Good morning everyone! I am over the moon to present this guest post with one of my absolute favorite blogs and two of my favorite bloggers, Mona and "Sister" (her real name is Talena but shes affectionately referred to as Sister) from Providence. Where to begin? Well for starters, they are business partners and sisters in their design firm and plain and simple have superb taste with a capital S. This talented pair of established and sought after designers, Mona and Sister love traditional design with a European influence. They have published work of a high caliber and when you see their work you will totally understand. They reside and practice in central Arkansas but in addition to their interior design business they also offer online design services as well, if you are interested in taking a look at their portfolio, click here. It's a royal treat!
I know when I visit their blog I should sit down prepared to take in whatever beauty they have in store that day, but rest assured its always something fabulous! They often generously share their projects on their blog and its always one worth checking out, I just love their asthetic. I was so happy they prepared a guest post to help me out as we continue to settle into the new house but when I laid eyes on what they prepared, I was truly floored, touched and so bowled over! Mona and Sister, thank you so much for this fabulous, major eye candy of a post! For those of you not familiar with the beautiful blog, Providence...you absolutely must stop over, you will thank me! Click here to visit them.
And you just know there is no way in the world that I am letting them get started without "showing off" a little on their behalf. Hey, if you've got it, flaunt it. And these delightful ladies "have it going on" big time. So here is a look at the marvelous Mona and Sister in action!
Mona in action......
And there the two are.....I just had to include this picture, I love it!
We have never met Tina...yet feel like we know her.
She puts so much of herself into her blog. We would all probably be shocked to realize the number of hours she has spent preparing posts and visiting friends...and at the same time she has also been able to create and build one of the most magnificent homes many of us have ever seen...that tells us a lot about her.
She's determined, yet warm and caring. She is meticulous when it comes to detail.. .. a traditionalist at heart but loves glamour. She is well traveled....prefers a classic elegant style. She's very feminine, loyal to her friends and has a good sense of humor. ...
We imagine her as a girlie girl with a lot of spunk and a definite personal style...
She's meticulously planned every single corner of her new home...it's very formal, but still warm. She's created not just a home but a lifestyle for her family and friends to enjoy
We can only imagine, BUT, when we do ... we see her home filled with...
Beautiful fresh flowers everywhere...
Fabulous Mirrors...
The very best in furnishings...Fabulous antiques and crusty old chairs....
Bookshelves filled with interesting antique leather books...Well worn textiles and tapestries...
Old Brass and gorgeous gold gilt...Vintage silver and beautiful china...
Everything personalized and a family crest...
We hope she adds a little whimsy and unexpected... like this fabulous oversized frame...
or beautiful mirror hung on the bookshelves...
There will be lots of parties..both inside and out...
Tina must have a wonderful space for her long hours at the computer where she dazzles us all with the details, and shares her heart and resources with many.
So here's to you Tina...May you, your family, and friends enjoy lots of love and laughter,
delicious meals and deep conversation,
joy and tears that go with both the good times and bad....all those things that give meaning to our lives, in your wonderful new home.
XO, The Sisters!

Ladies, this was just an unbelievably amazing, beautiful, inspirational and touching post because you personalized it to me. My breath is taken away by all the beauty!! Who could ask for anytning more? I haven't stopped blushing since I saw this post....and feel like I am totally flying on a cloud! You sure picked up on some of my favorite things. Love your magnificent eye and refined style. This is incredible. And every single thing is worthy of being in your home. I think they did a beautiful job and how lovely that they dedicated this post to you and your beautiful new home. Just incredible. I am so thrilled to meet another talented blogger I might not have met otherwise. Thank you for letting us know about these wonderful ladies. Hope the move is going well, and wishing you the best, hope you are taking plenty of breaks, VERY important. I know very well how draining (but exciting) that process is. Enjoy it. Off to visit them.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing post! I love how you described Tina and her style and think you did one heck of a job. This post is one of those "weak at the knees" kind of posts that just takes your breath away. You two are GOOD! Thanks to all three of you for this treat to start my day and wishing everyone a wonderful weekend. We are off to take advantage of the snowfall in Canada for a weekend of skiing!
ReplyDeleteSisters did an an amazing post and said exactly what I've thought about Tina...she has beautiful style and she does seem to put so much of herself into her blog, that you do feel like you know her. And as you say, when she is visiting friends...and by that I'm assuming you mean "blog Friends?" --she leaves the most beautiful and thoughtful comments. Her home is magnificent and every corner will be filled with thought...I love how you personalized this post for Tina...right down to the flowers, the family crest and monograms that you know she'll have. I have to go back and look through again...so much to see in this gorgeous post.
