Good morning! Hope you had a fabulous weekend. Ours was a lot of fun and busy.... We were invited to a ridiculously gorgeous party, words cannot describe. This was an "A L L O U T", seeing is believing kind of party. It was a white party, where everything from the bars to the 6 foot plus models aka "the servers" were swathed in white, huge 5 foot crystal vases on the tables were filled with a liquid that actually turned color with the beat of the music, there were dancers in white sequins head to toe who entertained us with moves that I thought only performers from Cirque de Soleil could do (who knows given the magnitude of this party, they probably were from Cirque du Soeliel)! The DJ was brought over from Greece, I kid you not...need I say more? It was crazy, amazingly beautiful!
I soooooo wish I had been able to take pics, my phone died and believe me I would have at least snapped a few (inconspicuously of course)! If I come across any, you know I will share! Until my parties last week, I was toying with the idea of having a summer party myself in August, and ironically it was going to be an all white party with a Caribbean/reggae theme( love reggae music) but suddenly I have lost my enthusiasm so maybe a fall party:) Moving along......
I LOVE white. In all its many "shades", from bright crisp white to soft creamy off whites. Summer, spring, fall and winter....white always rocks. But to me, in summer white truly reigns supreme. Is there anything prettier than an all white outfit, a beautiful white room, a patio adorned with white cushions and white flowers, I mean I could go on....but white is just so serene, gorgeous and crisp. Today's post is devoted to all things white, I would love to know if you share the love.
I could be very happy living in an all white world....white bedroom and living room, a white kitchen, outside spaces with accents of white and a closet brimming with crisp white clothes! Practical perhaps not all the time but beautiful...yes indeed! So take a look and let me know what you think!

I would love to have a bedroom in all white but I don't know that it would stay that way long with three messy young kids and 2 hyper dogs! It is so beautiful to look at though I agree. We rented a house in Kiawah a few years ago that was done in light tan and white and it was so beautiful and calming.

ReplyDeleteAll white decor especially for an event, makes the atmosphere romantic and dreamy. The trick to layering in white {or any one colour choice} is to use various textures together, it gives dimension to the look. Tone on tone looks beautiful in white. And of course you have to add some sort of sparkle...... candles, mirror, crystal.... all opulent.
Glad you had such a fun weekend. I love starting the week with such a gorgeous collection of summer whites! I'm with you, I could live in an all white wardrobe all summer long - except today- it's pouring down rain and I would probably end up quite mud spattered! Oh well.

I love all the white too, my porch is being redesign, but I want it to continue to be white, but it's so difficult to find white outdoor furniture, if it's not for the beach. Any ideas. Thanks,

Huge white fan! White blouses and blazers, white nails, and lots of white in my home with pops of color (and I have the two dogs.. so lots of care taken there!) It is so pure and refreshing. I just painted my dining room and living room a beautiful soft white and it makes such a difference, it is like walking into a bright happy space now (used to be taupe). love all the inspiration on this page. Love everything white. With the boys gone, I finally was brave enough last winter to replace all my family room furniture with white slip covers. I forgot to factor in the biggest boy, my husband. We made the first pesto of the season last night. Today I'm washing the covers of the chair he was sitting in. Boys! :)

I love it too Tina and you have inspired me to go for even more white this Summer! I have a very green backyard (surprising I'm sure in Seattle :)) but as I get to know the house and garden as we live here longer, I have been thinking planting all white geraniums and other perennials each Spring would be quite stunning. That's the plan for next Spring! And that party you described, it sounds quite memorable! I think you may have inspired me for a white post of my own - I have been looking for some inspiration lately so thank you!
