I love the foyer with the plaid....just sets the tone for what is sure to be a cozy retreat! My aunt and uncle have a place in Colorado and it was fun to watch her decorate it to fit the surroundings....much different from their primary home. My favorite feature, though, is the front stairway which is literally carved out of a tree trunk....the whole underside is round. I really need to get pictures....it is hard to imagine but pretty impressive.
ReplyDeleteI like this style but I think for only a weekend retreat and to get back to nature, I can imagine lots of winery stops and strolls through the vineyards.

I'm definitely loving the dining room from Elle decor and the canopied bed with the timbers...fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteWow these are just beautiful images. you have captured this feeling well....I personally would be drawn to the first room because its so big and grand but comfy, the living room with the canoe because its so inviting, could see and my book club having a blast..and the room with the bunk beds so my kids could fight over who gets what bunk! Love the colors together that they used. Nicely done.
ReplyDeleteI have always been drawn to this more rustic style, nice choice of photos! The table pictured in the Elle Decor outdoor porch photo is available from Viva Terra and is the same one I included in my post today!

I love the wine cellar!
ReplyDeleteI didnt enter the giveaway because I assumed it's for Americans only. Plus if I won the customs people would make an example of me.
Tina,
ReplyDeleteLove all the wood. This was probably our first idea of a home in the woods before the designs of dream homes became more attainable. With the popular T.V. series "Little House on the Prairie" we started our dream home vision there and with education, innovation, status, style, money and persistence we have made it our own.
With pioneering designs by Ralph Lauren quickly followed by others and now
infused with technology our Home Sweet Home is and can be anywhere.
How sweet it is.

Funny but until our barn renovation the western theme or at least exposed beams have never been my thing but love them now. I think most wood looks best when paired with stone, lots of mixed natural elements. I don’t think I would want the rustic look in my whole home though might be a bit much.
ReplyDeleteThnk you for stopping by my blog to visit!
ReplyDeleteIt took me over an hour to look through this post! So many details! The last one with the view is like HEAVEN!

So many comfortable rooms, but my favorites were the ones by Locati.
ReplyDeleteThinking back over all of your posts so far, my favorites have been the ones about your trip to Paris. With your keen eye for detail, your observations are so interesting. Thank you for sharing with us.
I wouldn't mind having a vacation home with this Wild West theme. Beautiful materials featured in these homes too. XX
ReplyDeleteTina: You know that I am all over this post! My favorites are: The book lined dining room recently featured on the cover of Elle Decor; The fabulous log home that Suzanne Kastler decorated for Sandy Beal; and of course, Ralph Lauren's Colorado home. That guest bedroom is classic! Tina, this is such a diversion from the formal houses that you have been posting lately. Did your recent illness cause "Cabin Fever"?
ReplyDeleteOk any one of those rooms I could put my feet up in and be happier than a pig in mud ha ha!! some had the real WOW!! factor loved seeing them..Love your blog and Welcome to blog land my new found friend..I added you to my follow list..come over and visit me some time..Hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteLove the kitchen by Locati Interiors & the room by Suzanne Kasler. I love the juxtaposition of the crystal chandeliers used with the western decor.
ReplyDeleteI love the kitchens, and the dining room lined with books is fab (that's always been on my dream house list!). I would love the rest for a weekend or a week of skiing, but then I think it would be too much wood for me! But still beautiful shots regardless!
ReplyDeleteThat Locati kitchen is gorgeous!!! And the first picture: living rooom by Locati! Love these images. Thanks for sharing these! XO, Pinky
ReplyDeleteThere are many manufacturers of bunk beds and they used the best furniture for the bunk beds, with this the quality of bunk beds improved, their reputation and demand for the atlantic furniture twin over full bunk bed . so if the manufacturers use the best furniture for their bunk beds then they got allot of benefits.
