So what does summer mean to you? Who doesn't love the carefree, footloose (sometimes) vibe that comes with it, road trips, travel, fruit stands, trips to the beach, a vineyard excursion, reading by the pool, all these things are exclusive to summer for me and that makes it that much sweeter to enjoy! Wishing you a wonderful and enchanted summer!
The vegetable garden!
ReplyDeleteThose AMAZING popsicals!
The outdoor dinner party!
GORGEOUS inspirational photos.
Despite the freeeeeeezing weather where i am it sure is nice to dream about summer and all that it entails.
What a perfect post! We are enjoying the best of summer in Kentucky right now. Mild temps bring sunny days and cool evenings calling everyone outdoors! Swim teams, tennis teams, little league teams, music festivals, farmer's market, and porch time every evening with the MR.
ReplyDeleteLate at night you can often find me with my bare feet propped up, under a ceiling fan, with my iPad and the latest Veranda listening for the final slap of the screen door signifying that everyone one is home. Ahhh I love summertime.
Congratulations to the lucky winner and thank you again for offering such a great giveaway!

Hello Tina:
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the winner of the bench. It will make a lovely addition to any house.
And, what a delicious summery selection we are offered here. Summer is well underway in Budapest with outdoor cafés all across the city and wall to wall blue skies. Have a Happy Weekend!
Some great images here, but the one that made me smile most was the tennis court outside the shingled house. Looks much like a place on Marthas Vineyard...such a perfect spot for a game!
ReplyDeleteOh my, so much eye candy here! I think summer to me is porch swings (love your choice up there,) produce stands, and sunsets at the beach.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to visit me today. Your house is absolutely gorgeous! It looks a lot like mine, except yours is on major steroids! I will make a beeline back here when we get home next weekend to check out all your old posts. The lights on the front of my house are Savoy House Pompia.
Its brrrr over here in Cape Town, wet and dreary, so loving these pics with the promise of summer, beach parties, walks up Table Montain, Picnics in the Winelands, and endless Braais (BBQ's - almost a national sport over here!) For now is blogland , fires and red wine...

Such lovely images! I love the lonely farm before a rainstorm. I love old barns and see a lot of them out here in the midwest. In fact, one day I'd love to go out and photograph a series of them. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images, as always! I'd like to be a kid again, and sleep in that room with the bunk beds! Love summer... tennis, pooltime, fresh fruit, sunshine... what's not to love? Great post!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful post! Yes, summer is about being outdoors, soaking in the air, cooking fresh grown foods, making memoreis for the kids! We'll be taking a trip to Nova Scotia this summer, so I hope to get my fill of lobster!
ReplyDeleteBest, Vie
We love all of your summer picks. We are getting ready for a family trip to Destin for July 4th. Renee and I are excited to spend time with the kids and enjoy some time together that doesn't involve working. We can't wait!
ReplyDeleteLove everything you showed! But for me it's being lazy and casual at the lake. My little piece of heaven!

Nice post reminding me what I'll be doing when it gets 90 to 100 degrees here. Thankfully no humidity. Beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteMy goal for this summer is to give my kids one like the images here suggest...beach, tennis, long days, nighttime swims, sleepovers etc. I sooooo wish I had that bunk bed room. I'd sleep in it myself! Happy weekend!

Summer has so many fond memories and so many things to look forward to this year. Of course starting things off next month with my trip to Maui with my niece, we also spend a week on the Oregon coast every year in a charming beach town, going to farmers markets, lazy days in the backyard reading, outdoor BBQ's and so much more. Ah, I feel relaxed just thinking about it all!
ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to summer, you hit the mark!!! Such wonderful images to ponder! Love 'em! And congratulations to the winner! What a lovely piece to bring home!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these!
ReplyDeleteTo me summer is farmer's markets, jumping off the dock, kayaking down the river, flip flops, road trips, popsicles, bbq, reading a book in the screened-in porch, and toasting marshmallows. ahhhh....
the smores and the clambake made me too hungry! I'm currently at the beach for the weekend and I love reading on the beach, sitting on the porch, swimming in the pool, shopping, and eating!
ReplyDeleteI am sooo ready for summer too. Beautiful post!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find the pix with the console and seashells. Love it!
xo,
cristin
This post just made my Friday ever-so-much-nicer, what eye candy to gaze upon at the end of a long, stressful week. We'll take any of the beach scenarios, personally I love the shot of the woman with her nose in a book and a big hat, that looks sublime.
ReplyDeleteThe all white bedroom overlooking the sea just takes my breath away, that breeze lifting the curtains, it is the perfect photo. Seriously, just beautiful.
Congratulations to your winner, another great giveaway! Now may your own weekend enjoyment transcend that which you share with us. :)

Going to the Keys for a wedding and July 4th, expecting crazy & HOT! Then to the Bahamas and to meet with a very old and dear friend! Looking forward to walking on the shore, in the sand, in the water, shelling, swimming, reading and kickin' back! Can't wait to see that turquoise H2O!
ReplyDeleteHi Tina, Beautiful Summer inspiration pictures! You are making me homesick for the beach.
ReplyDeletexo,
Sherry
Tina, yes please to all of the above!!! Luckily living in Calif I don't have to go to far to satisfy the summer delights as you have pictured. I think I reallly need to make some smores!!! That is the best pict of a smore I have seen, Kathysue
ReplyDeleteHappy summer to you! Biking along the boardwalk, sunset barbecues, flip flops, to name a few...
ReplyDeleteI was looking forward to winter, but now we are in the midst of it I'm pining for summer and these make it even worse! Thankfully I'm going to the US in a August and can soak it all up then. Gorgeous summery loveliness.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog - looks like you have quite a house project on the go here!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite thing about summer is swimming & kayaking & relaxing at the cottage every weekend. I'm outside from morning till night, and I love every minute of it :-)
Enjoy your weekend :-)
I’m thrilled to be able to get outside and work, love gardening and my bones feel like they’re finally thawing out. I always look forward to going to the farmers market, our fruit trees coming into bloom and grass between my toes, nothing like it. Life always seems a little slower, a little calmer during the summer to me.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to the lucky winner!
Have a fabulous weekend!
Tina
ReplyDeleteAs usual you have captured the epitome of summer with beautiful images. I was swept away with all those lovely places!

*kisses* HH
I love everything about this post!! Summer is my favorite time of year!
ReplyDeleteYou hit every favorite. I want to do Summer with you! Enjoy your weekend. Mona
ReplyDeleteTina,
ReplyDeleteUsually after all the activities calm down such as: several early June B-days, graduations, and Father's Day we look towards summer solstice. Which is just a few days away and beckon all our summer times to play.
All these lovely photos represent summer at it's best and our chance, once again, to create new summer memories with family, friends, and new blog friends too. Fun post perfect as a picture checklist because summer is visual and no words are needed to explain what summer fun, looks, smells and tastes like because we can experience it with our eyes closed.
Bette
Dear, dear Tina! This is SO inspiring! I loooove that Napa Valley picture and yes, for tennis!!! I'm sorry it took me some time to come and visit you. I am so busy at the time and 930 photos from a wedding to edit doesn't make it any easier!!! But know that you are one of my absolute favourite blogs! I love to come here and visit! Hope you have an enchanting weekend! Mine started out perfect yesterday with friends, good food, wine and music... I love Summer!
