Which would you choose? Valentines day edition!

Happy Valentines day! Well in light of the holiday of love, this is a Valentines day edition of my weekly Which would you choose. So, here is my little scenario...... your significant other has decided to surprise you and whisk you off to your absolute most favorite restaurant in the world. It can be anywhere, no worries..the "travel fairies" have it all arranged! So go for it, and make it something goooood!

You get to be wined and dined all night long by the person you love (does it get any better)  but there's one detail missing.....the dress! Always about the dress. So here are your choices.....all in various shades of love (red and pink with a few blacks thrown in for good measure). Take a close look and which one most says "Be my valentine"? Can't wait to hear.....

Ahhh so many beauties, I would wear any one of them.  So tell me which you would choose! Do you like dressing up going all out or do you prefer a casual night to kick back? We have a long standing tradition with one of my best friends and her husband, we go out to a favorite restaurant to celebrate every year and have been doing it for years...always look forward to a night of friendship, love and laughter! So tell me, what are you doing on this day of love?

PS Want to know what I am giving myself for this special day? Besides the small box of hand dipped chocolates I treat myself to every Valentines day. Well I always wanted to try this and lately am really into skincare, so bit the bullet and finally indulged in the award winning cream to the stars, La Prarie's famed Caviar cream. Yes its expensive, but hopefully worth it. As I have heard repeated, "never ever go cheap on your face". Right on. Will let you know how my face likes it:)

  1. So many beautiful dresses, but the one I kept going back to was #14! Surprising, as I don't usually gravitate toward prints. hmmmmm
Keep us posted on the new face cream!
    Happy Valentine's Day

  2. I love so many but 1 and 15 are just incredible. I would feel like a princess in either one. I love the "never go cheap on your face" saying, how true! Happy Valentines day to you.

  3. I'm totally torn! I know what works with my body shape, so I could pick based on this - BUT, it's a dream right, so I'll say what I wish I could pull off - Choice 13! Happy Valentine's Day, Tina - so enjoy your blog. Hope you have a marvelous day! M.

  4. Happy Valentine's Day, Tina! I'm loving 14 and 15! Hope your day is filled to the brim with love! xo

  5. Choice #1 all the way!! That is my kind of dress.

I use the "low budget" Mario Badescu Caviar Night Cream and absolutely love it, but I splurged on the Fresh Rose Face Mask as a V-Day treat for myself :)

    Happy Love Day!

  6. Tina as always way too many here that I love to say just one. But I have to say 5, 8, 13 and 14 all are just gorgeous. We are off to my best friends house for her annual Valentines day dinner, its always so much fun because she is a professional party planner so you can imagine that she always does something amazing. Hope you enjoy yours.

  7. Happy Valentine's Day Tina!! You are so much fun! Love it when we can dream a little. Love the dresses you have chosen for us to choose....you have exceptionally good taste. My favourite is #1 Marchesa but would take #6 Valentino or #11 Lela Rose too. Have a great time tonight with your sweetheart!

  8. Tina, I don't think
    that YOU go cheap
    on anything, my friend!

    I would choose the Missoni
as I think it would be the
    most comfortable.....not
too short, a knit, no need
    for a strapless bra. And
    luckily, I have worked to
    keep my arms in pretty
    good shape, so no worries
    there : )

    I'm wondering which you
    would choose, if forced to
    pick only one??

    Love and a happy, happy
    Valentine's Day to one
    of the sweetest bloggers
    that I know!

    xo Suzanne

  11. 1, 4, or 6 for me! It's a tough choice. But excuse me while I go pull on some jeans and a red knit top and head off to work for a few hours before partying with my favorite 1st and 3rd graders. That's my reality and I wouldn't trade it for all the party dresses in the world! Jana

  12. Humm..not easy. What I love and what look best on me are two different dresses. i love 1, 4 and 13. What would look best is 12 and 14 (sleeves)! Fun, happy V day!

  13. Tina,

    I would pick # 14. Love it.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Love ETRO, even if it seems a dress of S/S collection

    ReplyDelete
  15. I love #1 (Marchesa) for the cut, fabric and color ... it just says "Valentine" to me though you could always wear it to weddings, parties, etc. too. I also like #11 (Lela Rose) as it is so classic and glamorous.

    ReplyDelete
  16. # 1 is drop dead gorgeous! # 9 too.

    ReplyDelete
  17. #13 makes my heart sing...love the color, fabric, style...yum!!! Hoping the "travel fairies" will be dropping us off in Paris!

    ReplyDelete
  18. I like # 10....so pretty. Lets us know what you think about the skin cream..

  19. #7 with tan, gold jewelry and boarding a plane to a sunny Caribbean island please!

  20. Oh Goodness,
I would choose Valentino! A touch of blush & innocence in its overall tone appointed with a lace bodice! Perfect length to show lovely legs & "show stopper" shoes with a touch of black Paton leather..young, playful & elegant.
A touch of Illie Saab for the essence & I think stepping into this moment would feel totally right!

Feeling the dream & the moment!

  21. 6,11or 15!
    One can only dream;)

  22. Numbers 11 and 5 and body makeover too please! Number 14 looks comfy and fun!

  23. Finally, one that was (relatively) easy! I went for the Valentino, hands down my favorite. It is actually a dress I pinned on one of my What Kate Wore boards, people went nuts for it, it is such a gorgeous dress. Happy Valentine's Day Tina!

  24. I think if I went out for dinner on Valentine's and wore something red I'd feel like a kid in school. So although I love red - too obvious. SO - my first pick would be the Etro - what a fabulous soft print. My second choice would be Lela Rose.
And I would buy the L'wren Scott to wear at another time - the dress has great lines.

