Great post T! I love a gorgeous library too! Books really look good in any room :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats to all winners, wish I was one but maybe next time! I was really hoping for that gorgeous rug!
ReplyDeleteLove these libraries, really like the first one becuase its a light feeling room but still has the function of a library, I tend to prefer light and airy interiors over stuffy and dark ones, and that one is just about perfect.
I would love to have a room dedicated to books like any of these! Congrats on that response to your fabulous giveaway too!! You rock!
ReplyDeleteTina thank you so much for featuring my friend Teresa!! I love libraries, and the look of hanging art on the space is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all of the winners of your great Anniversary Giveaway!
I hope you will come to enter my Giveaway from Serena & Lily!

ReplyDeleteI love this post! Such great design inspiration and so topical for me as I am working on a library right now and plan on "borrowing" a few of your photos! Happy New Year to Teresa and Tina--all good things for the New Year!
ReplyDeleteThat fourth image with that table and chair is fabulous! Love anywhere there is books!
ReplyDeleteTeresa get around! So nice to see you here today. Lovely libraries and books. Congrats to the lucky winners.
ReplyDeleteDarn! I didn't win but sounds like the competition was fierce. :) What a lovely post - she found some of the classiest libraries I have ever seen! Beautiful...
ReplyDeleteTina thank you so much for "Very cute tribute to what seems like a great kid...love his name he is adorable! Happy birthday!". made me smile on a day filled with both good & bad.
ReplyDeleteYep you saw me upside down, I feel that way about half the time:)
~libraries~ are my fav. all time forever rooms. I love looking a kitchens, cooking nope (too many yrs under my belt)
Libraries & bedrooms are a few more elixirs in my life. Think you can read in both & get all snugly(did last night with daughter before she heads to NYC for theatre & SHOPPING, ha. Annie & her BF are carrying on our family "tradition") ..........love those things! Adore you blog, one of the few I follow.
Really inspiring post!
ReplyDeleteYay!! I won something!! Woohoo! Thank you so much!! You can email me at ask.fashionisha@gmail.com and I'll give you my address!
ReplyDeleteLove this post...I was just thinking, so many people made reading more books their New Year's resolution and this post is so perfect to inspire!

I really love libraries too. We have plans for our own but they are in need of execution, easier said than done. They are just so calm and peaceful looking.
ReplyDeleteOh, how thrilling to see myself listed as a winner! Now that's a great way to start the day! Thanks Tina. And I love Teresa's bookish post. I'm and avid reader and believe you can't have too many books in a home. These are such beautiful spaces to keep them in!
ReplyDeleteHappy Moving, Tina!
Unbelievable libraries, one and all. Great post! I'm so glad Teresa was here - I love her blog, too
ReplyDeleteStayc
So many beautiful libraries! I am going to file some of these away, because a built in bookshelf in our office is a plan for the future, and I am always looking for inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect post - you girls rock!
ReplyDeleteI have a music room that has been 'pinpointed' for probably "mmmmm" years to install library shelving and get all my beautiful books out of boxes... I LOVE this inspirational post - think I should put this on my Resolution List for 2012! (is it too late?)

Congratulations to the winners! Love Teresa's post, we are both book fanatics, having a separate library would be a dream come true.
ReplyDeleteBelated Happy Blog Birthday Tina, that is a bunch of posts, all of them delightful.
How fun...I love libraries. There are some here I've never seen before. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteKaren
I just can't wait to see the move in
ReplyDeleteHi Teresa,
ReplyDeletelove home libraries too...and these are truly inspiring images...
wishing Tina a smooth going moving day...
best,
maureen
Congrats to the lucky winners.
ReplyDeleteI love the look and feel of libraries and wonder if they will still be around with the loss of so many book stores.
What I love most about these is that there is not a predicatble red mahogany one in the bunch, a nice surprise. I love the lighter fresher feeling libraries and the one that doubles as a dining room is such an incredible room.
ReplyDeleteTina, thanks for always giving me something to ooh and aah over. You never disappoint! Give me room with a lot of books and I am one happy gal.
Oh wow, you have such a lovely blog.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous images.
Have a great day.
xx

