Can't believe its already Wednesday! Where is time going? Seriously it used to be days flying by, now its weeks flying by, can't believe Memorial day is just around the corner. Which leads me to thinking about summer, and all the wonderful things that go along with it. Do you enjoy summer entertaining as much as I do? I love it..and would happily eat and drink outdoors year round given the choice. And I know some of you lucky readers are lucky enough to do this year round, that live in climates that allow for it. Lucky you!
So imagine this....you are planning a girls tapas night, and you are going to make it casually chic, and best part of all....... its going to be in a beach house you have rented for the summer! Imagine your dream beach house, directly ON the beach, doesn't get better than that, does it?You get to choose your living room to entertain in. Bear in mind the kind of party it is, many of you will end up sitting on the floor, shoes kicked off, roaring laughter filling the air, no pretenses, just some much needed and cherished old fashioned girls fun! So...choose your living room for your little shindig! Which one could you see hosting this little fete in?

So...I am anxious to see which takes the top prize! I have my eye on a few but wouldn't turn away any of them, and I have my evening all planned out. Tons of tapas/small plates, all kinds of fun drinks, great music, a sunset stroll along the beach with wine in hand, and absolutely NO calorie counting is permissible the entire night. This would be a diet free zone, you hear that all my lettuce eating friends! Which means decadent desserts don't count and the evening will end with a smores making session outside with the firepit....how about you? How would you plan your beachy girls beach bash?
My favorite room overall is room #9, but room #14 has a better "beach" vibe. If they are diet free zones, however, I will take them all.
ReplyDeleteChoice 12, its beautiful but so cozy looking too. And of course I would light a fire with unlimited amounts of wine at our disposal! Your description of this fun night sounds like such a great time. All these rooms are spectacular but 12 really seals the deal for me!
ReplyDeleteChoice #14 looks so relaxing for a vacation. It is not what I would do in my house, but perfect for this occasion.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely number 9 or 2! Possible swaying towards number 2 more for a beach house evening - number 9 feels more like home!

Tina I love the feel of #14 by Lynn Morgan! The blue and white palette and fresh summery feel speaks beach cottage to me!

ReplyDeleteNumber 9 for me! It was between 4 and 9, but 9 is more beachy!

Number TWO for me. Cozy and calm. Love the neutral colors, and the feel of the room.
ReplyDeleteThey are all so beautiful its hard to pick but after going back and forth I am going with #3 its so crisp and inviting.
ReplyDeleteOn a side note got my silver pieces and topiary pillow and can I just tell you they are absolutely beautiful, even better in person. Love the store, Tina~

I'm picking choice #1, but ONLY because I know what the design of the rest of the house looks like and it is one of my all-time favorite Meg Braff designs :)
ReplyDelete# 1 #'s 3 & 5 are nice too, but I am sticking with #1!
ReplyDeleteChoice 4 normally wouldn't be my "go to" style, especially at the beach, but it is so chic - especially for a girls gathering since the women can appreciate these things - I choose that one! Fun selections Tina! Glad you liked my courtyard post today - they make me melt so it was fun to put together. :)
ReplyDeleteJumping up and down, number two or me please!
ReplyDeleteIt would be #4. Love Phoebe, one of my fav...
ReplyDeleteFor my own home, choice 11/sothebys. But for a beach getaway with the girls, I would go with choice 3 or 14.
ReplyDeletesharon @ mrs. hines class
Wow, once again you make it so hard to choose, but 9 is really speaking to me today. There's something about navy and white that is so perfect for a chic beach house. xo
ReplyDeleteFor a casual girl's night in a beach setting, #14 is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteBest...Victoria
#12 and #14. 12 is so lovely, while 14 is a bit more rustic. I love them both!
ReplyDelete8 or 9. but i think 9.
ReplyDeletediet free zone has my name written all over it, tina. my appetite won't have it. and don't let the chicken-y arms fool you (pure genetics) i eat slow but i enjoy food more than anyone i know!
have a wonderful wednesday!

