Sunday Showhouse, you're invited!! And a guest post!

Hi everyone! First off I was asked to guest post today for Julia over at Black Tag Diaries blog to talk about cozy spaces. She has such a wonderful blog, always something interesting going on over there. Her interests run the gamut from photography to decor, to crafts and more. Please visit me over at Black Tag Diaries, click here to visit. Thanks Julia!

So happy its Sunday, aren't you? My "day off" to do as I please, we are headed to a BBQ later but until then I plan on just hanging around and taking it easy. We were supposed to go on a very good friends gorgeous boat Friday (she has wonderful taste) and I hope to photograph it one day but the weather was so stormy and we were unable to go. Then yesterday a friend showed me their brand new boat which is pretty over the top and truly amazing.....and this got me on a "boat kick" so today our showcases are all on gorgeous, dreamy, out of this world boats yachts! Hey, one can dream, right? If you are going to dream, might as well go all the way!

Welcome to "Illusion" where the elegance and beauty you see is no illusion, its very real! How classic, sleek and elegant is this baby? I could happily reside in this fabulous yacht as it rivals many luxurious homes! What do you think, Interiors are by Bannenberg Design

Give me a stack of  magazines, a few books I am dying to read and you won't hear a peep!
Is that a Roy Lichentstein I spy in the dining room?

Wow this marble bathroom is nicer than most homes!
Could dining be any dreamier than this spot right here?

Now we board Cyan decorated by Nina Seirafi, it is majestic, and gorgeous every bit a luxurious rival to these others! It is 160 luxurious feet and is owned/shared by three families who spend equal amounts of time combing the seas...thats a neat idea! Love all the rich dark woods......so climb aboard!
The navy on this beauty is so regal!

Talk about a room with a view!

I could see engaging in some fierce Scrabble games at this cozy spot with a view!

Last we sail away into the sunset on a majestic sailing boat, Phocea. This racing boat had its interiors done by Jorg Beiderbeck. They look like they belong to a formal Georgian estate! All the gorgeous blonde wood is so luxurious and makes it feel so "home like". A very grand and elegant vessel indeed.  All aboard.......

Now THIS is what I call dining al fresco!
The wood that abounds is so luxurious and elegant

I will have my coffee breaks right here!

I don't think getting sea sick on such incredible vessels is at all possible. How amazing are these? If you had to cruise the Caribbean for a week on one of these bad boys, do you have a clear cut favorite? Do tell! Enjoy your Sunday!

  9. I love boats and especially these! Never been on a yaght other than a huge cruise ship but it would be nice to tool around in one of these private beauties with close friends and family! Happy Sunday! I'm off to church and going to buy a lottery ticket!

  10. I love them all but I will never sail. I get seasick and very easily, even at dock. Haven't always been this way.

  11. Wonderful post! I love the water! I get motion sick really easily, but for some reason I never get sea sick. I'm convinced it's because I'm meant to be on the water. I love all three! I could lounge on those lounge chairs in the first one all day long. Soo fab!

  12. I love the idea of a boat but anything that rocks gets my stomach going so I avoid them. These are stunning “boats” though and looks like decked out in the very best! Enjoy your Sunday!

  14. Oh- I so miss our boat! These are amazing pictures of gorgeous luxury, aren't they? We lived aboard for 3 summers on Lake Michigan. (Nothing nearly as grand as what we see here & about 1/4 of these sizes) It was one of the best times of my life. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Our kids were grown and gone and we didn't have grandkids yet-a perfect time to enjoy a boat. I found it was the one time/place I truly rested and relaxed-read and dreamed..perfect. Thank you for jogging that memory. xo Diana

  15. These are quite amazing. Unfortunatley I always get the impression that they aren't used too often. What a shame.

  23. I dream of doing a "barefoot" cruise on a yacht like one of these! I'm just hoping we can get a boat to dock in our town -- seems such a shame to be right by the water and not have a boat of our own!!

Hope you've had a wonderful weekend, Tina!

  24. Thank you so much Tina for your comments on LIS -- I am so glad to FINALLY be able to access my google acct and the blog -- you've been on my mind to respond to your lovely comments to my last posts -- but for some reason I am still unable to access the blog to respond to comments - it just keeps looping me back to sign in and not posting my responses to anyones comments -- so frustrating ;( My hubby thought I was losing my mind these past weeks, as I was spending days trying to load pictures over and over and respond to comments with no success. Sometimes, this whole blogging thing is really trying. Thanks so much for your positive remarks, your blog is an inspiration and so beautiful that it makes my day each time I read it. And yes, it truly is a small world! Thanks again and have a great evening! -- Liz

  26. Incredible - can't believe they are boats and not houses. Unimaginable luxury. My pick is Illusion and sadly for me it will always be just that! Unless of course we win the lottery.

  27. Spent the day at the beach today (first time all summer even though I live a mile from it!) so I am just getting a chance to read my blogs...I was so happy to see this post. Truly unique and interesting. I would like the last one, I think, although they are all amazing.

  28. Ok, I am seriously ready to live on the water for a while. I could set out on a sailboat and never come back. I don't open my mouth, and for me, that is amazing!
    Thank you for sharing, Tina.
