Which would you choose?

Good morning to you! So how was your weekend? Ours was busy, but great. Went to an elegant party, if it wouldn't have drawn so many stares (and questions) I wish I would have had my camera:) Isn't it funny (and only bloggers can relate to this) but now everything I do I relate to wanting to share on my blog, if I see something totally fab or go somewhere so beautiful....the first thing I think about is sharing it so you all can see it too! Anywho.....

I don't know about you but typically this time of year I find myself craving a vacation. Coming off the heels of the stresses of moving, a vacation sounds so good right now! Plus the weather has been wacko, with it feeling like summer knocking on the door one day and then plunging into the 50's like it did the last two days...go figure!  Add that to yet another reason why I need a vacation. We might be planning a short getaway with friends in May...fingers crossed!
So time to play along here....ready? Imagine this, you have just been granted by the vacation God, a trip to...anywhere you heart pleases. You can go for one week, all expenses, meals, and accommodations paid. Heck..shes (yes that's right its a SHE)  even including unlimited spa treatments! So, where would you go? Are you craving a total Calgon take me away kind of trip, or an active Safari kind of trip, maybe a bustling city speckled with lots is shopping kind of trip? Well..time to take a look at the offers and tell me which you would choose! I know I have my eye on one or two already.......bon voyage!

CHOICE 1 A ranch vacation...luxury style

Rock Creek

CHOICE 2 an exotic island in the Mediterranean

CHOICE 3 A ski getaway...
Park Hyatt, Beaver Creek

CHOICE 4 A Safari perhaps?
Marataba Safari, South Africa

CHOICE 5 An exotic locale?
Taj Tashi Thimphu, Bhutan

CHOICE 6 Tropical and melt your troubles away Grenada
Spice Island, St. George's Grenada

CHOICE 7 Scenic and surreal Greece
St. Nicolas Bay, Crete Greece

CHOICE 8 Cool and sophisticated Miami
Mandarin Oriental, Miami Florida

CHOICE 9 Serene and chic in Utah
St. Regis Deer Valley, Utah

CHOICE 10 The French Riviera!
Cote D'Azur, France

CHOICE 11 A bit more exotic?
Dubai

CHOICE 12 Hawaiian Hiatus?
Four Seasons, Maui

CHOICE 13 A Tuscan getaway!

CHOICE 14 Escape to Provence?

CHOICE 15 Nirvana in Napa!

Seriously...my heart says any of them but somehow Provence, Tuscany or Napa is where I could really see being most deliriously happy. Well wait a minute, I do love Maui! And bankrupt or not I have always wanted to go to Greece....OK just choose for me!  Not a bad choice amongst them and a vacation of virtually any kind sounds splendid right now. OK, your turn...which would you choose!!

And by the way do you want to know who the three most popular choices were for the "Which would you choose" last week? The one where I asked which designer you would choose to hand over your home to? They were no surprise, David Easton, Charles Faudree and John Jacob. Surprised? No, nor am I. Not a bad one in that bunch though and I am pleased to say every single one of them got a respectable number of votes and with good reason! Wishing you a wonderful day.

  2. Hello Tina,
    Greece AND Tuscany :-)
The furthest I ever get is the BVI on a chartered trip with 3 other couples (that is great because we get to go to all the places cruise ships can't go to--no crowds). It is lovely to do however I want to really experience some other cultures soon!

  3. We are dying to go to Rock Creek! My husbands brother went last year and said it was the trip of a lifetime, so we are hoping to go next year. That would be my choice followed closely by Maui! Fun post.

  8. Good morning, Tina!

Thank you for your sweet comment the other day. We're finally feeling 100%! :-)

I can relate! I also want to share everything on my blog, say where I'm going, where I went and how much fun I had. Our blogs become where we share our stories...

Tuscany is my dream... you know! :-) I'd never say "no" to any of these places, but Tuscany has my heart.

    Have a very Blessed Week!

  9. So many wonderful options but lately the idea of a Safari has me very intrigued!

  10. I would vote for Bhutan just because it is not easy to get to, with a carefully preserved culture and environment, that will certainly guarantee a really extraordinary vacation. I believe you even have to pay a minimum of $200/day to stay in Bhutan (inclusive of food). How many people do you know have been to Bhutan?