NO. 9 is my favorite I think, but also like the amount of seating in 3. I think I could actually make any of them work. Sounds like a fun evening.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #2. This is the first time I didn't have to struggle among the choices. All the rooms are lovely, but that one just spoke to me.
ReplyDeleteNumber 13, please. Looks like the perfect room for a beachy getaway! Would love to have that gorgeous space to play in all summer long, and I'm sure the rest of the imaginary house would be just perfect!
ReplyDeleteHope you are enjoying the days as they fly by, Tina! XO
#3 and #9! Sounds like a fun girls night with lots of laughter and I'm liking that diet-free-zone :)
ReplyDeleteleslie
I'll take #2 because I love that view!
ReplyDeleteGood morning, Tina! You are the party master! And you saved the best for last! #14, please! Love the high, beamed ceilings and rustic, relaxed design. Also looks like a beautiful view out the windows!
ReplyDeleteCheers!,
Barbara
Oh number 14 it is!! Love the world traveler feel - specially when is right by the beach - dream!!

Number 4 or number 9.....
ReplyDeleteNumber 6 for me for tht relaxed feeling! I don't seem to be picking a popular one though....
ReplyDelete2, 8, 11, 14 or 18 would be my choices!
ReplyDelete#13 for me please, love it!! A beach house is my dream house!! Loved this post and all the eye candy to choose from, xo Kathysue
ReplyDeleteHey Tina! 10 or 11 for me, both different but both grand yet beachy and inviting. I love how you think, especially the no calories part, now thats my kind of party! It will be to see which "wins". Now off to check out your store!
ReplyDeleteI love 1, 11, 12, 13,. I think any of them would be great for entertaining.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day!
I am split between #3 and #10, love the colors, the garden stools and the big
ReplyDeletecomfy seating arrangements!
Nr 4 and 14
ReplyDeleteOooh, what a lot of lovelies you found for us all to drool over! First choice has to be #3, it is just perfect for the occasion. And every other time in my life, heh, heh, heh. The look of #7 is also dreamy, the color scheme is so beachy and relaxed, I love it.
ReplyDeleteAs always, you found *amazing* choices!
tp
Hi Tina, they're all awesome, my top picks are 2, 11 and 14 - but if i had to choose one i'd go with #11 - for my home, for a getaway, for anything - it's my top pick!!
ReplyDeleteHow do you find all these amazing images?!!! I think it's #8 or #9 for me!!! They just seem perfect for a weekend with the girls!!!
ReplyDeleteHave the most wonderful day, Tina!!!
xoxo Elizabeth
Number 2. This is the first one ever that was not excruciatingly painful for me :) I love all the sparkle in # 2
ReplyDeletexo Stacy
#14
ReplyDelete#11 for me! I think it is a very elegant and versatile room!
ReplyDeleteSherill Canet, Phoebe Howard and Nate Burkus' all win in my opinion! Maybe it could be a "Progressive Party" and we could experience each one! And then, when it's over…retire to Sotheby's beautiful home! I loved them all truthfully! What a fun post! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteCarolyn
Hard to choose between all these lovely living rooms... But since I'd be entertaining a crowd, I love the flow between the living, dining and kitchen areas of choice #8!
ReplyDeletexxoo
Number 2 is my favourite. It's cozy and serene. Number 14 would be great for a big party.
ReplyDeleteI chose 10 & 14. I love Alexa Hampton & Nate Burkus. Is my drink ready???
ReplyDeleteI think 14... it's different and has a certain warmth about it... What fun... wish we could! xv
ReplyDeleteHello, my beautiful Tina!
ReplyDeleteHow are you doing? Did you have a good Mother's Day? I thought about you.
This is soooo inspiring and I can't stop thinking (and looking at) the #8! Incredible!

