As I am starting to think about my own bedroom and how I will decorate it, now that the carpeting debate is done, I have gone back to looking at my collection of bedroom inspiration pictures. I favor a traditional look to be sure but like it light and airy, I want that feeling of walking onto a cloud, my personal oasis, the bedroom is one room that should feel like a total refuge from the rest of our world. Now this should be interesting to see which is the favorite. I love to know what you all love and think makes up a fabulous bedroom! Do you follow trends and colors or do you stay with what you really love no matter what the "pros" are telling you do to? Do tell and hope you have a fabulous day.
T,
ReplyDeletei love the whole concept
of showing the winners or 'favorites'
at least i can see if i am in touch with what other design minded individuals gravitate to.

Hi Tina, my choice didnt' make it but I still love it! As far as these incredible bedrooms, you do not make it easy. i scrolled three or four times, but have two as my top pick, sorry cannot narrow it down- choice 7 and 11, both are so beautiful but look really inviting too. Now I want to do over my entire bedroom!
ReplyDeleteI like # 3 the best :) I found your blog a couple of days ago - fantastic eye candy and inspiration. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteChoice 6 and hopefully the great Atlantic is whats on the other side of those windows!
ReplyDeleteWith a busy week ahead, I'm liking the serene, calm of choice #6 and hope those beautiful windows look over a quite body of water. Almost ready to go back to bed!

Hi Tina! I'm so happy you had the same kind of weather we had too over the weekend! Wasn't it just glorious! Your bedroom choices are fabulous! But 3 stole my heart. I think it looks like me! I am getting less and less formal the older I get. When I saw Mrs. Howard designed this room I was not surprised. I gravitate to her work!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day! Be blessed, my friend!
I would choose nr. 11.
ReplyDeletegreetings from Holland! With love,
Ineke
Oh my goodness they're all so lovely! Any of them would be such heaven. I love choice #1 the most. Happy Monday, Tina!
ReplyDelete#6 for me please.
ReplyDelete#7 is just so beautiful and doesn't look like something we have seen over and over! it's a beauty!
ReplyDeleteAdore them all; however choice #7 and # 10 are my favorites!
ReplyDeleteTina....Thought you would enjoy...Interview with Leslie of Segreto Finishes and her fabulous Book Giveaway!

#6 stood out to me - the light in that room is amazing - it's definitely my favourite.
ReplyDelete1, 5, 11 and 13...sorry cannot choose just one! Beautiful rooms, Tina.
ReplyDeleteThe beach house living room i chose was the 2nd one, glad to see I have lots of company. So happy Teddys doing great.
I like choice #4.
ReplyDeleteThese always stress me out because they are always too gorgeous to just pick one. Glad you had a good weekend... the weather was perfect!! xo
ReplyDeletePhoebe Howard. No question. She's a genius with bedrooms. I don't think I'd ever leave that seating area! Great pictures!
ReplyDeleteWhat great spaces! Choice 9 and 13 look wonderful, with 9 (William Eubanks) being my first choice.
ReplyDeleteYou do not make this easy, normally I can narrow it down to one but this time I am really torn between 1 and 9. Both my dream bedroom. Now if only I could achieve that in my own bedroom. Thanks for the beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteChoice 3- it looks the most comfortable.
ReplyDeleteNumber 9!! i love the elegance of this room. Classic and timeless. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteI really love #2 as first choice. The high ceilings, the colors and spaciousness. My second choice would have to be #1, it is so cozy! Reminds me of my mom's chenille bedspreads with an old antique look. Great rooms Tina.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week.

The French Hutch
It' so nice to know you all enjoyed the fab weather we had, it has been glorious. The bedrooms are all dreamy (pun intended), #6 is my favorite, closely followed by the Suzanne Kasler, #10.
ReplyDeleteSending you a smile for the week to come!

Hi Tina - glad you had such a great weekend! The weather here was supposed to be beautiful and then wasn't - which is worse than expecting rain and planning indoor activities accordingly! Oh well. :) As for today's choices, #6 is an absolute stunner! Have fun planning your bedroom - that is on my list as well but it's lower than some other rooms so I am still gathering inspiration. I spent some time studying that picture for ideas so thanks! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah! I picked the winning living room! Aren't I smart? :). All the the bedrooms are wonderful and #3 definitely steels my heart! For me, true luxury starts with wonderful bedding. Doesn't have to be super expensive...just comfy to sit up in, soft, clean, pretty, in creamy dreamy colors! I'm stuck in a white, cream, gold thing, right now. Perfect for summer. Glad you had a beautiful weekend!
