Gorgeous small brook with waterfall greets you as you approach this magnificent home
Look at the vistas from the back terrace, I call the first chair the entire stay!
I would LIVE in this spectacular space.....
Love the babbling brook that greets you at the front of the house....
Just spectacular and room for all of us with room to spare....(and hide)
The views...oh the views!
Dramatic entry...gorgeous!
Love the wine cellar's curved glass wall
This is where some mean Scrabble battles would ensue, right by the roaring fire
And this is where the grand Thanksgiving feast would all come together.....
A cozy breakfast nook where we would all come together in organized chaos every morning
Work would not feel like work in an office with this kind of view!
Adore this staircase!
Where you could drink your worries away....
A total refuge from the craziness that would be raging outside your door (the family)
Love this hallway
Vistas galore in this guest room....
What a great guest room!
Some serious primping could go on in here....
My kids would fight over this room!
Love the earth tones in the bathrooms.....if you need a getaway you might be spending a lot of time here!!
Gorgeous....even the bathrooms have a stunning view!
Moving along...to central Montana and another incredible Locati masterpiece. This mountaintop palace that does not disappoint. Once again it has every luxury you could possibly imagine and a few unexpected ones. Come on in side.....what do you think?
Its all lit up and waiting for your arrival!
I feel like I am arriving at the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole!
Love the colors used here...like a painting
Some serious game playing will be had here
I spy some late night snacking in these woods
Mom, our afternoon Scrabble and coffee sessions will go down in this spot
Cozy breakfast nook for five ( this will happen in shifts) and late night monopoly battles
Beautiful woodwork at every turn
The recreation room could fit 100 people!
This room won't see me...but hopefully someone will make some use of it!
Love the stone walls going up the staircase wall
Yet another family room......this could be the teens hangout room
And when they come in from skiing and playing in the snow..here is where it all goes
Just in case you want to release that inner Mariah or Sinatra...there's a recording studio!
And a dance studio complete with every musical instrument known to the industry!
Thank goodness this is in the basement and its in a soundproof room!
A bedroom like this is meant for lingering all morning long (and afternoon)
This is so inviting....imagine taking a bubble bath when its snowing outside!
Then we arrive to the final choice...located back in Big Sky Montana. Yet another Locati wonder. This sprawling family compound is filled with every conceivable luxury. It is awaiting the arrival of you and your clan. Welcome home......
Just like a painting.....love the pond in front
Gorgeous approach, the calm before the storm
Once sitting here, dont' think I would ever want to get up...hello smores!
What a perfect place for family gossip sessions!
This will be the busiest room in the house!
Grand entertaining to be done here.....
The roaring fire will make this a popular place to lounge all day long once we gorge ourselves on turkey dinner!
The gourmet kitchen is big enough to handle the many many meals that will be prepared on an hourly basis
Love the wall of glass that opens up to the great outdoors...wow!
Our Thanksgiving dinner will be served here...what a view!
Love the black painted cabinetry with the stone wall..so elegant....an after dinner concert will happen here..
A great spot to escape lounge
And when you can't take another minute of Aunt Mary's screeching voice..you escape here
This is neat!
Yet another gorgeous view of the dining room
All the kids would brawl to sleep here...so cozy!
The wine cellar...I call this as "my room"....lol!
Yep, there is even a game room, but of course!
The stairs coming down the basement..love all the woodworking!
And you know there is a movie theater...this would be the most popular room in the house, (after the bar)
And then the billiard room for the overflow.......
Whew....wasn't that a treat! OK so by now you are either:
A. Once again in total awe of my unbelievable overactive, and lively imagination
B. Packing your bags wanting/wishing to go here
C. Racking your brain to figure out a way how you too can plan a Thanksgiving trip like this
D. Calling your realtor, assessing the current value of your home and figuring out if a move out west is feasible.
I am with you on all counts! I could not begin to choose a favorite, I mean they are all beyond dreamy, once there I don't know if I would ever want to leave. They are just beyond description.......and I love them because they could so be enjoyed year round. Would love to know what you think!! Have an enchanting Sunday!
I think I was holding my breath the whole time I was looking! Truly breathtaking- I'm curious who lives in these homes. It's fun to look and it does provoke some ideas, for instance I can see myself incorporating the stepped bookcase into a design for someone. I thought that was very clever.
ReplyDeleteHi there
ReplyDeleteI spent 10 years in Aspen in the 60's and 70's and saw several big, rustic homes like this. I think they are wonderful but my preference would be smaller and cozier. I love the all the wood and rock.
Best........Kathi
These are INCREDIBLE! I have never been to Montana but would love to take a road trip there one day. My daughter spent two weeks last June with a school friend and family at their summer home in Montana and I heard it was much like the homes above..everything imaginable! These are amazing. I love the wood beams and stone walls. I couldn' choose a favorite but maybe if I forced I would stay in number one though I would be thrilled to stay in any of them!!
ReplyDeleteCan picture a hugh family holiday here!!! Thanks for sharing these beautiful homes. Dreaming of a ski trip.
ReplyDelete*** Put any of these FAB places in Park City or Deer Valley (UT), and you've GOT it... a "SOLD" sign with our name on it!!! ~~~ Just wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to share your "finds"... "ya dun gooood, girlfriend!"... (Grins!!!)................
Warmest,

