Which would you choose?

Good morning to all holiday revelers! So......how was the big day? Were you like me and ate to your hearts content? Favorite day of the year (tied with Thanksgiving)...but more than anything it was such a relaxing, wonderful day spent with my family, eating, watching movies, board games, reminiscing, a long walk, eating, and more eating! It was a perfectly relaxing day as Christmas should be. So hope you had the same! Hard to believe Christmas 2011 is over.

Its baaaack! Oh yea, you can't keep a good thing down. I didn't forget about these, just got a little sidetracked with Christmas and all! So here's the deal......you and a bunch of your closest friends and family have planned a dinner to celebrate nothing but friendship, being alive and well and have decided to host a beautiful al fresco dinner with each of you as the honorees! You get to choose the food/menu, the wine, and just imagine your favorite setting on a picture perfect evening weatherwise, the candles have been set, the music is softly playing....you get the idea!  So today you need to chose which outdoor setting you could see sitting at for hours and hours drinking, eating, gabbing, laughing and cherishing special moments to your hearts content!

  2. Hey Tina, glad you had such a great Christmas. Ours was fun, loads of cooking and dishes but overall fantastic!
I love all of these and feel a little torn between a few but push come to shove, I am going with 13, its relaxed but looks so incredibly comfy. I could really see my girlfriends and I just hanging out there though they are all incredible.

  3. #1 for me, so elegant and lush. Perfect, happy you had such a relaxing Christmas you deserved it!

  4. Hi Tina, It's choice No. 4 for me. Love the expanse of blue skies and green hills and after dinner one could throw a blanket on the ground and have a long nap.

  5. Tina-
I choose #8. Just love the view.
Happy to hear that you got to take a break and relax. Much needed.

  15. I popped on over to your blog as I noticed it on Stacy's Conspicuous Style Design. I cannot tell you how phenomenal your home is. I just subscribed and i so look forward to your posts. I know that building a home can both be frustrating and truly rewarding.

As far as choosing my favorite outdoor area from your post..actually, I pick yours!! Hands down yours is the best. Just beyond the word fabulous. Your home should definitely be in the pages of Veranda or Architectural Digest!

    Happy New Year

  20. I'm glad you had a wonderful Christmas… I don't think I can choose a favorite outdoor space out of these pics, they are all gorgeous each one evokes a wonderful calm feeling! For me, anywhere by the ocean would be on top choice!

  21. No. 1, please. It looks intimate and lush. Of course, I took my drink into the gardens for a peek around. It was beautiful!

  24. I'll take 8 please. A stunning setting -- love looking at water -- an infinity pool if someone wants to take a break and swim, and seating that looks comfortable enough to stay for hours. Where do I sign up?
    All the best...Victoria

  25. Merry Christmas! Hope you had a wonderful holiday! Especially as I try to relax after Christmas, this is a terrific exercise. I'll take 8 please. It has all of the elements that I need to relax-- a beautiful view, some cover from the sun, a feeling of intimacy and an elegant table. Perfect!!

    ReplyDelete
  26. 1, 12 or 16....1 being my first choice.

    ReplyDelete
  27. #2!!!!! To die for! They are all just dreamy though!
    Stacy

    ReplyDelete
  28. Glad you had a wonderful Christmas! Choice 5 for me, steps away from the sand and sea on a warm day-can't beat that!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Tina, you make this very difficult...but I love it! I would pick number 8....

    ReplyDelete
  30. #2, #4, #8 and... #16. Beautiful!

    ReplyDelete
  31. As usual, they are all gorgeous. I love 8 because you can see the sea, but I pick 10, and I'm convinced the sea is just off to the left !!!

    ReplyDelete
  32. #8. It pleases the eyes and soul. A truly unique location and setting.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Hands down #8. Now if you had a horse head peeking out of a 1,3,4,5,6,7,11,12,or 14.. then they would have won!

    ReplyDelete
  34. You always make these so hard! But for me its a tie between 12 and 13, 13 looks so comfortable and inviting and when I have eaten too much I could grab a pillow and lie down!

    ReplyDelete
  35. 4, 7, and 11 do not have the most comfortable seating, so guess I could move them down on a list of preferences...
Really, I would be happy in any/all of those settings.
    Nice pictures!!!
    :) Valerie

Tina, it was a wonderful Christmas!! This is a lovely diversion to think of - the night time setting of #2 is my choice, followed for day #10, then #1 - have a great week!!

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh my ---this is so hard as they are all lovely spots...but the ones that really spoke to me were 8, 6, 15 and 16. So glad you had a lovely Christmas...it sounds divine!

    ReplyDelete
  39. This was so tough. But it's number 11 for me -- the trees, the water, the screened porch. Aaahhhh. Bliss. And a lunch of fresh-from-the-lake fish, simply grilled. Add wine and loved ones, and to me, this is perfection.

    ReplyDelete
  40. 5,8 or 12 got to have the ocean!!!

    ReplyDelete
  41. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
wow - I can't choose just one... I had a hard time marrowing it down to two... No. 2 AND No. 6. Should I be ashamed that I chose the spot based on enviromental elements? i.e. Sun in my eye while conversing, the distance between seated guests for conversations, the assumption that the location could bring bugs, wind from the water, etc... geezzzz, how could I be so picky with all those beautiful spots? I would gladly sit at any table to be with great friends.
Thanks for stimulating this 'overstuffed' brain -

  42. Holy moly first I exclaimed no 5 then 7,8 and 12...amazing pictures..I need the sea..give the feeling of freedom..

So glad you had a lovely Christmas..

Anyway, happy to imagine I am somewhere nice enjoying a long lazy lunch, so my pick is anywhere warm with a view of the water. So I choose numer six or eight.

    ReplyDelete
  53. They are all soooo tempting, however ocean views get me everytime. Even with this narrowing my decision I finally decided on choice 8 - spectacular ocean views with a pool....mmmm

    ReplyDelete
  54. All great! I love #1, but #11 feels like low-country living - can imagine sipping sweet tea on that screened porch and enjoying life! I am ready!

    ReplyDelete
  55. the seaside settings are tempting but i have been to no. 1, the garden of michael j trapp and it is divine with a lovely view of the river

I love all of the photos and cannot decide between 3, 11, and 14.

Have a great time with your family! Elizabeth

Tina, wishing you a happy and wonderful new year, no doubt many great things are headed your way. We are leaving to go skiing in Canada in the morning for 6 days so will not be around, will check in for your latest house updates when I get back next week or to see if you have moved! How exciting.

I hope you are well and I am finally back! You won't believe it but my birthday is the 14th December as well and I just turned 47! I will be doing a post soon on all our Christmas celebrations!