ReplyDeleteWow, this was a difficult one for me. I could easily live with several of them. But I try to go with the first one that makes my heart skip a beat.
ReplyDeleteI choose #3 Phoebe Howard's room. It just feels so inviting, and like a cocoon, just as a master bedroom should feel.
In answer to your question.....you should ALWAYS follow your heart. If you LOVE something, then you will always be happy with it. Trends come and go, and come and go......and come and go. You can never keep up with every latest 'design must have'. So buy what you love, and love your home.
I love them all, but number 6 is my favourite. It is a wonderful weekend in Ontario too.
ReplyDeleteI am in love with #3 - I am such a huge Phoebe Howard fan, it is not a surprise that this room was decorated by her.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE #7, although they're all beautiful. Not only is it beautiful and elegant, it's serene and inviting and would meet all my needs for my own personal retreat.
ReplyDeleteWell they are all quite beautiful and I got more than a few ideas for my own master do over happening as we speak. So the timing was excellent.
ReplyDeleteBut hands down my absolute favorites are 7, 8 and 9. How funny that they are grouped together. I don't know if I would ever want to leave my bedroom if it looked as pretty as those. I cannot wait to see what you come up with your bedroom, I know its going to be beautiful.
This was fun-
15 LOOKS SO PEACEFUL. ONLY IF THE MOUTAINS AND A LAKE ARE RIGHT OUTSIDE THE WINDOW, THIS WOULD BE A GREAT RETREAT.
ReplyDeleteFOR MY EVERYDAY BEDROOM 1 STOLE MY HEART. LOVE IT!
MAGGIE
I would choose #7. Restful and elegant without being too masculine or feminine. A nice mix of styles, altho I would most likely choose a very pale greyed aqua for the walls!
ReplyDeleteIf only to have one night in each room!!! For me, #3 was my favorite. I love the beams, the lighting, and of course, the sitting area. #16 is a close second as it appeals to my occasional need for pattern but not overwhelming. Very sophisticated!
ReplyDeleteOops, meant #13 was the close second :))
DeleteI would choose 11. Beautiful rooms!
ReplyDeleteSo many beautiful images, but I guess I would choose #1. I love the black framed bed. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteI like the last one, #16. We have a sitting room in one of our master bedrooms and it's such a nice place to sit, read, and unwind.
ReplyDeleteSam
I love 8...it is masculine in a Ralph Lauren kind of way. I tend to decorate with what I love, and accessorize with trends...does that make sense? Glad to see Teddy looking so good:) Happy Monday, Brenda.
ReplyDeleteHands down #6 this was easy for me. I like my bedroom to be soft, quiet, ocean and cloud like so the all white and soft blue is what is important to me. I don't want any pattern, just softness. Happy Monday,
ReplyDeleteKathysue
Thought this was going to be easy. Number 1 first stole my heart, but then I saw 11 and then 13. Those are my top three, but if forced to chose, I think I'd take Number 11 for my bedroom.
ReplyDeleteWhile I love to see the new trends come out, I usually just stick with what I love. To freshen up a space, I may sometimes add a trendy color or pattern accent here and there -- if I love them and they complement what I have.
My favorite is n°6! Love that serene look!!

# 3 for me. Love the color, love everything. After spending the weekend in the hospital, my own bedroom looked heavenly last night. There is nothing like home and a cat within reach to fix what ails oneself. Too bad the doc couldn't prescribe "cat" in the hospital.
ReplyDeleteTina, I love your blog.
xoxo
Hands down #7 is my favorite if I were doing my own room. Your timing is perfect as I am currently plotting the redecorating of 3 bedrooms in my house after doing the upstairs bath. I have "inspiration photos and paint swatches all over my kitchen counter as we speak. My second choice is #16 and I am trying to utilize an antique bed with a crocheted bedspread that was a gift from my parents years ago into a guest room decor so #3 would make a lovely example to follow in that regard. P.S. So happy to hear that Teddy is doing well.
ReplyDeleteNone of these bedrooms are really my style, as I love loads of REAL color and texture. These are too muted for my taste. But of all, #3 by Phoebe Howard comes closest.
ReplyDeleteIn the bedroom, most of all, I want lushness, comfort I can sink into. I want a bedside table I can pile up with books, great lighting to read by, and while I love natural light, I also want thick drapes I can pull to block the light so I can sleep late when I want. I want everything in my room to say "ahhhh, I am home!".