I choose 6 just loved the feel of it immediately upon viewing!
ReplyDeleteI was going to say 8 until I saw 14 !! Love 14 - relaxed but stylish
ReplyDeleteI would choose 11, however there are details of the others that I like to for instance:
ReplyDelete2 for the view
4 for the bright colours
10 for the delicious lemonaids and desserts I imagine they serve and that cute bird house
14 for the lamps and floors and feeling.
but I had to go with 11 because of those delicious windows floors and the peek at what looks to be a gorgeous backyard.

Choice 12 for me. Just so pretty and such a great vibe. I love the sound of your little girls bash, sounds like something I would plan, just need the beach house and I am all set!
ReplyDeleteWOW! So hard to decide. But, I'm going with #3 because of the seating arrangements and how comfortable it looks. And I can see greenery outside, a patio, and because you told me, the sea just beyond.
ReplyDeleteIt was a difficult choice though. I thought #3, but as I scrolled further, I changed my number so many times, I had to review the whole list.
Thanks for making dreams so vivid! Around 9 (out of 11) of us (my girlfriends from childhood through high school) get together each summer/fall somewhere in the USA for at least 4 days for just such a "therapy/laughter/eating" experience. Shopping used to be at the top of the location search, but as we've aged (now mostly age 65), it's further down on the list of must-haves and bedrooms/bathrooms/food are most important to us. Through the years, these sessions are where I find out I was not crazy, other of my friends were going through the same things (think job discrimination, menopause, aging parents, rambunctious children, straying husbands, and a wife or two who strayed (and we know she wasn't to blame, as she was one of us!). We go to fabulous places, but we haven't done a beach house yet; you gave me something to add to our bucket list!
#3 is so soft and beautiful. My favorite color of blue/green.
Delete7 or 11 bug really it's tortuous to choose! They are all so amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteI love #12.
ReplyDeletequite a few but in the end #7 for me it looks so cosy realistic & some were you could sit & relax in with the family :)
ReplyDeleteDefinitely #6 has more of a chic kick-your-shoes-off beach girls night out vibe for me... although if I were able to stay a few extra days it would be #9 so I could curl up on the couch with some of those fabulous books.
ReplyDeleteAll the rooms are lovely, but I like the vibrant color and gorgeous furnishings of #10 and #13 the best!
ReplyDeleteChoice 7 and 13 are my favorites! They are all gorgeous, but those seem the most fun for the fun evening you described!
ReplyDeleteI love no 12 with no 11 a close 2nd! But would be happy to have a girls bash in any of them! x Sharon
ReplyDeleteThat's an impossible choice - I would be utterly delighted with any of them and never want to leave.
ReplyDelete10! That green! That wallpaper! Beautiful
ReplyDeleteIT HAS TO BE 11 for me!!! MORNING DEAR TINA! Anita
ReplyDeleteHi Tina!
ReplyDeleteI love the color of the third room, I think it is so soothing. I also love the color of the room number 10. I guess I'm in a greenish bluish state of mind these days! Have a wonderful day!
xo

Tina,
ReplyDeleteThis is sooo hard!! I like #2 because I would open the french doors so guests could take their glass of wine out there and look at the ocean and moonlight. Although, I like #7 too because it just seems comfy and the colors are fun. It just feels like good conversation would happen there.
Take a breather!! I bet the new shop is keeping you super busy. Don't forget to rest and have down-time. You seem like a girl who never stops.
Love,
Deb
No.9 has the perfect put-your-feet-up seating for me, plus it has books, books, books. I only hope it's located on an oceanfront white sandy beach.
ReplyDeleteWow...that was difficult. But I think it's #12 for me
ReplyDelete3,6,9,13...
ReplyDeletei dont know, maybe i like them all lol!
Number 2 is charming and I want to walk right in and curl up on the sofa! Thomas O'brian's number 6 is very elegant, too..
ReplyDeleteChoice 10!!!
