Good Thursday morning to you! One of my favorite things, especially this time of year is gardening, watching everything turn from a pale dull brown to a rich vivid green. Of course normally in April, we are getting our gardening gloves out, and hitting our local nurseries on a weekly basis. Don't know about you but over here we are still having winter like weather....mother nature are you listening? Assuming spring really is coming.......is anything more exciting than seeing a simple long stalk start to bloom into something wonderful, floral and fragrant? I think not! I love it and except for the potential poison ivy risk (for those of use who are allergic like me), nothing can keep me away.
I have a particular obsession with white flowers against manicured boxwood, have for years and my online album is chock full of reasons why this combination works. So today, we are taking a look at all the beautiful ways to grow a beautiful lawn/garden and then the lowdown on a wonderful gardening gloves giveaway courtesy of Angela's Garden, home to some of the prettiest gardening items I have ever come across. So its a double treat today. How about you? Do you have a green thumb or maybe an "aspiring" green thumb?

Good morning, precious Tina! Put me in on this fabulous give-away! Like you all out there, we too are slow in getting our spring in place. The days are remarkably sunny but COLD and windy, so no gardening yet. But I am with ya on all of these photos, every single one of them. Though I love a colorful garden (more English), I am partial to the French style gardens that are more clipped, symmetrical and focus more on GREENERY and white. Last night as the sun was setting, we were enjoying a movie in our family room and off to the side through our French doors, we say a large rabbit enjoying himself in our boxwood garden. The snow has melted and now the orbs are exposed. He was jumping from one quadrant to another, and EVEN CAME UP to the platform leading up to the French doors. Last year, a rabbit and a squirrel sat there and looked in on our movie watching!!!!!!!!! So for us, the garden experience includes the wildlife that feels comfortable with our surroundings.
ReplyDeleteENJOY MY DEAR and have a blast! Anita
Any heavy duty work gloves gets my vote since I go through three pairs a summer. Love all the images of gardens and I can't wait to dig into the earth. Our snow is finally melting but not fast enough but soon we'll have green under us!

I LOVE the extra long garden gloves (the ones on sale for 20.00). I have soooooo much prep work and cleaning to do this spring after our fall hurricane, blizzard, and torturous winter. I am so excited for spring....for warm brown earth and life!
ReplyDeleteOh, and I liked their facebook page....I am Prince Snow Farm
DeleteGreat giveaway! I can never have too many pairs of gardening gloves. It's been way too chilly here, was in the twenties on the way to work...brrr! Hoping to get out and do some cleanup and moving mulch this weekend! All of your pictures inspired me, I need some green time! Visited her sight, and I'm a pink girl, love the hats, especially the peony! Liked her on FB also.
ReplyDeleteHi Tina! I love the green and white!! You would LOVE it here in Charleston...it is beautiful! I just ordered a raffia bag!!

It is my great pleasure to visit your website and to enjoy your excellent post here. I like that very much. Furniture shops
ReplyDeleteLove the Indigo Hat with the matching apron. Hat is needed when gardening in Houston!
ReplyDeleteCheryl and I must think alike! I also love the indigo hat and matching apron! Everything was great, though! Loved this post and love every color combination you showed us! So beautiful! We are covered in pollen down here in Alabama. Spring has definitely sprung in the South. Very stormy today but before this it has been truly glorious weather! I hope you will start seeing some of it soon! Much love is sent your way!
ReplyDeleteTina-
ReplyDeleteThis is one stunning and cheerful post. Lush is the word I was searching for. I cannot imagine having a landscape this beautiful.
Happy Thursday.