Comfort in the bedroom for me equals cushions, glamour, a seating area and a place for books/magazines, so it has to be images 7 and 11 for me. If forced to choose - then 7 is my winner!
ReplyDeletePaula x
Number 8 is fabulous for the mix of masculine and feminine, 11 is wonderful just because I love the bench at the end of the bed. But in the end the winner for me would have to be number 16 by Victoria Hagan. It's so clean and fresh and plenty of bright light!
ReplyDeleteXX
Debra~
Nr. 6, 7 and 16. But 6 is my favourite.
ReplyDeleteNumber 11 for me. There were too many valances and jabots for my taste in the other rooms. I like the bench, the lamps and the color scheme in this one. As for the question about trends, I do what I love no matter what the shelter magazines or design blogs are showing.
ReplyDeleteBest...Victoria
without a shadow of a doubt it has to be no 12 for me stunning, dreamy and serene.
ReplyDeleteI love #6, its airy bright white feel… However, I love the mirrored headboard in #4!
ReplyDeleteI love 8, so elegant...but 13 is also fabulous!! They're all splendid! I like white in pics, in real life is broing to see it everyday..I think. Hugs and thanks for sharing it with us.
ReplyDeleteFABBY
Number 6 for me!
ReplyDeleteLove #8! They are all so lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou always find the most inspiring photos Tina!
ReplyDeleteI love several but my favorite speaks to me because it relates to my reality...the smaller scale of our new bedroom...no 14
Have a wonderful week!
Donna
Love all of these! I too am starting to think about my new bedroom!! #6 jumped out at me so I'm going to choose that one. I love all of the white!
ReplyDelete16!!!! Hard choice though:)
ReplyDeleteChoice 6 has my vote!
ReplyDeleteLove all of these rooms! Makes me want to redecorate!
ReplyDeleteIt's no surprise I'm having a tough time choosing which one I'd choose -- our bedroom is far from finished because I can't make up my mind about how I want it to look! I think 6 and 7 are speaking to me most... and if I had to choose just one, it would be 6 -- I just love a white room.
ReplyDeleteHope your week is busy and fun and that your custom-ordered weather continues! XO
1, 7 and 10... I think... and 15 because if I could have a snowy getaway... this is how I would love it... Tina.. these choices are always tough! xv
ReplyDelete4 for me!! 6 is a close call! Stunning bedrooms!
ReplyDelete#6...and what's outside that beautiful door?!
ReplyDelete2 if I wanted to feel like a total princess because that room looks fit for royalty but coming back to earth, 7 is just a perfect mix in my opinion of all the elements that make up a beautiful bedroom. Tina, all these are just drop dead gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI love your chioces and would not turn down any one of them! Give Teddy a hug:-)
Although I'm sick of the all white look--or thought I was--#6 is my favorite. Second choice is #15--love the room itself..not crazy about the bedding.
ReplyDeleteHugs to Teddy! Posted his "new and Improved" pic on my Pinterest Wall!
1,6,15, and 16 are my top favorites! You know we can't just love one style!
ReplyDelete13! So different from my home, but I LOVE it!!
ReplyDeleteStacy
There's no question...It's 16 !!
ReplyDelete3 first reaction but 16 is very nice also.
ReplyDeleteSo #1 for me: 3
#2: 16
Lots of great choices though!
I like 1,7, and 11 must be all the different serene colors in all of them. Hard to decide I'd have to have all of them in my house and sleep in each room during different seasons in the year to feel balanced lol.
ReplyDeleteBette
Has to be Barry Dixon, but I love that Courtney Hill headboard!
ReplyDeleteNumber 6 is the clear winner! Clean, beautiful, comfortable looking space. You could just stay in there for hours of rest and relaxation!!!
ReplyDeleteNumber three for me!
ReplyDeleteNo. 16! It embraces all the elements I prefer in my personal bedroom... great lighting, cozy bed, comfy sitting area, simple and understated. Although 6 is beautiful, too, I just can't imagine a room where my kids or my pups can't come into. Bedroom 3 is another fave for the amazing ceiling & incredible window seat area. Can't wait to see the results!
ReplyDeleteOh, definitely #1, because it is a grander version of my existing bedroom, but of course I would have to wave a magic dec wand and make it all is blues, sprinkle some dog and cat fur around increase the book stack to the 10th power and voila, my room!!!
