Hi there, hope you had a wonderful weekend. Thanks to all the comments and inquires about the linens and pewter napkin rings for my Brimfield trip post. Click here if you missed it. I will update you on availability later this week.
I think we are due for a Which would you choose, what do you say? You know at times I like to deviate from interiors and homes design and get into fashion and with fall and winter dressing at our doorstep, its safe to say you might see a little more of it than unusual. Plus it is fashion week so this is really appropriate! I get majorly inspired by the seasons rich textural fabrics, layering options and glamorous gowns. And though I personally am not a big goer of big galas I cannot help but think of it as "big time" gala season. Ever see a dress that makes your heart beat faster, inspires you to want to instantly go on a crash diet, and makes you weak at the knees all at the same time?
Well that's what happened when I spotted a gorgeous with a capital G dress by Zuhair Murad. I flipped, I drooled, I fantasized and I visualized. His creations are nothing short of fairytale like concoctions. Some of you fashionistas may know of him as he has dressed many a celeb, to others he is a new name. Either way, his dresses are dreamy and delicious. So....here we go with my little scenario, you are invited to a big time party, go ahead...make it as glamorous as you want, and you can fill in the details (you are 20 pounds lighter, no wrinkles, everyone in the room is hideously ugly and you are the belle of the ball, you are the guest of honor, etc....go for it). So to this fancy soiree you need a dress. The dress. You know the drill......which would you choose?? Feast your eyes on these..........

Do these have you drooling? Yes, they are very special very dressy fairytale/goddess kind of dresses, not what you are wearing to your average party, but its fun to dream, right! So...which is it? Was there one that screamed out to you? Did I mention the best part.....the toned arms, svelte waistlines, giraffe like long legs and perfect shoulders are all included!! So tell me which will it be..........I have it narrowed down to three. I will tell you my top picks on my random musings post later in the week, now its your turn to talk!
I think I would like to try and pull of #9 or #13. Notice my use of the word "try". Its a new name to me but love the work. Hope you have a great Monday! - Tonya
ReplyDeleteI usually go for black, but I will have to go with 4 this time. LOVE it!
ReplyDeleteGlad that you had a great week and that all is well with you, Tina.
Happy Monday.

These are AMAZING!!!!!!! I do recognize the name, he dresses a lot of Hollywood during awards season. I would have to go wtih 8, 10 or 12 though they are all just amazing works of art. I love that you threw in the perfect bodies!
ReplyDeleteLove everything about #4
ReplyDeleteDream dresses is an understatment, one is as pretty as the next. 3, 5 or 8 will do just fine. Love them all!
ReplyDeleteHard to choose, but I would go for 1, 9, or 10! Fun post!
ReplyDeleteJust when I think "this is the one", I keep scrolling and keep changing my mine. I would take any of these - they are STUNNING!! I am going to have to go with #11! So different ... I think I would feel like Halle Berry!
ReplyDeleteIt's Number 6 for me.
ReplyDeleteHmm.. Lots of lovely ones. Definitely would say NO to #1 -- unless I was Cher. I think I'd pick #7. It looks very elegant to me.
ReplyDeleteToo many great ones to say just one, but I am inclined to go with either 1 or 14. Both showstoppers!
ReplyDeleteLove when you break it up with fashion posts, its fun to see your taste in all matters, and as usual it doesn't disappoint.
Gorgeous! It would be between 4 and 8 for me!!!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely, #10
ReplyDeleteOkay...since you are giving us the LONG and LEAN body to go with the dresses...I would choose 5 or 8. Both classy, sexy and gorgeous!!! Have a GREAT week Tina and thank you for your kind words. I hope you'll listen tonight if you have a chance.

8, 10 or 4 please but would happily take any. He is a GENIUS!
ReplyDeleteI'd like each of them for various events! I love #4 the best though...
ReplyDeleteGorgeousness! 2 for me, please. Nothing like red to make a statement. Number 12 is gorgeous, too. Perhaps a gown change in the middle of the party? Happy Monday, Tina! XO
ReplyDeleteWow...loving them all, but 3 and 10 are GORGEOUS...body included I hope...Wishing you a great start to your week!
ReplyDeleteKeep meaning to tell you how much I love your new header, but keep forgetting...it's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAll of NYFW has me drooling, are you kidding? These just made it worse! I am a big Murad fan. If not totally inappropriate, I might go for the short dress, #13. I adore the detail, the silhouette is one of my faves, I really like it.
ReplyDeleteSending you a smile for the week ahead!

Usually your "Which would you choose" is so hard to pick just one....but this is soooo easy!!!! ALL OF THEM!!!!! That's right.....I would love to wear each and every one of them!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun game and oh how I wish I could pull off wearing any of these gorgeous gowns. I thought #1 was KILLER until I saw #9. If I had to choose just one it would be #9, that is a knock out gown. I do go to many gala events in our area and often see just such beautiful gowns but I always opt for soemthing more subdued.