Good Morning Tina! The pictures of the beautiful gardens in your blog today are so inspiring. I live in the desert, but am constantly striving to turn our desert landscape into an English Garden. A daunting task indeed. Behind the wall leading to my back yard is a wonderful oasis with climbing rose bushes, giant Irises and any other flowering plant that I can get to grow. All of which are in bloom right now. My back yard is my oasis and spring and fall here in the desert are my favorite seasons where I can actually get my plants to flower before and after the intense desert heat. I visited Angela's garden facebook page. The green English Ivy garden gloves are so sweet.
ReplyDeleteHi Tina, this has me dreaming. We just bought a new house with beautiful old mature trees. Though it was somewhat neglected I have a vision of turning it into a lush oasis like many shown here. Like you I am a huge fan of boxwood and white flowers, no color for me. Something about the white is so elegant. I cannot wait to get busy. We are working with a well known landscape architect out of New Canaan who is coming up with such wonderful ideas, it has me so excited! Seeing this post is just the inspiration I need and I am going to show him this post, as so many of the looks I love you covered.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your blog. I cannot tell you how much I am learning and how many great ideas I have gotten from it! Would love to win the gloves/kneepads too. What a nice line Angelas Garden is. I love the pink sun hat. Hope I win!
Annie D.
So beautiful! I love the purple flowers with the green and white in the last picture. This post has me excited for spring and spring planting. Iam a novice gardener but would love to win the great gloves and kneepads!
ReplyDeleteSo cute...all her items! I would buy the denim work apron and love all the Kids items!
ReplyDeleteI liked Angela on Facebook too!
Thanks, Dana Munoz
Your photos are wonderful. Makes me want to jump in the car, go to the nearest garden center and load up the car.
ReplyDeleteI love the blue & white apron & hat, well anything blue & white. That's one of the reasons I love your blog so much!
I would love to win the gardening gloves. Faith B
Tina...I have been wanting to get into my garden and plant some flowers....these images are beautiful! Great give away also...
ReplyDeleteTina, I pinned almost all of these garden images! Gorg! I have zero knowledge of garden design and we are now at the point of landscape planning. LOVE all your picks!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day my friend!

gorgeous and I love the gloves!
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Tina! Toss my name in! I need gardening gloves and these look perfect. The white and green combination is common here in Seattle. We have lots of window boxes, topiaries, and hanging baskets around:) It's still too cold to get into any serious gardening .. but I can feel the weather changing and I expect to visit the nursery in a week or two. If I start planting too soon, that will guarantee a dip in temperature!
ReplyDeleteI'm back and have a post up but it's not refreshing on your blog roll (blogger does not like me). Hope you are having a great week. Looking forward to milder temps and some sunshine so we can all get outside!
xxleslie
Hello my dear Tina!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so beautiful! I'm experiencing the same thing. Sprig needs some caffeine and wake up soon. I had enough of the cold! :-)
Thank you so much for stopping by and for your email, Tina. I love talking to you... you're a very special friend to me.
Have a lovely day!!!

Hi, Please put me in the garden giveaway. I am loving the denim hat to protect my face from the Arizona sun while I am working outside. Just recently joined your blog and really enjoy it.

ReplyDeleteHi Tina, Love all the gardens!
ReplyDeleteGiveaway- I love the heavy duty work gloves and the work apron in the Peony pattern.
Thanks for another great post.
Adriana D.
The English Garden apron is pretty adorable! This was a beautiful journey through the garden Tina! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, they are all such enchanting gardens. I can almost feel what it feels like to be sitting in such beautiful, manicured outdoor spaces like that. I particularly liked the garden in the 5th photo with the water feature in the center and the open area of grass all around, and those long stemmed pink tulips are to die for! Off to look at look at Angelas garden now!
ReplyDeleteCindy
Lovely images, Tina. I pinned a bunch. My favorite gardening items are the classic indigo glove and the kid's garden tools...perfect for my grandson.
ReplyDeleteBest...Victoria
These photos are truly breathtaking Tina! And I loved yesterday's feature, too!

I must get some of the Gauntlet Gloves! My roses are neglected, because I dread pruning them! Please enter me in the give away, I'm headed back to the site to order the gauntlets!
ReplyDeleteJanet
I love the indigo hat. Nice giveaway, as always.

