Monogram mania part 2 and a monogram giveaway!

Hi there....... First thanks sooo much for all those amazing drink suggestions yesterday. You guys are amazing! I did try one (in addition to making my sangria) which is now one of my official faves as I LOVE raspberry so thank you Marlindarling....tried your "Sassy Razz" and it was love at first sip! YUM!! Everyone loved it and its a keeper in my short but favorite drink repertoire. I will post on it and other things about last night in a few days.

Moving along........ I had done a post on one my of my favorite subjects, monograms many months ago and thought a follow up post is way overdue. I LOVE monograms, have them on everything from my bedding to my guest towels and napkins, to my key chain to clogs that I wear like a uniform. You just don't understand how much I adore them, used to want to be a stationer who would specialize in letterpress monogrammed stationary just so I could be part of the creative process over and over.......Love them!
Its a time honored tradition, that has held strong particularly in the south  but their popularity has soared throughout the world and has become more mainstream,  and I think its safe to say that monograms are really big and not going anywhere. What more elegant way is there to have your own personal stamp put on anything than an elegant monogram that is exclusively yours? Do you love them like I do? Today a look at various ways to display a monogram and to celebrate this post I am offering a monogram giveaway!! All details on the bottom. So here we go......feast your eyes on these monograms!

  2. I am partial to tone on tone monograms..As a french tradition, my linens bed and bath have been monogrammed with lavish hand stitched embroideries which sometimes took up to a year per piece. Most french would keep these treasures in a closet, I sleep in mine every night and love the feel of the crisp pure linen and the delicacies of the embroideries.

  8. Tina,
I love this post on monograms. I have been reading your blog for several months and I think it is beautiful and inspiring. I live in Charlotte, North Carolina and monograms are very popular down here. I have four little boys (or as my friends say four "dirty little dogs") so it is a constant struggle to keep everything in it's place amongst the swords, legos and light sabers but I do my best. I look forward to reading your blog and enjoying the pictures every morning while I have a cup of coffee before the kids wake up. Thank you. Have an enchanted day!

  47. I thought I didn't have anything monogrammed, but then I remembered a little tea set for two that I found in a junk/antique shop. It is monogrammed with what is probably a 'T' but it looks like a 'J' and that was good enough for me! It was cream with a green stripe and the J was red - those are my colours. There was no milk jug - but I don't have milk in tea. I had to have it :)

Count me in for the napkins, I'd love a chance to win them - unless you don't do international - I'm a UK girl.

  128. Is there anything else to make you home even more beautiful??
I have been so impressed with your products I have just bought a sewing machine to attempt to monogram my existing linen particularly table and bed linen but then again bathroom wear may get a look in as well after I get the knack of this new machine.-things aren't going too well so far!!! Need a week off work to get time to do it though Mongrams just give such class to anything don't they? My work will never hold a candle to your products Thank you so much for giving so much of yourself and offering style and class so easily. PS LOVE the clogs

  160. When our daughter got engaged, I hired a monogram designer to work with the couple to design their very own monogram. It was their engagement gift. The first time they used it was on the menus at their wedding. They love it and use it on all kinds of things. The nice thing is that it is classic and timeless and will be with them forever. They have their own monogrammed cocktail napkins, so if I win, I'm keeping these for us.

  161. Mary Trachman, (Happymaryee@yahoo.com) Wow! Did you make my day. How I love monograms. Like you, I think the Chair is unique & my favorite. The beautiful Monogrammed Napkins, how georgeous would look on my china that has a beautiful stemmed blue rose on the left border. To have a T monogrammed napkin would be delightful. The glasses are great and the bedding is indescribable. I think the pillow on the deck chair just makes the setting perfect. Thank you soo much for all your beautiful ideas and sharing them with us, it is very much appreciated. All the people that contribute are great. The best wishes in life for you. Mary T
