As I am starting to wrap up some lighting decisions in my own home (a number of areas that still do not have lighting), I had a "aha" moment and realized that the perfect solution was under my nose the entire time! The belljars of course. So, several are en route to me as we speak and I can hardly wait!
I particularly love my line (yes I am partial) as they are done with beautiful hand etched detailing...very special plus the heavy discount makes them even prettier:) So today a look at gorgeous belljars and all their many possibilities. How about you? Own any? Would like to? Putting this post together has me wanting to put belljars in every room! Take a look and see what you think....

ReplyDeleteI love belljars too and you have me thinking about a few spots in my home that might work perfectly for a pair of belljars. Love your collection.
Each picture was truly beautiful! I could pin each one of them! I love belljars too! We actually have 3 in a row down the hallway of our new addition…it's my favorite thing about the hall in fact! Can't wait to go back and look at these some more! Thanks for sharing!

What gorgeous photos. My favortite being your gorgeous kitchen. Love bell jars - they add such elegance. Hope you have a wonderful week ahead of you, Tina!
ReplyDeleteI love the look of a bell jar. However, I have found that they are a pain to clean. While most of these shown look fairly reachable, my former home had one in a 2-story foyer. It was a major undertaking to get a tall ladder high enough to be able to get your arm down into the jar to clean. (It was a pretty deep jar.) While I love the look of the ones shown on an exterior porch, all I can think about is the amount of bugs that will accumulate in there every night.
ReplyDeleteTina-
ReplyDeleteThese are such amazing images. I am bookmarking this page. We are moving in Oct. after a year long renovation and I am so excited and antsy to begin the decorating. We are just now starting on lighting. I definitely want belljars in my kitchen and in a few baths, but now think I need them in the hallway after seeing this post! Your belljars are so beautiful too and I know the prices are really good.
For the person above about the cleaning, Frontgate made a special brush of sorts that was specifically for cleaning lanterns/bell jar type lighting that is super to keep the dust and bugs out. You should look at it, its a great little item.
Thank you for this beautiful post so full of great inspiration.
Thanks for that cleaning tip. I currently don't have a bell jar light, but if I get one I'll definitely look for that brush.
DeleteI love bell-jar lighting and the ones in your kitchen look gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove your bell jar lighting and the inspirational images are perfect! They pretty go in any style interior.
ReplyDeleteCan I trade my master bedroom and all that goes along in it for that private reading nook? How often I have dreamed about curling up in an alcove like that. Heaven! Off to read about your trip! Have a great week, Tina. I'm adjusting to the new testosterone at home again. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post. I am in love with so many images and having a ball pinning away.
ReplyDeleteLove your kitchen the most, Tina. I cannot imagine any other lighting there but those belljars. I never realized how many rooms they look so great in though, foyers, bathrooms, and hallways. I love them in 2's and 3's. Really appreciate the work it took to put this together.
I love this post Tina, specially because I also love the beautiful belljars all over. My Mil had several antique ones in her home, which some of hubby's siblings have them now.
ReplyDeleteYour tulip belljars are Beatiful Tina! I do intend on using them at some point. Such beautiful images here! You always do such a great job of showcasing home decor. I'm traveling and have spotty Internet access so I hope you receive this! Happy Sunday:)
ReplyDeleteYes, I am a big fan of bell jar lanterns! They are so beautiful, and, as you have shown, so versatile... fitting into almost any style of interior. Lots of these pics are going into my inspiration file. Have a happy week. x Sharon
ReplyDeleteAmazing and classic... bell jars go with just about everything!!! Your kitchen is stunning!
ReplyDeleteFabulous roundup of bell jar lanterns! In April, I shipped, from Paris, a fabulous antique garden cloche converted to a bell jar lantern. It arrived perfectly intact. But I didn't tighten a screw when I hung it :( Yes, it was a devastating and costly error. Your collection is beautiful and very elegant!!
ReplyDeleteLove bell jar lanterns and yes...your line is the prettiest...Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteI love bell jars...yours are lovely! And your kitchen is so beautiful...love the beams and details.
ReplyDeleteI haven't been able to decide which lighting style to go above my bathtub - chandelier or a pendant, now I am thinking a bell jar might be perfect! Love these great inspiration photos!

Tina your belljars are gorgeous! I love all the images you've shown. Unfortunately I do know one place they don't work well and that's an antique farmhouse. We've tried them in many places and they just don't really work. I'll just have to drool over yours from afar.

ReplyDeleteTina, I too am a huge fan of bell jars. And each and every room that you have posted looks FABULOUS with them in from baths, to kitchens to dining to foyer.
ReplyDeleteI must think of a few more places that I can add them to my own home.
I hope that you had a wonderful weekend!
These homes are breathtaking! My wife just got a major promotion at her law firm and we are thinking its time to upgrade our home. Do you know of any luxury homes for sale in California?
ReplyDeleteLove them too... Gorgeous selection... xv
ReplyDeleteHello my beautiful Tina!
ReplyDeleteBefore anything, I want to apologize for being gone for so long... We're having a busy summer, so many activities for the kids and when we're not doing something here, we're traveling. I love summer, but I'm looking forward some quiet time in September! :-)
How's everything with you? I hope you're having a great summer too, Tina!
Now, this post is incredible, but I have to say that I love your kitchen more than any other image here... your kitchen is PERFECT!!!!
Lots of LOVE to you,

Tina-

These are all gorgeous, Tina! I love bell jars and have one in my powder room (I wish I had known about yours when I renovated our bathroom!). Enjoy your day! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI love bell jars as well. I have one hanging in my foyer from a very high ceiling. While that cleaning tip might be helpful--my bell jar is extremely fragile. The thought of using a brush to clean it I find nerve-wracking. I'll stick with the ladder and dust cloth method.
ReplyDeleteHave always loved bell jars. Even took one from our old house when we moved. It was an inexpensive one that I found at Home Depot years ago, but it had the classic lines. They discontinued it, and I was alway nervous when I was cleaning it, cause I new I wouldn't be able to replace the bell if it broke.
ReplyDeleteIn our new house, my husband and I 'compromised' for the lights over the island. I wanted Bell Jars, but he didn't want clear glass, we ordered school house pendants, cause of the milk glass. They came in, I didn't like them, so we returned them, went to a different company and found bell jars with milk glass swirly glass. I got my 'shape', he got his 'glass'. can I upload a pic here? I don't see how.
All so gorgeous and we're bananas about belljars too. Sadly, our antique homes have low ceilings and we just can;t see how we can use them. We'd be banging into them all the time! Welcome back from your travels.

I have always loved the look of Bell Jars, but oddly enough don't have any in my home....yet! I'm not finished decorating, so they might end up here after all.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous examples....so cute that Stacy spotted lots of your fans pinning away already!
On another note....am besotted with Danielle Rollins and noticed that she had you on her blog roll. Keeping good company, Tina!! :)

Just was at the Paris fleamarket (Les Puces) yesterday and inquired about a bell jar hanging lamp. Pricetag: 1000 euros. She said it was authentic Charles X....great but, I could use the repro! Gorgeous cut glass grapevine design and rimmed with bronze. One of those 'AHHHH' pieces - so beautiful it takes your breath away for an instant.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful post. I love belljars and after seeing this post am rethinking my hallway lighting. I do love your line, very beautiful pieces and great prices. Your kitchen is simply spectacular Tina.
ReplyDeleteYes they are indeed fabulous. I love all your selection, have popped many into my lighting folder. My only worry is how do you clean them? And do they get filled up with bugs?
ReplyDeleteLove them! Used 2 beautiful ones in a kitchen I did last year...so classic...like pearls and blue and white!!!