    Happy Valentine's Day.

  25. I might have to try that cream too. I am starting Obagi NuDerm again. I hate it because it makes me peel like crazy, but they say it's worth it. I didn't pay a ton of attention the first time I did it a few years ago (stupid) but O think it evened out my tone. Anyway, I love dress 4!

  26. Dress #10 is the one for me. Love the colour and the way it wraps around the body, framing the face and upper chest. Beautiful!
    Happy Valentine's Day.

  27. No. 3 (but with the Valentino shoes!)! You know my style - classy, simple with a little bit of a modern twist! The question is - which one of all these fab dresses will YOU pick?!

Yes, please do tell if the creme works! I can need some help in that department...

Happy Valentine's to you beautiful Tina. You are adored by zillions!

  28. No 6 is so pretty and feminine but I also love no 14 which is a bit different from the norm. Happy Valentine to you! x Sharon

  29. I love the Lela Rose outfit the most, #11, but I would prefer wearing red or hot pink with black, I think. Hope you love the LaPrairie. If you need something heavier get Revlon's Eterna 27, believe me, it works bigtime...and it's so inexpensive. Don't ask why. I have dry skin and overnight I can see the difference if I've switched to something else for awhile. And, I've had everything at least once. Happy Valentine's Day, precious Tina.

  30. i love alot of these dresses, but i would 100% chose the last dress #15!! it is so me and so girly and feminine! :)

  32. Seriously love them all, but for V-day and the most instant appeal I'm going #1.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Ahhh I'll take the Marchesa, Valentino and JWu please!!!! Gorgeous dresses. xo

    ReplyDelete
  34. It's a very tough choice! All the dresses are gorgeous. But, since its The Day of Love, I'll choose either 6 or 9. I love a red dress.

    Blessings,

  35. Such hard choices - there all so pretty! My absolute favorites are 15, 12, 4, then all others (1, 2, 7, 8, 11, 13) except I don't particulary care for 14, 10, 9, 6, 5, 3 because of fabric or style.

    Happy Valentine's day!

    ReplyDelete
  36. Number 3 for me since it's Valentine's but then again since we are going to the south of France number 9 would work beautifully too!

    Happy Valentine's Day Tina!

  37. Choice 9 as we are sitting at a table and it has such a lovely elegant neckline.
Choice 11 is my second choice as it is all over lovely. I would have gone for 10 but I don't like that funny sleeve thing. It looks like something has slipped! Stunning colour though and beautiful neckline.
All the rest are too SHORT. Only stunning knees can wear these and there are very few of them about. Most skinny legged women have horrible knobbly knees, and for those , like me, with fat thighs and knees it is just a total NO NO!
Happy Valentine's Day. I made a special dinner at home starting with a long cold lychee mocktail on the porch (Summer here) followed by smoked salmon and tzatziki nibbles with little cucumber hearts to have with our martinis.
Dinner was quails in a fig and grape sauce with soft polenta and snap peas. Dessert was mango and sago pudding set in a heart shaped mold.

  38. sexy number SIX. and surprising myself with this one since i own nothing red. hmmmmm.

i will be watching my husband bowl with his league tonight. i am not even kidding. no this is not typical. i love him so much that i'd go wherever he wants to take me. we will spend the day celebrating tomorrow so i guess we are snubbing our noses at vday this year!

    love to you, pretty lady.

  39. Well if I had the body I wanted…definitely the Lanvin. But since I don't I'll take the Jason Wu.
Mr. V and I are going out this weekend with another couple and tonight we are eating dinner with our Valentine..the Beans.
Hope you have a happy night!

  44. Thanks for your sweet comment today!! Clearly I love Valentine's Day, and you have made me pretty much obsessed with option #1--wish I could be wearing that tonight!

  45. Hey Tina, great dresses and my favorite is 13 by Lanvin.
Tried that skin caviar and it is beautiful ... You will like it(:
    Hugs z

  46. I just love the Valentino dress (#15) but I think my better half would rather see me in the sexy Lanvin dress (#13)and...I'd love to be whisked away to Paris for dinner at Le Meurice, my favourite!
As for the face moisturizer...I have it and I LOVE it...I think you will too!
I also have been using Avibon, which is the French version of Retin A. I practically bathe in it. It has the consistency of,well;t, of vaseline~but it imparts such a lovely dewy finish to my skin. I think you may like it as well!
Happy Valentine's Day, and thanks for your entertaining posts!

I hope those chocolates were as good as they sounded... :) xv

  48. Tina-
I hope that you had a wonderful Valentine's Day!
    Looking forward to your review.
    I would choose 10.

  49. Hi..Marchesa and Lanvin for me, that is if I can afford it..Have a great day...

  50. Definitely #4 for me. I'm more of a casual type of gal. Somehow really dressing up for formal things feels like pressure to me and if it's uncomfortable forget it. I wasn't like that when I was younger though. Let us know what you think of the skin cream. I've heard great things. I went and got Aquaphor yesterday after reading your post. xo

  51. i will take no. 7 please! oh and as long as we are having fun, could we have a more subdued color? that classic wrap dress is so flattering and allows for a little extra chocolate!

thrilled to hear you have taken the plunge tina, we know we will get an honest assessment on THE skin caviar.
    love to you!

  52. Either the Marchesa or the Valentino! I don't think any of the other dresses can compare!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Oh baby....number 2! Although that last one stopped me for a minute! I have to admit that I am more of a jeans and t shirt kind of girl :)