  11. It's Africa for me. I wanted to spend a few days in Capetown, then go on safari for several days for my 50th bday this year - but no one wants to (or more precisely, can afford to!)join me :(

  12. Honestly, I don't care how chic Utah is, you couldn't PAY me to go anywhere with SNOW this time of year! Or maybe any time of year... I love it at Christmastime here in New England but that's about it! Maybe choice #1 or #2... yeah, Provence and Tuscany always look like they'd be fabulous... but after last week's gorgeous peek at what's to come here in New England? Spring is my favorite season of the year, I love to watch everything unfold - and it's truly a gift that we have blossoms a whole month early right now, so I'm content to stay here this spring :-)

  13. OK Tina, you have about 'hit' them all! If I only had a week, I would want to get somewhere fast. . . . France would be on top of my list and probably the South of France somewhere. But, since two long days of travel would take up a good part of that week. . . not so good. So, I would without a doubt choose Napa. Been there many times, done that, but too many times is never enough. Spas, wine, scenery, shopping, spas and more wine!!!! Talk about relaxation! Dinner at the Merryvale Estate in the tasting room and reservations at Auberge D'Soile for the week! What could be more enticing and relaxing!

Don't even know you and think about you often as you are settling in! Your home is so beautiful!

  14. They all look fab! but I'd really like to be heading to Provence for some sun, lavender and good food and wine al fresco! that would be heaven!

  15. For me its a toss up between Provence (during the lavender season and Napa Valley) both places that are calming, beautiful and feed the soul. Wish I could board a plane this very minute!

    ReplyDelete
  16. I don't know why I wrestle with these choices, as if I am really going to have to pick and live by my decision!! ha! Well I guess it would be Provence, followed by the French Riviera~and then gorgeous Greece!!

  17. So tough to choose - I would love to add a week in Provence to our week in Paris, but Mr. H. has to go back to work. We love skipping down to Napa in the spring or dashing up to Whistler for a ski weekend. We're planning a big adventure for the second half of the year and Bhutan is high on the list. Have to say that photo makes me want to go!
Hope there are a few deep breaths waiting for you in the busy week ahead!! XO

  21. I am going to be a litlte greedy and go with 3 days in Napa and 4 days in Maui....that to me would be a perfect week. Have a good Monday, Tina. Thanks for the mini dream.

  24. I have to agree with you Tina...Provence, Tuscany or Napa would be wonderful...but if I had to pick just one...Provence, at least at this moment.

  25. I think Dubai because there has been lots of sensational buildings and luxury surroundings that I've seen recently so time to explore.

  26. mmm...Your weather sounds strangely like our Canadian prairies? I love your blog, makes me feel good. A trip to Tuscany for me if you please.

  27. Hi Tina- I would have such a hard time deciding between Provence Tuscany and Greece but will go with Tuscany. Have never been and its high on my list of places to visit. Maybe next year for my big "4-0". My husband has promised me a trip anywhere. Tuscany is one of the choices.
I wanted to say thank you also, I got my order from you on Friday, I was so excited. I LOVE my blue and white planter, mongrammed cocktail napkins and gorgeous silver tray which I promptly put on my vanity and put all my pretty perfume bottles on it. I love it all...thanks for offering so many pretty things.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I would honestly go to any of them except the ski trip - I hate the cold - but a safari in Africa tops my list!

    ReplyDelete
  33. #1 The Ranch looks inviting...hike the trails, get out into nature. The ski trip would also be great! Thanks!

  34. I'm really going to suspend my imagination and pretend one week is enough time to travel to the Far East. I choose #5 because I know the Spa treatments will be transformative, both physically and spiritually.

Tuscany, Tuscany, Tuscany! No surprise there.

Don't you dare be traveling on when I am coming to NY - in May! (:

Warm hugs and happy new week to you.

  38. Tina- you make choosing nearly impossible. I would seriously love to go to any. We are going to Jackson Hole next Sunday for a late spring ski trip with 3 families, while its always loads of fun I really have my heart set on a tropical locale so am going with Greece, Hawaii or Grenada. I will take any!

