Good Sunday evening to you. Hope you have had a wonderful weekend, today was a lazy day and boy did it feel gooooood. Long overdue, and so wonderful!
This is a post I "found" in my draft box, one that somehow never got posted!! And there were too many pretty rooms for this to not be shared. In addition, I am offering a handful of wonderful giveaways in celebration of mothers everywhere (we all know by far, the hardest job there is)! All details for giveaway at bottom of this post.
I am having a serious green crush lately. I mean I have always loved green, but I am loving it on a whole new level now. I was at someones house as a guest and have to say I fell head over heels over a dark green paneled library she had. If I had known her for more than four hours I would have certainly asked to take a picture! It got me thinking about how fabulous (and sometimes underrated green rooms are)
And not just your light and soft greens, but GREENS. That means those stunning rich mossy, forest, dark, jade greens. If you are gonna do it..might as well go all the way right? I have visions of moss green velvet in my library, with acres of green bullion fringe adorning them. Then I see a leopard ottoman somewhere in the mix, get the picture? So today's post is paying homage to all things beautifully green. What do you think? Here's a look at all the many shades of green, all so very beautiful.......
This is one of my favorite colors of green, a beautiful moss green....gorgeous! Traditional Home
Love the rich green paint here, looks like its painted over beadboard, makes it feel warm and cozy with all the paintings, Celerie Kemble
Mary McDonald transformed this space into the ultimate girly girls dressing room.....in all its green glory!

After viewing your online shop......I think the entire store is something I would buy! I really enjoyed all the blue and white. Way to many favorites to name only one. I love them all!!,

Hi Tina, what a gorgeous post! I love green but only have it in a small powder room (a beautiful green toile paper) with white and green marble floor. After seeing this post I really am itching to do a room in green. So many good ideas here, thank you.
ReplyDeleteI love honestly every single item in your store and could pick something blindfolded and be happy but given a choice, I would love a pair of the deep cut bell jars for my kitchen island or a dough bowl or a set of the new melamine. Just as soon as we are settled (just moved a few months ago) I will be placing my next order. Love your shop and blog!
PS Love the giveaways that clutch is darling.

I love the pewter napkin rings, any one of them. And, Oh. those silver plate chargers. Just to die for. Hope my children are reading this!
Always love to read your blog. I can only dream, but that's what dreams are made of.
Thank you Tina, Faith B.

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful! I'd love a pair of SP11s, the egg & dart planters are so perfect for my front stone steps. They'd make my green door and shutters seem more elegant than they currently look thats for sure. I'm also keen on the candles in the pretty glass vases.
ReplyDeleteTina, nice to see you on a Sunday evening! I hope that you did a little relaxing and reading during your "me time" weekend.
ReplyDeleteI cannot pick one favorite of these stunning images! They are all so unique and beautiful, there is so much to see in each one I have to go back and look again!

ReplyDeleteJust finished painting my dining room BM "Georgian Green" and I love it with my Baker dining room suite! Tina it's hard to pick an item since I like everything...I do love those Crystal cloches, the stautory (love the dog that I purchased for my daughter) especially the urns and the cherub planters... Happy Mother's Day and thanks for the giveaways opportunity.
ReplyDeleteReally? A favorite....I know you must be kidding! I lust crush for so many things in your shop (after dreaming of winning the lottery to have a house built like yours...) but back to business. AP54 jar is a stunner, of course the blue and white is a given, but it's unique so not quite as familiar as others I have or want. A pair of these "antiqued" beauties would make my day! Now if you can just teach our golden how to shop on line, that would be a great Mother's Day surprise from our furry son! Awesome Everything ~ love the shop, the blog....all of it.
ReplyDeleteI love the cherub statue - it would be so sweet in my garden, or my living room.
ReplyDeleteThe greens you've shown are gorgeous - so many shades - it's hard to pick a favourite. I do like the silvery celadon and fresh crisp apple, oh and the fern greens!
For once…I was ahead of the times! My dining room is a lucious green! I don't even know what color to say it is…some fabulous painters from Fairhope, Al painted and glazed it ….my decorator had them do it…the curtains are a dark green silk with fabulous trim…I truly love it and have had it for about 6 years now! I re-did our sunroom two years ago and it's all in shades of green…to bring the outside in…so to speak! The small sofa in our family room is a rich green velvet and we have loved it for about two years as well! Anyway, as for the give away…my favorite thing is the small clutch you also showed in this purse! It's fabulous! I hope you have a wonderful week and a very special mother's day!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina!
ReplyDeleteI just love the porcelain large planter with all the darling adorning it.

Dear Tina, I can't think of a better time to have such a generous giveaway - for Mother's Day! You will be hearing from me as soon as you get your order of ornate chargers. I also love your new hexagon blue and white jar - hope to see them in your store soon. Loving it all, Joan
ReplyDeleteI've been busy for the last 9 months working on my daughter's wedding plans (May 18!). Her colors are shades of natural greens (as in succulents) and cream, and white flowers. Peonies, french roses, hydrangeas in creams and whites. So of course my eyes go straight to green and whites now! My home however is all off white and what else? Blue!!
ReplyDeleteI'm a sucker for lamps. I've had up to 8 lamps in my kitchen at one time, so I have to choose the little lamp that looks like a covered jar as my favorite. I have just the spot for that one on a pine cupboard.
Love your posts, Happy Mother's Day!!
I would love to have the three initial sterling silver pendant!! I love it!
ReplyDeleteTank you,
Dana Munoz

ReplyDeleteYour online shop offers some of my favorite items with the gardenia scented candles being the one that I would most love to have. Thanks for being an inspiration to me everyday.
Mmmmm. I have been in love with green since my first apartment -- an efficiency in Washington -- many years ago. It wasn't terribly easy to find green then, but I managed to find a green & pink shower curtain...so pretty! And my living room/dining area was decorated in hunter green and white, with hunt scene prints. I bought my first watercolor painting (I paid the artist $10 a month until paid). Now I love blue & white, but always with green. I grew up with a mother who loved green too. With the assistance of a designer, her color scheme was apple green and plum...really kind of chic in its day. Marilyn in Mt. Vernon, VA foxfemme1@yahoo.com
ReplyDeletep.s. Absolutely anything from your shop would be amazing. Marilyn from Mt. Vernon, VA.

For mothers day, your imperial antique soup tureen would be a lovely gift.
ReplyDeleteBut in real life just seeing my children and grand daughter is what I really enjoy.
Happy mothers day Tina.
I love the birds and butterflies porcelain planter with ormolu handles (I have a thing for bird motifs) . I adore green, I work in a beautiful Spa which is decorated to look like a gorgeous lake house and one of the doors is painted a stunning gray-green. I decided I wanted to paint my bathroom that color and I nagged the poor maintenance manager until he dug out the plans from the attic and found the color for me. It was Sherwin Williams April Showers and it's beautiful, I 'm so glad I found the color (although I don't think the maintenance manager is too thrilled with me ;) What we do for the right paint color though! Regards, Jennifer
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love your shop and your blog! So talented! I would love to receive this for Mother's Day....I'd be in 7th heaven!
