Today I am happy to announce the winner of the Seda France trio. I used random.org and here is my winner! I will be contacting you or feel free to contact me. These are wonderful products that you are sure to enjoy!!
Congratulations......Quintessence!!Winners (1)
Thank goodness its Sunday, I need an official "free pass" to feel like I am off duty today. Its been a long and sometimes stressful week and its nice to have a day just to do as I please..though we all know there is no rest for the weary! By the way, saw Jane Eyre which I had been dying to see..it was incredible. I loved it.....the scenery, music and costumes were breathtaking, the homes it was filmed in "knock your socks off" gorgeous in that hauntingly beautiful, cold and somewhat foreboding English castle kind of a way. Hows that for a description? I loved the film adaptation from the well known novel and would recommend it if you enjoy period films. Sunday is a day to take it nice and slow.....so start your day by going on a house tour with me!!First we start off in Lake Michigan, then head to ranch country, Montana, home of some of the most beautiful vistas in the world and finally back east to Greenwich, CT. You know I love to know what you think so please let me know if you have a favorite! Here we go.....
LAKE MICHIGAN, MICHIGAN. This fabulous stately clapboard classic designed by the renowned Robert Stern took great care to keep this house true to its New England roots. It is understated and classic elegance at its best. Victoria Hagan designed the interiors and its very clear that she has left her indelible and creative stamp on the refined and restrained interiors. The views of the lake that beckon are incredible and this gem is complete with a pool house that compliments the main house. Pretty nice!
BIG SKY, MONTANA. Horse and ranch country. Warm rich colors, lots of wood. Inviting and cozy but still grand. Enough said, lets have a look...... Locati Architects, one of the masters of the ranch house universe, is responsible for this beauty. The hand hewn beams used throughout the interiors adds warmth, elegance and a charming rustic quality that is exclusive to fine ranch living. With a vacation house like this, and vistas and views that this house has..I might never feel the need for a vacation away from home ever again!
GREENWICH, CT. This stately elegant classic brick Georgian in beautiful mid country Greenwich is a bit of a surprise inside. I would describe the style of interiors as eclectic, because as you can see there are a number of different styles going on there, I see transitional, even some modern, traditional, and even some colonial. What do you think of the mix? I love that mirrored door dressing area....step inside.
So that wraps up the Sunday showhouse..what do you think? Do you have a favorite? You know I love to know..its always fun to hear your ideas and opinions! Enjoy your Sunday and rest of the weekend...hope you are doing something fun!
I think the first is my favourite- love the exterior. Have a great Sunday- it's warmish and sunny here again today so hoping to get outside:)
ReplyDeleteCan I choose something from all three? Haha...love the interios of the first, the views and land of the second and the exterior of the third...though I wouldnt' turn my nose at any of them..they are all gorgeous. Nice way to start my day...thanks!
ReplyDeleteEvery home is beautiful but my favorite is the Montana home! Would love to have all of my extended family there for a week!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the Lake Michigan house with it's charming clapboard and stately appearance - along with the magnificent views...my heaven!!
ReplyDeleteI get a little wozzy in the bedroom (4th from the bottom) with walls, drapes, ceiling, upholstery a spread in the same fabric. I'd wake up and think I was on the ceiling...
ReplyDeleteGood morning, what a nice thing to wake up to! They are all beautiful, not sure about the mixed styles idea in the last house, doesn't seem cohesive to me, the middle one is gorgeous, how I would love to gather up my entire clan for a holiday there and the first one is just elegant, subdued and so inviting. On to soccer games now!

ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Quintessence! Yay you!
ReplyDeleteFunny, as opposed to the reader above me, the last one is my favorite! LOL!
Happy Sunday from blustery Chicago!
Andie
Definitely the Connecticut house, although I'm with Terry on the room done all in the same fabric. Too much, especially compared with the other rooms which have an understated elegance.
ReplyDeleteThe living room in the Montana house is gorgeous, amazing, stunning view, but to me, the pompoms on the couch are a huge turnoff! With a view like that, and the heavy, rustic wood decor, that wimpy embellishment just doesn't mix.
My favourite would be the first one for the calm and restful interiors and the second one for its amazing location..have a lovely sunday and do visit my blog when you have a moment xx meenal
ReplyDeleteMercy!! I'd be so thrilled cooking in any of those kitchens. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI told my husband yesterday that the next house we build will be built around MY kitchen! LOL
Congrats to the winner!
Have a blessed Sunday :)

OMGoodness, to have ANY of these kitchens is a DREAM! I love the Lake Mi. house BUT wouldn't want it there.....I HATE the cold weather but the views and setting are GORGEOUS! I love the interiors of this house too. The Co. one is beautiful too. Don't like the Ct. one at all. Don't like the mix of styles. It seemed like you were looking at rooms in different homes. Just me HUMBLE opinion:) Thanks for the tours!!!! Have a great, RESTFUL Sunday! XO, Pinky PS, congrats to the winner!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Q!

ReplyDeleteWonderful for Stacy @ Q!! I love this feature, Tina. All of these homes offer a taste of the luxury of life, don't they? I would love to be a guest in the Big Sky home, what a remarkable kitchen/dining area; imagine everyone visiting would have such a fabulous time. xx's Marsha
ReplyDeleteLake view is splendid, but I'd love to have the Connecticut home, I'd have to make over the fourth bedroom, just to much of a good thing.........