ReplyDeleteI "think" my brackets from the shop will arrive today, I am panting with anticipation!!! If only that stupid measuring tape will behave........it makes me drive nails just a bit off. I will be channeling Charles Faudree this afternoon, then will rest and read in bedroom #1. Life is good!!!
My pick is #1! I love toile and the wall coverings seem to do it for me! Chairs instead of sofas because they are moveable and I like the way they sit. I like to be able to scan the whole room with my eye. Here you can see under the bed, chairs, end tables, etc. Love the black poster bed with the clean white coverlet - so simple and clean, yet elegant. Has a feel of timeless and oh yes the oil painting above the bed gives it a classic punch. Good day here!
ReplyDeleteDarling Tina!
ReplyDeleteHow fabulous to see you today on board the PLANE toward Paris, hovering over England!!!! teeeheee.....your lovely pink.....NO....BLUE luggage is safely tucked away, EMPTY to allow for you to make purchases in Paris and haul them back!!!! :)
Thank you for always coming to send a lovely smile to me. Oh how I love all your choices and I love FRENCH ANTIQUES in a bedroom with soft whites and grays!
BIG HUGS..Anita
While they are all so beautiful, 11 or 13 is what really speaks to me. I think the elements important to a great master bedroom are-
ReplyDeletesoft soothing colors
neutral carpeting
soft lighting
a fireplace doesnt' hurt:-)
Neutral off white bedding or one color, not a fan of lots of print or pattern or color
Lovely post and I got so many good ideas!
Number 1 definately.
ReplyDeleteNumber 16 is calm, serene and beautiful; that's my pick. I could live in many of these gorgeous rooms, but that's my fave! Beth
ReplyDeleteChoice 7 for me, light, airy and comfortable.
ReplyDeleteI love number 7. It just looks like the perfect space to relax, but I could be happy in 16, also. #7 is my fave!
ReplyDelete3 and 10 are my favorites!!!! In that order :)
ReplyDeleteNumber 3, hands down.
ReplyDelete#16 for me. I could see myself spending all day in that room...reading, blogging, napping :)
ReplyDeletei love no. 6. it puts my bedroom to such shame. but i love mine! it's not too big, not too small. tons of light and monochromatic. and i love my mattress! i thik it may be the most important element of a bedroom for me.
ReplyDeletesmiles, sunshine girl.
michele
Needing a combination of 1 and 11. Love a bedroom that is calm, serene and my special haven...these fit the bill perfectly!!
ReplyDeleteAll beautiful, but I've got to go with Phoebe Howard, Choice 3! I love everything she does. Such a great combination of pretty yet comfy, inviting and livable.
ReplyDeletePhoebe Howard's just has the layers of texture and warmth that I love in my bedroom! #3 is my choice, but it was not easy!
ReplyDeleteIt's a tie between 6 and 16. I love the serene feeling of 6 with the beautiful windows and the amazing light but 16 is more of a true retreat. I could feel "at home" in this room. I would probably choose 16 if I had to choose. Too bad I don't have that wonderful predicament!
ReplyDeleteNumber 6.
ReplyDeleteLove them all but choice 3 is my favorite!!
ReplyDelete6, 14 or 16. Hard choice, they are all so beautiful. PS 5 weeks to go, husband away for two weeks in Europe so hoping I can keep my legs crossed while he's gone. Now having a hard time settling on a nursery colour scheme as you can imagine!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love all of your inspiration photos! The framed art panel walls is fabulous!
ReplyDelete11 or 13 makes my heart happy. They are all quite beautiful and I love how most don't have too much pattern and color. Feel a bedroom, especially a master should be very peaceful and restful not over stimulating. You certainly picked a bevy of beauties!
ReplyDelete7 - beauty plus comfort plus practical. Divine Bunny.
ReplyDeleteFor the Ralph Lauren in me, #8 is perfect for the masculine/feminine room....actually very serene. I would love #11 if I could take away the fru fru window and canopy treatments. Give me solid drapes and I'm sold!
ReplyDeleteHands down, #1.
ReplyDeleteHi Tina,
ReplyDeleteBeing a new friend to your blog, I am so inspired. No. 13 has my vote. Lots of comfy pillows and great lighting. Some color but yet soft and serene. Especially love the beautiful procelain lamps. Although I feel that chairs at the bottom of a bed are not practical, I would definitely use a beautiful upholstered bench and add a secretary to that room. So, for me, I could take some of the photos and pick what is most pleasing and combine them to make the perfect bedroom. Thank you for sharing such wonderful photos. Can't wait to see what you have to share next time.
Choice 3 all the way, rustic, I like it.
