Love the mix of materials here, the warm woods, metal doors, stone fireplace
Truly a room with a view!
Really like the structure
Imagine the sunsets from this spot with a glass of wine in hand
This is a cozy outdoor space with its own fireplace
The views are incredible...
How dramatic are these soaring walls of glass!
MEXICO. Michael Schaible designed this fabulous minimalist modern home in Ajijic, Mexico. The door was painted a beautiful vivid blue which was drawn from inspiration in one of the owners Matisse paintings. Built on beautiful Lake Chapala, the setting is nothing less than fabulous. Funny that from the street, there is little clue to the beauty and drama that lies beyond that blue door! Love the dramatic soaring spaces and huge walls of glass. This is an entertainers dream!! Take a look.....
This is GORGEOUS!
Love the white against the black....
Gorgeous drama in the dining room
How inviting is this spot?
Love all the metal doors.....
Love this space.....great for a cocktail party!
SOUTHAMPTON, NEW YORK. Finally we head towards Georgica Pond to the famous Hamptons, where this fabulous perched high on a hill Southampton beauty commands killer views of both the lake and distant ocean. I love the decor here, quintessentially "elegant sophisticated beachy." Mariette Himes Gomez designed the fabulous interiors. I would happily get away to this home every weekend every season!
Great soaring space that manages to still feel cozy....love the ceiling!
Love this monochromatic and elegant dining room....perfect for informal entertaining
Views are breathtaking from every room!
I would spend a lot of time on this deck!
So pretty how its nestled in the dunes
Dearest Tina,
ReplyDeleteMy favorite has to be in South Hampton. Having a cooler breeze by the water is my idea of LOVE and wonderment!!!! Too much humidity of heat ruins it for me, but when I lived in Boston, I lived RIGHT ON THE WATER and it was heaven. Cooler waters, that is FOR ME!
HAVE A SPLENDID SUNDAY! Anita
Goodness, I loved all three of these- I was already to pick the Montana home for it's rustic charm (love that wall of wood) but then the modern Mexican one is stunning too- adore that chandelier in the dining room. The NY home is also so lovely- a great 3 these week- would happily live in all of them!!!
ReplyDeleteAlways hard to make a choice but for me it would be the Montana home, somthing so relaxed about it. If I am going to get away it has to be a place where calm would totally overtake me and I could see that house doing the trick although each of these three incredible homes is really spectacular. Have a wonderful Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI could move into the N.Y home. I am drawn to the high ceilings and white walls.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog. I go to it every morning as I drink my coffee.
have to say I agree with Christine here, that wall of wood is spectacular in the montana hoem, but the coastline of the Southhampton property is perfect, dunes and beach, quintessential summer :)
ReplyDeleteI sure do have a favourite - OMG that Southampton house is to die for!! Love every detail. That's my kind of dream home. Sheer heaven.
ReplyDeleteOoooh, I love them all!
ReplyDeleteBut my favorite is that last one, the Southampon house reminds me so much of a house we used to rent in Maine every summer throughout when I was a kid. A real beauty!
South Hampton is my favorite, but I love the glass on the first home!
ReplyDeleteHope that you are having a great weekend, Tina.

I agree with you about that first pool with the lanterns! It is GORGEOUS!! Thanks for the virtual vacation!

Love each of them for a different reason...but I would love to spend a week in the SHampton home. The ocean draws me and I love the ceiling of the main living area. Great post! xo Diana
ReplyDeleteI need to go back to the top of the post to Pin about half the images. Especially loving the more rustic elements.
ReplyDeleteHaving once had a vacation home in Montana your pics make me miss it all the more. Though, I would be able to relax and enjoy in any and all of the above lovely homes. Love your blog.
ReplyDeleteYou know I love a house on the water! My favorite is by far the New York home!
ReplyDeleteAny home that offers up a view of water gets my vote but that home in Mexico is breathtaking! Have a wonderful Sunday Tina!
ReplyDeleteLove the South Hampton digs, the house is incredible! Also it is reminiscent of the landscape of marthas vineyard and that place is dear to me.
ReplyDeleteThat house in Mexico is spectacular! I absolutely love the dining room - totally unique, interesting and beautiful! Wow.

The one in the Hamptons is hands-down my favorite this week! We started watching "Selling New York" on HGTV last year, and I fell in love with the homes that they would show in the Hamptons. Since then, I've always wanted to visit. The setting of this particular one is gorgeous, serene, and so inviting! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't mind spending some time in one of these places!
ReplyDeleteLoves,
Rowan

I'm going with the first one today. Gorgeous views and so warm. Have a lovely week. Mona
ReplyDeleteLove the Hamptons home. If I can picture myself there then that's the one for me and I can definitely see myself in that beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteTina, it would have to be in the Hamptons, I hope to visit there someday!!! Too have a home like the one pictured above is even beyond my dreams. I would love to have a small cottage on any beach!! My dream would be in Carmel Calif.!!! Oh if only dreams could come true, but I will settle for my wonderful visits to my favorite place!! Kathysue
ReplyDeleteI chose to vacation/live in the Southampton home. It's not just the incredible comfortable style of the home but the amazing views and lounging on the sand.
ReplyDeleteHands down, no contest for me! ~*Ajijic, Mexico*~.Is everything I love EXCEPT one, no two things that have to GO & IMO are not needed.
ReplyDeleteThose pineapple(I have a serious unwarranted aversion to pineapples as decoration, have no idea as to why. Strangely pears too) things in dining room. They are the only 2 things i would put in the garage of my neighbor's home OR a great re gift ha!
They are all so beautiful, but can I just say I like your home the most? But among the ones you posted today I really like the Mexican modern house!
ReplyDeleteHugs & kisses from Rio!

Love that Montana home! It gorgeous and I would love to see that house in Southhampton in person! Breathtaking home! I love the dining chairs!
ReplyDeleteA week in the Hamptons...that's for us. However, something special about each place. Have a lovely day!
ReplyDeleteI think I have to say Southhampton, but the one in Mexico is a very close second! hope you had a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteStacy
Southhampton all the way!! Gorgeous! :-) Thanks for bringing so much sunshine and beauty into my weekend
ReplyDeleteWow, if ever there was an evening I needed to gaze upon some lovelies like the ones you have shared, tonight is that evening. To steal and alter a common phrase. "You had me at Michael Schaible with the blue pool and white walls." You did, very much so!
ReplyDeleteSending you a smile,
tp
The Mexico home is closest...so I'll take that one, please. But, I really do love it the best.
ReplyDeletexx's
Without a doubt, it's the Southampton home for me!
ReplyDeleteOh the Southampton one for me! I dream to live near water, a lake would be wonderful. The Montana home is also gorgeous but the modern one is NOT me. I am in no way modern or minimalist:):) I need warm, comforting surroundings. Thanks for the tours! XO, Pinky
