Based in Santa Monica, California, his work however takes him all over the globe. Featured in every major design magazine, he is a name worth remembering. He has been named three times to Architectural Digest's "AD 100". I like that there is no "cookie cutter" look, each is very custom to the respective home/apt.
Many of his projects appear ageless, and its not clear when they were done which to me is always a great hallmark for good design. I love how he uses the old with the new and his color palette is rich but subdued. Not a bright chevron pattern in sight! In addition to his design projects, he has collaborated with some of the best names in design to create custom collections for notable brands like Brunschwig and Fils, Visual Comfort, Baker and many more. So now that you know a little about this talented man, take a look at his work........
Pretty spectacular don't you think? If you want to see more of his work or learn more about his distinguished firm, click here. Tell me what do you think of his look...... can you see living in any of these rooms? Have a favorite? I have several faves!
If you are a fan of his work you might consider getting his newest book, Building Beauty which is all about how to create the perfect American house. A great behind the scenes look into the decision making and thought processes that happen behind every great room, this is a book worth owning! Click here to purchase on Amazon. This is his fourth book and likely not his last:)
This is an older book but one I love and cherish, if you don't have it I suggest it for your own design library.....click here to purchase.
Thanks as always for stopping and wishing you a fabulous day! Be back soon......

Spectacular is the perfect description. So many rooms and spaces that I wish I could spend my day in. How about a martini on that city terrace, or a glass of rosé under that pergola, or a soak in that tub? Gorgeous. Hope you get through all the busyness, Tina! XOXO
ReplyDeleteDear Tina I adore several of these rooms so so much and absolutely would feel comfortable in them.

What beautiful rooms. I didn't know he has a new book, will go order it now. I love his bedrooms, that billiard room and all of the outdoor spaces are just dreamy. I think you said it best by you don't know when these rooms were created, they have a very timeless appeal. Wonderful post, Tina.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of his work and love his first book. Beautiful rooms and I could see living in any of them. Need to purchase the new book - thanks!

Great creations! I've been looking for some designs to revamp my living spaces particularly for outdoors. My patio could definitely use some sprucing up. I was thinking about getting an outdoor spiral staircase that would lead to my patio from the balcony.
ReplyDeleteHe is amazing! There is not one image that I don't absolutely love! Classic and timeless.. that's the way to go!
ReplyDeleteGreat Post!

ReplyDeleteWhat a talent! Very hard to choose a favourite picture. I think he does outdoor areas particularly well. The one with the wicker furniture and the arches framing that beautiful view is just stunning and I love the freestanding bath in that very simple but stylish bathroom. Have a lovely week. x Sharon

ReplyDeleteGood morning Tina! Awfully late here, but school is keeping me on my toes! I LOVE that photo of the Spanish style outdoor patio with the fireplace. Will you ever light up your outdoor fireplace for us? PLEEEEEEEEEESE? I would love to sit at your veranda by that fabulous fireplace and see how you decorate for an outdoor autumn moment.
ReplyDeleteBE WELL MY DEAR! Anita
His designs are definitely timeless Tina. Thanks for showcasing his work.