Hope you are doing well. This was a great post and gave me a few new locales to add to my must see list.

  39. Tuscany, Provence or St George....Thanks for taking me away!

  40. I was just thinking how much I want to go back to the Four Seasons in Maui. Heaven. Pure heaven. Greece sounds pretty fab as does anywhere in France or Italy. Can you tell I really need a vacation so badly????

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am craving a beach vacation so it would be Grenada or Hawaii! Probably Hawaii because we stayed at that exact Four Seasons on our honeymoon!

  42. O.K., I'm sorry but I can't choose just one! I'd gladly go to any of these destinations, but some of my first choices would be Dubai, Provence, Tuscany, Grenada. Then after barely catching my breath I'd go on to Miami and Hawaii. Whew! What exhilarating fun!!!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Having just returned from vacations here and there, I'm actually excited to be home. Albeit covered with dust as we plow through this renovation!

I was all set for a Safari, but I think true relaxation for me would be Napa. Having spent my newlywed up that way, I'd like to revisit with Grant, who is a complete wine lover.

    Happy Monday!!
    xoxo Elizabeth

We're headed to exactly this spot at the Four Seasons on Maui for a special Anniversary vacation in just a few months...Can't wait!! :O)

    ReplyDelete
  46. Oh Tina...please let me win a vacation to one of those places someday...:) The French Riviera or Maui would do me fine. Although flying anywhere makes me so anxious! And would you believe that because I used to be a Flight Attendant.....crazy!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Having not made it out of Indiana much, anywhere would be GREAT!

    ReplyDelete
  48. This is so not fair, making me drool over all of these on a Monday morning! I'll go with Tropical as my #1, with Scenic and Surreal #2, the Dubai option was amazingly appealing!

Sending you a smile for a wonderful week to come,

Okay, #10 the south of France, #13 Tuscany, Italy, love it! or #14 Provence. When does the plane leave. I can be ready in a hour!!

  50. Right now I would love a Ranch vacation, fishing, walks in the woods, sitting around the camp fire with strangers and hopefully one of them have a guiatar and we can sing and have a glass of wine!

    ReplyDelete
  51. My first choice would be the Napa Valley but since I already live here, I'll go with #4, the safari. I think my top choice for a vacation these days would be London.

    ReplyDelete
  52. I thought this would be easy but it was so hard. I have to be warm and near water, so it will be a close tie between Hawaii and the Caribbean. Oh how I wish I could! I still can't believe all the things you have achieved this past year with the house and your new shop, you truly. Are incredible!

    ReplyDelete
  53. It would have to be #12! And you've even pictured my very favorite resort, The Four Seasons Wailea in Maui! I wish I was there right now. But don't get me wrong....I would love to spend time in each and every one of these beautiful places!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I choose Greece! However, the French Rivera is beautiful as well. With this list, I don't think you can make a wrong decision!

    ReplyDelete
  55. I choose South Africa as it is tops on my bucket list!! Beautiful photos!

  56. Hi Tina! I hope you had a great day! I can totally relate to wanting to take pictures of EVERYTHING. My friends think I'm crazy when we are out to dinner and Im busy snapping iPhone photos of our food. :) Anyway, I need a vacation STAT!! I have always wanted to go to Greece and Napa, so I would have to go with those two places. Napa would be first since its the easiest to get to from here!

    ReplyDelete
  57. I would say either Provence or the the French Riviera!

  60. Oooh, what fun choices. It is always so much fun to take a few minutes to dream. Since I live in Colorado I have been fortunate enough to stay at the Park Hyatt. My favorite part was every afternoon around 4pm they wheel out this gorgeous gold rolling cart and you get to have self-serve s'mores over the fire pit. So yummy! I think my first choice would have to be the South African safari or Crete, Greece.

  61. Tina,
#14 Provence, please. I have wanted to visit Province for as long as I can remember. Meanwhile, I'm the arm chair traveler with sites like French Essence!

  63. Oh goodness, too hard to decide! A safari is on my bucket list, but so is Greece. And a house in Provence. And who wouldn't want to vacay at the Four Season Maui or on the French Riviera?!?