All so beautiful, now for the occasion. Top picks #9 and #13. Love them.
ReplyDelete6! No question!
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be #10...All of these dresses are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOnly one? My first pick would be number 4 - because it is a stand-out piece. But I wouldn't leave the salon without number 9 or 12.
ReplyDelete#6--after the diet and breast implants.
ReplyDeleteSo many gorgeous pieces, I found it easier to go by process of elimination...then I knew which I preferred for artistic value...then I landed on my favorite two...and ultimately my personal favorite that I'd actually wear...so...SECOND CHOICE 4...FIRST CHOICE 15.
ReplyDeleteNumber 2...absolutely
ReplyDeleteFirst choice would be #4!! Gorgeous in every way.. the fabric, the color, and really enhances the silhouette. Number six is also very pretty! Great options Tina!
ReplyDeleteI have to go with #10. Always such fun!
ReplyDeleteNINE ~ TEN and FOURTEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI choose 2, 4, 6, 8, and 9. Because, if we are living in a fantasy world I will have plenty of money to purchase all these glorious creations and numerous occasions at which to wear them!
ReplyDeleteAll are GREAT options! I would feel like Cinderella in #10!
ReplyDeleteSo hard to pick one! I would go with either 8 or 4.

Tina,
ReplyDeleteHello! Happy Monday! Everything looks so FABULOUS! I am torn, but I think my absolute favorite is #13~sophisticated, and stylish but not over the top.
I hope you had a great weekend!
BTY, the scones were scrumptious!

Thank you for posing the question:)
ReplyDeleteI would choose dresses #3 & #7...Then ask my husband of 43 years which dress he liked best:)
Blessings on your day everyone!
Dolley
fun...as i sit here in my p.j's...it is either 9 or 13...do i send my address to you for delivery?
ReplyDeletebv
#7 is totally my style!!!
ReplyDeleteI would have to go to 4 parties. My choices, not necessarily in this order, are #4, #6,#9 and #12. All are beautiful with the exception of the red gown. The material would not be flattering on a real person...would reveal every imperfection.
ReplyDeleteOh dear Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous dresses!!! My choice is dress n°9!!!
Have a great week my friend!
xx

ooooh i think #5 perhaps. after tailoring (since i am half the height of these supermodels) i could use all the excess fabric as a chic window covering.
ReplyDeletei am with you about avoiding the crowds, the excess. intimate suits me far better.
smiles to you.

#2. If I could wear a dress like that, and had anywhere to wear it (!) it would be fire engine red :)
ReplyDeleteStacy
Well, for me #9 is tops, but I could also go for #10 with some mighty big sparkling chandelier earrings.
ReplyDeleteVioletta & I are doing a style post Wednesday, showing different aspects between European & American dressing. Love you !!!
I love #11, but also the black lace dresses. So many lovely choices, I'd actually choose them all!
ReplyDeleteNumber 5 if you please....and when I click the comments button the first time the computer immediately jumped back to #5!oooOOOOoooo
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...hard to decide !I have to go with #4 ...love the lavender, and the criss-cross of the material...very slimming !
ReplyDeleteThat yellow dress is dreamy!
ReplyDeleteSO many heavenly gowns!!!!!!! I love number 1 and that yellow one. ALL of these are sooooo gorge!!! Thanks for the dress porn! xoxo
ReplyDeleteI'm in love with #4.
ReplyDeleteLove # 4, 10, 13 and 15! Especially like that 15 isn't sleeveless!
ReplyDeleteThey are ALL so very beautiful. What works of art and what talent he is! I love 1 and 2, 4, 8 and 14. So sorry I know you like us to choose one but its absolutely impossible! They are all really special.
ReplyDeleteNumber 9 hands down!
ReplyDeleteI think it would be easier to pick which one I WOULDN'T choose! They're all gougeous!
ReplyDeleteI must say sitting here and looking at these lovely dresses brought some favorite memories back to me - going with my 2 daughters to find prom dresses and then when they were older their wedding dresses. Thank you that they had good taste - a little like Audrey Hepburn. Lots of sytle and simple elegance. I see that in these lovely gowns. I love #13, but ALL are very pretty. Thank you for the fantasy on a Monday evening.
ReplyDeleteTina so many gorgeous choices...I would choose #4; adore that luscious lavender and the lines of the gown!

#1! Without a doubt!
ReplyDeleteNumber 9 for me......
ReplyDeleteI love 8 and 1! Wow! They are all beautiful! You made it hard to decide!
ReplyDelete#s 8 and 10 - both work for me!! : )
ReplyDeleteI can't play this game - my eyes are still watering from the sheer beauty of these creations - couldn't possibly choose, I want them all. GLorious!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, if I had the body of the models, I'd go with 2 or 4 or 11. I've never considered a dress like any of these because I don't in fact have the model's body. I literally have never fantasized about wearing one of these dresses! That's kind of pitiful. I definitely look like I'm a romantic with these choices.. kind of surprised myself!
ReplyDeleteFun,
jan
10....Oh yeah!
ReplyDelete3,7,15 (my choice but probably not husband's!) All divine. Thanks for the beauty :-)
ReplyDelete#3, #15, #5. in that order. LOVE the blush colors and designs! All exquisite, but those would be my picks!
ReplyDeletePatty
I have to choose number ONE! THE COLOR, THE COLOR!!! Oh Tina, you always have the best choices! HAPPY TUESDAY DEAR! Anita
ReplyDeleteChoice #5 for me. Very romantic and feminine. LOVE it! I'm cracking up at your suggestion that everyone in the room is hideously ugly. HA HA HA! Aren't we always the belle of the ball though? Hee hee.
ReplyDeleteHope your son has a very Happy Birthday. I am sure you are whipping up some kind of fabulous feast to celebrate. Hope the year is full of wonderful adventures for him!!
Have a terrific day, Tina! xo
Choice 12 - hands down!
