Designer spotlight: Toni Gallagher

Hi there and happy Thursday morning......haven't done one of these in a long time.Bracing for more snow over here, ugh! It won't be on the same scale as the last monster of a storm but we are due to get 4-6" of snow tonight and lots of high winds....... guess I can deal with that as long as this is our last snowfall! Enough is enough!

Designer spotlight is when I feature a designer and their work, who has caught my eye. When I saw the first picture of Toni's own vanity...my heart skipped a beat. Gorgeous with a capital G! I was intrigued and upon further investigation decided that this was a designer whose work I am a definite fan of and wanted to see more of. Much more.

Her work is clearly traditional but everything feels so light and airy too. Any designer who creates cloud like bedrooms (my favorite kind) uses blue and white in many of her projects and has a taste for the classics is a design hero in my book!  Classic, timeless, supremely elegant and of course just beautiful. I think with my incredible desire to see spring, I am particularly drawn to her work as it appears so fresh, inviting and warm, much like the season of spring. Toni is based in Rye, NY but does work all over the country. So lets take a look at this talented designers work, shall we.....

This vanity is absolutely dreamy!!
Love her use of blue and whites....
Such a beautiful tranquil space....
Such an elegant bathroom....love the tones and the beautiful artwork makes a bath feel so special

This is so picture perfect!! Adore this space
Love the piping, the freshness that all the blue brings to this charming space
Love ivory in a bedroom....so serene.
This is such a beautiful guest room.....how inviting!
This is  a fabulous breakfast room.....so cheery and sophisticated
My favorite color palette for a bedroom......
This guest bedroom is so inviting......love the addition of the check fabric, adds such charm!
Beautiful nautical inspired  space.......
Simply gorgeous outdoor area...makes me crave summer in a BIG way!
So pretty!
Charm galore....

This room feels and looks like a perfect cloud!
I want that secretary!!
Or this one......
Love this sunny spot and what a view, have such a fondness for windowseats!
Don't you just love cozy spaces like this?

Well....what do you think? Have a favorite room here?  I love her style and think she has the "fresh classic" vibe nailed! Always enjoy discovering the work and talents of a new designer (new to me that is). If you want to look back at other "designer spotlight" posts about other talented designers, on top left in search bar, just type in designer spotlight and it will take you to all the old posts. Thanks for stopping in and letting me be a part of your day! Wishing you a wonderful Thursday!

  1. A name I have not heard, which is a surprise as her work is just beautiful. I love how everything feels so airy and bright. That vanity in the first picture is beautiful and living near the coast I am drawn to her coastal inspired rooms. Lovely work! Thank you for introducing me.

  2. Good morning precious soul....

First of all, I want to thank you for always visiting me. You are so kind to recognize that all I want to do is write, present and give something magical way. Thank you.

OK, these rooms.....HOLY SMOKES, I want every room in these photos! AND THAT SECRETARY that you want? I took an old French style secretary and painted it that gray color with gold highlights. Let me tell you, it came out gorgeous. My husband thought I had purchased an antique when he saw it done in my studio!

Tina, your posts always lift me up and I cannot wait to see what you show us in the spring. I believe you are going to get the backlash of the storm that just dumped a lot of snow of us two days ago!

Be safe, enjoy the coziness of your home. Anita

  3. Tina,
I realized at 6:30am that I hadn't heard from the school, which meant we weren't delayed...then looked outside. Nothing. Flurries. Hmmmm...wondering if it's coming tonight or (fingers crossed) it will blow right by.

OK.....this post stopped me in my tracks because I know Toni. She lives 3 houses up on my street. Here own home was on Rye's home tour 4 years ago and it was such a treat to walk around in such a beautiful space...rooms that had been featured in design books. She is so nice too!!! She and a buddy do their morning walk right by my house every morning. I can't wait to tell her about this.

    Have a great day!
    xoxo Elizabeth

  6. Seeing this post was like a breath of fresh spring air. What beautiful rooms. My favorite has to be that all white kitchen with touches of blue and that heavenly blue and white bedroom. Really enjoyed seeing her work, a name I am going to be sure to remember. Thanks Tina

  7. Gorgeous. Her vanity is so beautiful. I would love to have my own personal space like that. And as much as I love the interior rooms, those outdoor spaces are really calling me. Maybe because I cannot wait for the warm weather to come and to be outside enjoying the fresh air again.

  8. I have a kidney shaped dressing table and over the years I have made new slips for the table to coordinate with my room. I love the look, it's so feminine. So for me the first image is especially pretty. I like the colours and fabrics Toni uses in all of her spaces, they are subtle.

  11. I love the rooms I see here. I can't wait until I get into a store and start shopping. I really wonder if my friend Kaye gets inspiration form The Enchanted Home style. Her old home looked like thses rooms all through her house, and now since she has gotten married to a very contemporaty man, and gained additional children, she has incorporated both styles to make even more inviting and a little less fragile rooms then what she was used to. But She missed her calling as a professional decorator...

  12. Toni's rooms are stunning and I can see why you like her style so much her style it's like yours, beautiful. We're due to get another 8-12 inches of the white stuff up here today into tomorrow and I'm done with snow. I usually like it but not this much!

  13. All of these rooms are truly fabulous! I'm super glad I took the time to sit down for a few minutes this morning! After your sweet email I realized just how much I've missed reading all of my favorite blogs and catching up with my blogland friends! Thank you for doing that! I love the ivory bedroom and agree that it is stunning! And those secretaries! They are to die for! We have a new thing in our city called Mountain Brook Trading ( which is where my shop is located) and it's on Facebook….it has gone crazy! It's a place to post your items you are selling and they can't be "horribly tacky!". I am currently bidding on a great secretary for $100.00! I sure hope I get it! Things are flying off of this sight and it's quite addictive! I've sold a crazy amount of shoes, jewelry and even furniture on it. Maybe that would make for a good post? Anyway, this was great and I certainly loved seeing Toni's work! Thanks!

I hope you don't get hit too hard by the snow - we have absolutely nothing here.
