Setting the perfect summer table.....and a tabletop giveaway!

Hello there! Have you gotten your summer party groove on? Whether its a table for two or a party for 20.......there is no denying that summer dining is one of the perks of the summer season. Yep, the season of al fresco eating is upon us! I love nothing more than eating outdoors and the only thing that makes it better is sitting down to a beautiful tablescape. And the beauty of summer entertaining is that it need not be expensive, actually a beautiful table can be created with very little, imagination is the only "must have". Add a few candles as the crowning touch and you are ready.......

So I have gathered a collection of wonderful and inspirational tablescapes that reflect elegant effortless summer entertaining. I love summer entertaining,  love setting a pretty table and am crazy for flowers, table linens, beautiful china, sterling flatware, and pretty much anything that has to do with setting a beautiful table! What do you like to do when you set up a summer table? Any special tips you want to share? Do tell!

This to me says its not about how fancy the accoutrements are at the table but how they are displayed, this is simple yet so pretty and inviting and festive! Pottery Barn

Love everything about this from the white ginger jars to the gorgeous peaches and pinks that make this a beautiful summer setting, Barbara and Jo

Love the elegant simplicity of this, a beautiful orange tree against the blue and white......perfection,

Love how vivid and warm this is, and little is required.....bright linens, an urn of fruit, and colored glasses....voila! Media Cache

Another great example of how you do not need to invest a lot to create a beautiful table. Love the idea of individual potted plants for everyone to take home......
This is great looking and so affordable..adding cord or tie as a napkin ring holder to your blue and white summer table!
Gorgeous!! Love the  mix of colors....and of course the stunning summer flowers. Southern Living

Adding even a bowl of lemons and limes is a quick easy way to create a summer feeling centerpiece!

Love this eclectic setting, different chairs, all kinds of interesting tidbits as centerpieces...this illustrates beautifully that your imagination is your only limitation! Brandon Kidd Photography

How pretty is this? Love the idea of a vintage crate filled with beautiful colored fruit against sherbert colored flowers.....add white plates and you have yourself one beautiful table! Picture perfect for you

Do not underestimate the power of a big bunch of sunflowers, a stack of white plates, a simple table linen and a pretty tray holding some goodies. Case in point is shown here!

For a casual yet beautiful setting, patriotic napkins, wicker chargers, red and white flowers and cute touches like beer in Mason jars are a wonderful way to jazz up a casual summer table, PB

Love the simple idea of gingham napkins with a sprig of rosemary (never underestimate the power of using an herb or greenery as a decorative element)! Mimi Coco Poppy

  5. Outside dining has certainly come a long way from my Grandmother's day of paper plates and sitting on an old log huh? I couldn't believe your tablescape was all plastic and my favorite is the Laguna pattern. We're looking forward to outside dining as soon as the rain stops and it warms up a few degrees.

  115. Provence! Love that immediately. I can't believe those are plastic? They look just like the pottery I see in France, Italy and Portugal.

  121. Tina, I have been eyeing all of the beautiful patterns this spring. I think the one that I like best is the Provence pattern. The glasses are all fabulous too. Thank you for your inspirations. Love your blog.

  122. Yes, this post definitely calls for a pinning frenzy! Such beautiful tablescapes! I have admired your dishes in previous posts, all laid out on that wicker table in that gorgeous porch setting I admire so much! For my house, though, the choice would be Bella Blue! Love the soft French blue and square design of the plate!

  129. Hi Tina! What wonderful inspiration you have over here every time I visit. I would have to say Provence if my favorite pattern! We are currently redoing our backyard and all the furniture and what not will be khaki so Provence would be such a statement maker!

  130. I will take one of each! I use to have a small cafe and we served our lunch menu on an assortment of antique plates. I had savored that idea for years (1973) when I had dreamed of someday having my own restaurant. I love the Provence design although, seriously, it is so hard to choose only one! I'm sure if I won (PLEASe let it be me)I would have to go back and buy more. It's incredible they are not china!!

  135. REFRESHING! This is the first time visiting your blog and shop and I have to say it is absolutely B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L! A feast for the soul! How can one choose just one... So I would say, if I were inviting a few friends over tonight, I would choose Laguna. Thanks! cacis8@rocketmail.com

  136. I love the Laguna as it is really different. Although all of them are just beautiful, I like the Laguna as it's just a wee bit different from the more frequently seen 'Provencal' type patterns - although it was hard to chose! I think with the green 'glass' ware, the Laguna would be a worthy setting to add to your photos!!! All of the tablescapes are just gorgeous!

My pick is the following: Love everything about this from the white ginger jars to the gorgeous peaches and pinks that make this a beautiful summer setting, Barbara and Jo. and I second your comments. Thanks, Deb Paisie
