop for next time.
    Enjoy spring.

  3. Tina,
I would give anything for your weather. We are so cold here in the Pacific Northwest! My daffodils are trying to go back underground. I loved looking at yours. You home is really coming together, the floors are breathtaking.
After a year in my new house I finally picked my Chinoiserie wallpaper. I am thinking a couple of items from your store would work great too! Check out my wallpaper on my blog if you have time, I think you will love it. Enjoy your day!

  5. Melissa is right, the daffodils here in the Pacific Northwest look like they need someone to knit them sweaters! A little humidity sounds like heaven about now! I'd love to take a walk in the misty wood - how pretty! Your orchids are gorgeous, too. And I'm so glad Barbara was the winner - I'm sure she'll love having some linens to feather her new nest! XO

  7. That tureen is amazing! I want it!! Congratulations to your winner. I love what you did with the orchids, I don't have a green thumb but will have to try it.
You must be having fun with all those great things you have in your store. I noticed some things are no longer on the site, does that mean they are sold out?
Love that you are selling what you love, and your yard pictures are exquisite.Your house gets prettier by the day. Have a great day, Tina

  9. You & I are alike in so many ways, especially the huge container filled with orchids & other flowers. And, Tina, I simply adore all your merchandise, I know you will do extremely well with all this. Our spring is beautiful, very mild, very Texas. At this time I'm usually planning a European trip for the summer, but this year we're staying in the USA. Big hug, sweetie.....

  10. Tina you're going to be your own best customer! Beautiful items you have for sale. Love the daffodils and ours are about ready to open too. Dylan dog is not liking this early spring heat nearing 80 degrees. Thankfully come the weekend it'll go back down to where it belongs...cool!

Tina - you crack me up.... One for you & one for me... One for you & two for me! Look out girl! 13. i am always dazzled by the light streaming in your house that you manage to capture at the right moment. how cool that you get to sort of preview these items from your shop in your very own evolving rooms.

i have family visiting from arizona so we have some fun diversions from the 'everyday' planned. and saturday i'll be indoor fleamarketing and promoting at randolph street market--heaven!

smiles and hot sunshine (we've got a lot!) to you.

  14. SO happy for all your successes with your shop!! Yeah for a mild Spring too. Those daffodils are beautiful. Not much new here ...just finished Unbroken for my book club tonight...AMAZING book (start a little slow though). Have a greta day Tina!

  15. Ah, the perils of a first time merchant...having to have one of everything you are offering for sale. When you love every item you have selected for your store it is so hard to not choose one for yourself! As the novelty wears off, you will again edit your house and perhaps have a great big tag sale! So happy for you that you have found another venue to channel all you energy. Love your orchids. So missing Spring- it's down right hot with recorded breaking pollen counts here in Atlanta.

  19. Tina,

Congrats to Barbara such a talented Graceful Lady! She'll show us how to use the guest towels or cocktail napkins.
Love all the "goods" also and especially the pillows!

We're kind of sunny breezy here on tbe coast with rain coming this weekend (we need it ) so no complaints from me. Roses are starting to burst here and that's exciting. First blooms are the best and I'm sure that's how you felt seeing yours as well.

Your home is filling in gracefully and that's the best approach just like a cooking recipe let the blends simmer a little and your taste evolve as the rooms speak to you.

  25. 84 in our neck of the woods today. I can't pull myself away from the garden clean-up- feels so good to be outside(totally MIA from my blog...again!- I honestly don't know how you do it!). I have to say that I love your photographs where you can see though a series of the doorways- for example, the shot looking into the dining room- it's just so pretty. Also loving the red tureen- kind of a nice change from the blue and white that we adore.

OK, that photo looking into your dining hall is superb, with the morning sun streaming in. There is something about the sun coming in through a window like that that brings my childhood to mind. AND THEN THE PHOTO of your staircase. I can see that shot as being an ICONIC image in blogland!! LOVELY LOVELY things are turning up chez toi and yes, we too have had the WARMEST WEATHER on record here in MINNESOTA! Give Teddy a hug, please and MANY HUGS TO YOU!