ReplyDeleteHello Tina,
ReplyDeleteI just had to stop and think a minute when I scrolled down your post and past my front door.. only realising it was my front door after a moment ( thank you for saying 'perfection')
I had marked it as one photograph to send you shortly!! I shall find something different now... :)
Love the green... xv
Tina,
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful collection of garden photos! I too am a fan of boxwood and with the white hydragenas they look fabulous.
Have a great day! Elizabeth
Dear Tina
ReplyDeleteThe black door is spectacular, love it. Your examples of white gardens are so beautiful. I can see that I have a long way to go to getting my garden into the shape I want-although I do have over 100 iceberg roses already-so it's a good starting point. I love Angela's brimmed indigo hat-great for keeping the California sun off your face. Trudi R.
I am drooling over the boxwood orbs! My seeds are already started inside, and I am longing to put on the gauntlet gloves and dig into the garden!
ReplyDeleteI like the Gauntlet Glove
ReplyDeleteTina-I love that English vine pattern...those classic gloves and that adorably work apron/skirt! My garden shed is lime green and those would make me really look coordinated (and like I know what I am doing)!
ReplyDeleteI would love to spend my time of weeding the garden wearing those floral gloves and floral hat...and the apron with pockets for holding small gardening tools is amazing and definitely something I want. Kristin F
ReplyDeleteSuch gorgeous photos. Love the black door pic. This weekend it's suppose to get warm and I can't wait to get out there and put some more flowers in. Have a wonderful weekend, Tina.
ReplyDeleteHi Tina, I love this post, the green paradise read today is what I needed! Snow everywhere we look in central europe... Hope that will change soon.

Love those gloves! I could use a pair of chic gloves to work in my yard. Those gardens are to die for! I would love to have my yard look so beautifully designed like those! XO
ReplyDeleteHi my name is Debbie S. and I am new to your blog. I love the color blue and love your Enchanted Home. Thank you for introducing me to Angela's Garden. I adore the indigo apron and matching hat. I think it would be a wonderful Mother's Day gift for myself! The gloves and knee pads would be a wonderful gift to use while puttering in my garden.Thank you
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely heavenly - such beautiful gardens. My parents are avid and talented gardeners, but I haven't got the patience. I want everything to be fully grown NOW. It drives my husband to distraction too, but he insists on buying and planting the smallest and cheapest plants possible and waiting for them to grow. I don't have the patience as I always want an instant garden.
ReplyDeleteThanks for introducing us to Angela's Garden. The gloves are so pretty and look very comfortable. The Green Garden tote looks like it would be a perfect solution to carry all of my hand tools to my garden beds that are a distance from the house. Loved this post!!! I too can't wait to get outside and start working in my gardens!
ReplyDeleteTina, thank you for introducing me to Angela's Garden. I could use a new pair of gardening gloves, so please count me in. I've never used knee pads, but that's a great idea. I'm in TX so I've had some time in the garden in recent weeks. Thanks for sharing all these lovely garden images. I'm a fan of white flowers agains the beauty of green.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the beautiful posts on gardening and then sharing Angela's Garden. In Australia right now it is Autumn but as we do not have winters like yours, where I am it is pretty much always gardening season (apart from the hottest summer days). I love white in the greenery but need other colour so as not to fade out in our bright light.
ReplyDeleteThe gardening gloves etc look wonderful and there really is only ever one colour for me and that would be blue. Cannot have too much! I love that the patterns at Angela's Garden include blue.
I really love the heavy duty gloves...you never see those for women.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful garden!

Those gloves are lovely, and matching knee pads! (though they would end up matching soon enough, as in coated with mud at my house); how marvelous!
ReplyDeletemargueritecore [at] gmail [dot] com
I share your passion for white and green. I love a green tapestry {many shades of green} with the white. The blue delphiniums blended in are lovely.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely post, leaves one so refreshed just looking!! and would love the gloves/knee pads, of course!
ReplyDeletea bientôt!

My first visit to Angela's Garden Shop and I'm hooked! I love the Green Garden Collection, especially the apron. I have a cart, but the cart and I become separated along the way. The apron would be just what I need for those in between areas.
ReplyDeleteThe selection of photos in today's blog were wonderful. Thank you for sharing your ideas.

Hydrangeas are my fave! Loving the white. There is a house in Chatham, MA called Hydrangea walk and it has blue hydrangeas lining the length of a brick walk stretching from the street to the front door - it's beautiful!! xo
ReplyDeleteBeauties abound! I so love visiting your blog, it brightens my day! How about some more updates to your Enchanted Home?
ReplyDeleteHugs~

ReplyDeleteGood Friday morning, Tina!!!
ReplyDeleteI agree...there is nothing quite so elegant and classic as white flowers on a green background. With a white house, I end up choosing flowers with color, but I so love the look of every single photo above.
Hope the sun shines on you today and that you have a great weekend!!
xoxo Elizabeth
We think everyone is on the same page and hoping that spring will finally show itself this weekend. We're so itching to get our gardens into viewing shape and your pictures are such inspiration! Hope you have a wonderfully warm day...