My fav is the first. BECAUSE love to be outside yet hate to be cold. In that house, ha! BIG house! Would feel outside, inside & that is PERFECT! Adore as much natural stone, wood etc as poss., that was tough. Think first still nailed that. HOWEVER the movie theater was really hard to give up, color of seats made easier & the drum set, have a teen at home:)sealed it YIKES although doubt you'd ever hear in a house that size!
ReplyDeleteOMG the first house in Montana….sign me up, so beautiful and peaceful looking and those views, I could really love snow there! All these homes are stunning, who would have thought up in the wilds of Montana huh? Enjoy your day off Tina!
ReplyDeleteWho lives in these houses! Incredible. Just incredible.
ReplyDeleteYou need to bring staff with you, because who wants to cook and clean? You just want to enjoy!
My house would be their potting shed. :^(
The first two are my favorites, but they are all beautiful. Can you imagine having that view?
ReplyDeleteI ha=ope that you are having a great weekend.

ONLY bad thing about coming here is my mind races as to where I can go and how fast! These are beyond in every single way, size, decor, location, just incredible. I would have to go with number 3 because those open walls would draw me to the views and thats all i would do all day, gaze out at the mountains. Plus my family wouldnt make me crazy, they would LIVE in that movie theater being the movie buffs they are and give me free roam of my new beautiful home:)
ReplyDeletelove post and beam construction...it's a ways off but I'll eventually have a place like that somewhere out west...Utah? Colorado?....not sure...lots of inspiration...

Good morning! At first my favorite was the first because of all of the incredible views. Probably really is my favorite, but I did love the addition of the black cabinetry in the third, I think. It went a long way to break up all of the brown decor that is so typical of these type homes. Regardless they are all beautiful and I could certainly enjoy myself in any one of them.
ReplyDeleteI thought I would pick the first house as my fav, but it is the last house that would suit me best! Meet you in the wine cellar!
ReplyDeleteHappy Sunday ~ all three of these grand homes have so much to offer; they literally take your breath away. If I was forced by gun point to pick just 1 it would have to be the first home. Although, it's a tough pick with the last homes wine cellar (which would be my bedroom..lol)and sliding wall of windows. I was born in Montana and it truly is a magnificent state. The view from the first homes office window is testament of that fact, no?! Thank you for commenting on my blog today, so wonderful to be following yours.
ReplyDeleteCheers! Deb
Love the views..I'd be staring out the windows all day long and get nothing accomplished which I suppose is the goal of a vacation house anyway so it would be okay!
ReplyDeleteSo happy you stopped by 24C so I could meet you...I'm excited to explore your blog and your new house!
xo J~
What a beautiful tour! so happy you shared.
ReplyDeleteAll absolutely de-vine..so grande but so warm all at the same time.
ReplyDeleteIt's great...so very warm and extraordinary interiors...lovely!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and for the lovely comment :))
Have a great new week

Tina,
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Montana! And those homes are gorgeous. Nice to see homes with architecture that fits the landscape without being too "lodgy".
Hope your week is wonderful,
Amy
Ooops..forgot to add. The bath with the barrel ceiling wins for me!
ReplyDeleteI love love love the first home with the branches as decor.....never have seen anything like it!
ReplyDeleteWiping the drool off my chin... Love these cozy getaways. I wouldn;t mind living in a home this rustic/elegant
