I hate being sick just like anyone but if you are going to have to confine yourself to bed and lots of rest, then being able to convalesce in a room like the ones above sure makes the whole experience bearable. At the end of the day, there is nothing like walking into ones personal space, your own "oasis" and regaling in your own little escape. When you close that door, you close the door to chaos and stress and finally you can decompress and truly relax. That to me, is what a bedroom should be about. A very important room indeed for the mind, body and soul. Do you have a favorite? Have a wonderful day!
So many pretty ones....
ReplyDeletemy fave is the Jeffery design group, a transitional beauty
a must for me, soft colors, a little sparkle, a comfortable chair and lots of natural light

ReplyDeleteIf I had a bedroom like that, I would probably call in sick in a heartbeat!!!
ReplyDeleteI am really drawn to the cream, blue rooms, as that is the color of my own bedroom. Actually, mine has a subtle metallic wall, pale blue/celadon ceiling and cream linens.
However, the Suzanne Kasler room above is amazing. Love it!

I really love all of the above, but if I had to choose one I like the soft romantic old world charm of Cathy Kincaid. Soft color, serene......I could de-stress and totally relax in this luxurious bedroom......

This is right up my alley, for us the bedroom is a sanctuary, a "safe place" away from the day's stress and strain, truly the one room where we can relax.
ReplyDeleteMy fave has to be the one below your description of a "neutral and monochromatic" color scheme, with the blue-gray-silvery color palette. Bliss. As always, there are another 12 to 15 I adore as well, you shared some lovely, lovely design this morning!
Sending you a smile,
tp
Good morning, Tina!
ReplyDeleteDid you have a good weekend?
I can't agree more with you. My bedroom is also my sanctuary and I love my bed so much I wish I could spend more time there! :-) I have the most comfy bed! I spent so much time in my bedroom during this weekend. I need a lazy, relaxing weekend and that's the place I chose to be. Just amazing!
I also love the "Rinfret" bedroom. So elegant. My tip for a great bedroom? Buy the best bed/mattress, pillows and sheet you can afford. That's where you sleep, so you should invest the most money right there. :-) My bed feels like "heaven" for me. :-)
Have a blessed week!

ReplyDeleteSo much eye candy here! I so agree with your bedroom being an "oasis" I always look for something calming when dreaming up my decor! A sanctuary from the outside world-such an inspiring post!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous, all of them. I know my bedroom is my haven at the end of the day.
ReplyDeleteAll gorgeous! I was really noticing all the details because we are working on a couple of bedrooms right now. Love, love Phoebe Howard bedrooms. Any of her rooms for that matter. Have a great day. Mona
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on a bedroom being an escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday living (especially here in the NY area!) I love a soothing, monochromatic color palette. I love a bedroom to feel elegant and soothing while not looking stuffy. I'm also a huge fan of not having lots of "stuff" in the bedroom.
ReplyDeleteI'm always drawn to white bedding. Like a white cloud in heaven with peace all around, that's the only way I can rest my weary head from a full day! Nevertheless, these are ALL scrumptious!
ReplyDeleteWhat amazing sanctuaries. One is better than the next. But I have to say the bedroom with desert view would make me call in sick for a month!!!
ReplyDeleteoh, i just love a good lazy day spent in bed every now and then! i love the feel of crisp clean sheets and a light to read by is another must!
ReplyDeleteI'm with Renee--the Sherrill Canet is a magnificent interior. Love the integration of the windows with the headboard, as though the bed is morphing through the wall. The chandeleir is perfection--perfect gilded elegance for this stunning room.
ReplyDeleteA quiet calm is what I need at the end of my day and the bedroom by Suzanne Lovell is the answer. The soothing hues, nothing that jumps out at me or says don’t touch me, it’s just there in its quiet elegance.
ReplyDeleteI love the first Mabley Handler room and many of the Sherill Canet rooms as well. I think that last room is Suzanne Kassler's. I covet that mirror over her bed!
ReplyDeleteI love the Taylor Hannah bedroom the most! It's beautiful, so elegant and restful. My bedroom is a work in progress but it will be my haven when it's complete :) I love a big, soft bed with plenty of pretty pillows and soft, ambient lighting. Grey-blue walls have always been my first choice for a soothing bedroom escape...lovely!
ReplyDeleteHi, I just found your blog and I am obsessed! I love these bedrooms--they are all gorgeous, but my favorite would have to be the Victoria Hagan!
ReplyDeleteP.S. The dream home you're building is stunning! Have a wonderful day!

ReplyDeleteThese bedrooms are magnificent! So comfortable and luxurious. I noticed that most have what look to be wall to wall carpeting and it making me think I need a much larger and thicker area rug in my own bedroom. Hmmmm.
ReplyDeletelove the Victoria Hagan and John Jacobs Interiors rooms! Great post, and thanks for stopping by Lacquered Life!
ReplyDeleteToo hard to pick a favorite as you have highlighted so many gorgeous ones. I especially like muted colors in a bedroom and lovely linens.
ReplyDeleteThey're all beautiful, but the last one is so my style. Love it! I would also take the view of the second one-breathtaking! XX
ReplyDeleteDear Darling Tina...

Gorgeous bedrooms! I love all of them!
ReplyDeletewith out question "How beautiful is this open wall with vistas galore and the luxurious draped canopy bed,
ReplyDeleteDaryll Schmitt" EXCEPT the bed would be outside!
My bed & hammock are my haven, but would definitely trade! Oh bed outside, hammock in. Plan!
Oh, I'd be sooo unproductive if my bedroom looked like any of the above. I guess it's a good thing it doesn't look as great as these! LOL:)
ReplyDeleteNone of these bedrooms can compare to the beautiful Victoria Hagan room. Her taste is understated and the most classical. The others don't come close.