Congrats to all of the winners! Teresa certainly delivered a beautiful post. I wish I had a library in my own home, but sadly, no room for one. Ah, it's good to dream! xo
ReplyDeleteHi Tina- happy for your winners but was so hoping to win that beautiful rug, haha.
ReplyDeleteLove these libraries, we bought a new house that had a library and we just stipped the color, it was a very dark red which to me appeared very dated, against my husbands wishes, I painted it a dark sand/taupe color and we are BOTH in love with it. Its rich, masculine but still not too heavy. You cannot imagine how many compliments I get on this one room. It is my favorite room in my entire house and everynight after dinner I head in there (alone) with a cup of tea and a book and have one hour all to myself, its bliss.
Love your blog so much. Thank you for always giving such amazing eye candy and happy to meet your guest blogger too.
Finally moving in!!! Wooohooo! Congratulations!! Cannot wait to see updates. We just moved into our new build - forced our way past builders 2 weeks before my 3rd baby born. I was SO relieved to be in - have definitely been sharing your build pain! Congratulations again!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful post and I'm so dreaming of a space of my own lined with books! Teresa has a great blog and one of my favorite reads.
ReplyDeletexxoo
Some of the most beautiful libraries I've ever seen!

Those are some beautiful libraries! You can count on Teresa to give us lot's of eye candy!!!
ReplyDeleteHave only been coming to your blog for about a month now after a colleague recommended me, but I am hooked. Your posts are so great, informative, interesting and beautiful. Love this, I got some great ideas even for my teeny tiny library in Chicago. Thanks and happy new year to you and good luck with your move! I cannot wait to see your house really come to life once you are living there, what fun that will be!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos of libraries. My dream home will have a library. I love books. I really like the built in shelves along the walls in these photos.
ReplyDeleteI just had the shock of my life when I saw my name as the rug winner. I have never won anything in my entire life!! What do I do next?! morckie@aol.com
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to all the winners. I am sure they will each be delighted!!! I was thinking of you and wondering how our move might be going. Hope all is well.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the update tomorrow! Thank you, Tina, for having me as your guest, and thank our friends for such nice comments.

These are gorgeous libraries, Teresa and there is nothing I love more. The one that goes wall to wall in the dining room is fabulous!! Hope you are both having a great day ~
ReplyDeleteThank you for your sweet comment after visiting Vmac+cheese, Tina! So happy to have "met" you now as well! Your blog is beautiful and I'm happy to be following :)
ReplyDeleteI love this post as well! Teresa is one of my favorite bloggers; she has the best eye for design and her posts are always so gorgeous. These libraries are perfection!

Tina, what a wonderful problem to have--400+ readers!! Congrats for the well-deserved success and thanks to Teresa for a great guest posting.
ReplyDelete2 wonderful friends rolled into 1 post.... i am late to the party... boo... i will have to enter next time... and great post teresa... happy new year to each of you!!! xo
ReplyDeleteYes, Teresa delivers! OH MY, one library is more gorgeous than the other!
ReplyDeleteMy own dining room is a combined library and formal dining area. There is something sexy about books and candlelight.
Very nicely put together Teresa! 5 stars.
Hugs to you both!

Hello Tina,
ReplyDeleteI hope that the move is going well, I am sure that even though there is a little stress that the excitement and happiness of moving into your beautiful dream makes it worth it.
I love your guest post! I will have to go over and check out this blog. Congratulations on the 1 year blog anniversary! So very exciting.
Thank you for your get well comments the last few days, I think that I am like Anita at Castles, Crowns and Cottages, one step forward, and a few back. Of course it does not help that everyone here is under the weather.
I am sure that I will be back to myself next week, I am just going to take it easy.
Take care my friend, thinking about you and wishing you the best for the move. Stay warm and safe.
Elizabeth
Great post. I am now trying to think of ways to display books in my house, although the space is limited.
ReplyDeleteInterestingly, a lot of the libraries have herringbone flooring. So does Tina's. It's just gorgeous, I love it!
I love Teresa and this is a fabulous post. I'm saving half of the images...Wonderful library inspiration!
ReplyDeleteThose are great prizes.
