Sunday Showhouse, and you're invited!!

Good morning. At last this increidble, to be believed heat wave is due to break, it has been unbearable! Hope things are calming down where you are too. Today we visit 3 lovely homes starting off in beautiful Atlanta, then venturing off to picturesque Napa Valley and last to posh Greenwich, CT. Three very different homes, each with their own distinct personality but each equally beautiful, as they range from casual Napa style to formal European influenced to old world stone regal. I see something in each that I love so it would be hard to pick a favorite, as there are many beautiful elements within each of these exquisite homes. You know I always love to know what you love and which would be your pick so take a look and let me know. Wishing you a happy and relaxing Sunday!

ATLANTA, GEORGIA This stunning French styled manor home is located in the heart of beautiful Buckhead. This graceful and large home is an entertainers dream! Beautiful European influenced interiors compliment the gorgeous materials used throughout. The property is beautifully landscaped, not overly done which is my personal style and the lap pool, family room and kitchen in particular are just incredible!! Step on inside.....

Love the kitchen with its brick wall, beautiful!

I just love this room, the woods are so warm, the scale of the room amazing

The limestone cladding in the foyer is really pretty and a beautiful old world touch

As pretty as a postcard

I love this angle, just fabulous!

NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA We scale down a bit heading over to picturesque Napa Valley but don't let the small simple facade here fool you. One step inside and you are in for a real treat! Love how the builders successfully made the indoors and outdoors become one with soaring walls of glass, lots of reclaimed materials and a beautiful open airy layout to take full advantage of the magnificent vistas of acres and acres of vineyards that beckon. This looks like a really happy home, one that would be filled with lots of wine tastings and dinner al fresco with family and friends! Love this......

It might looks small and unassuming from the outside

Love the wall of glass which you see a lot in the homes in Napa
This is so beautiful, I could see wine tastings and fabulous al fresco dinners here
What a view!
Love the big wide open spaces and the vistas are breathtaking
Of course there is a wine cellar.....and this one is quite amazing!
A wine cellar with a view...gotta love it!

GREENWICH, CT. Last we visit this fabulous 1928 stone manor home built for Florence Rockefeller Sloane in gorgeous Greenwich, CT. The grounds are just breathtaking and the interiors, while parts might appear dated have been beautifully maintainted and are in pristine condition. Its a grand home but understated and loaded with elegant charm. The lush and formal gardens are old and stately, only adding to the incredible charm of this fabulous estate. Take a peek.....
So regal and stately

This is screesaver worthy!
Elegant black and white is so timeless

Well three vastly different homes, in very different parts of our country. Which would be your choice if you had to pick up and relocate tomorrow? Does one style resonate with your own? Its always fun to know what you think! Enjoy your Sunday, may it be relaxing and the key word...cool!!

  1. What beautiful homes. I would love to live in anyone of them, but I think the french styled manor in Atlanta Georgeia would be the one for me.

I am in awe of its grandness and elegance ♥

  3. Tina you always make it so hard to choose! There really
is something in each that I love. I would like the interiors
of the 1st house wtih the location of Napa valley and the exterior of the 3rd one to make my own perfect house.
Hope thats not asking too much, but when you are dreaming..might as well go all the way. Beautiful!

  4. Napa Valley, hands down. We were stationed in Monterey before our current station, and I find myself longing to move back to California. Love the open views, glass doors, fans on the porch....I could sit and enjoy that for hours! The kitchen in the Atlanta home is also AMAZING. With two ovens and all that counter space I would never want to go to any other room in the house! Thanks once again for a gorgeous showcase.

  6. Hmmmm...Hard choice to make! A few years ago Iwould have snapped up #1 in a heartbeat. As my tastes for space have simplified I would probably go with #2. I love the way it marries the indoor/outdoor aspects of the property. I would have to change the furnishings though!;>) xo Diana

  7. My favorite is hands-down the Greenwich home! I love the stonework and the black and white tile in that grand foyer!

  8. I wouldn't say no to any of them, but I'd pick the Napa valley one for sure. Beautiful vistas, stunning interiors, gorgeous architecture and overall design. Love it.

  10. Oops! Too many typos! Let me start again! (Typing in a dark room this morning during thunderstorms!)

Love the views on the Napa Valley home, love the exterior and the grounds on the Greenwich home, and love the kitchen and wine cellar, library, and master bath on the first home!

Just drop me by the pool on any one of the three for a week and a nice glass on wine and I will be one happy girl!

  12. I love the flooring in the first home but the Napa house has amazing outdoor living that I couldn't pass up!
Thanks for your comments today about Munich - now if/when you get the chance you will have some insider tips. :) Glad your nephew enjoyed it so much!

  14. Each one divine but the Greenwich property swept me away...and I would dearly LOVE to see more of it's dining room....I think there is a lot of detail to that room that the photo cannot reveal. Thank you for a very nice post.

  15. The first house located in Atlanta's Buckhead neighborhood has to be in new "Buckhead", the much expanded real estate region encompassing everything else. I live in the real Buckhead, and I've never seen this property before today.

I think it it crass and vulgar. And so typical of all new areas surrounding the finger bowl old Buckhead, where everyone really aspires to live.

Your readers need to be aware that this McMansion is not typical of old Atlanta.

  16. All are beautiful, but I'm with NanaDiana. Definitely would go with the Napa home. While the others are stunning, as an empty-nester, I have changed my style to smaller, beautiful homes. However, I'd love an extended visit the others!

  17. Love that first home, not every single room but the kitchen, all outside areas, that great room are all incredible.
Bob with all due respect I hail from Atlanta and while there are Mcmansinos there as there are every where, i do not think this is one of them. Crass Vulgar? No, I think more like beauitful and elegant is more like it. But we can agree to disagree. 1st house gets my vote with a close 2nd being the Napa home. The third is beautiful but not caring for the inside as much. Thank you for putting such a superb post together!

  18. I have to say first they are all gorgeous but I would have to go for the Napa home and it is less than an hour away so it would be an easy move for me!!! Happy Sunday,Kathysue
PS Thank you for all of the hard work you go do to putting together such wonderful post full of eye candy, it is so appreciated by me and all of your readers!! xo

  19. NAPA VALLEY, CALIFORNIA. That was tough(not really, though beauty greatly appreciated). Having lived in large homes with my children, Im tired of walking & now dont have to. New MO, simple is best for us. However my simple is never simply, simple!

  20. they are all so amazing but like most... napa...there is just a wonderful feeling you get when you are there.... super peaceful.... xx pam

  21. Choosing a favorite is hard. I like something about each.
Love the pool area and kitchen in the first one, so beautiful. Napa is well, Napa, whats not to love. And that last house reminds me of a big version of the house I grew up in, so it appeals to me very much, but agree some of the inside feels a little dated. It would be a toss up between 1 and 2 for me personally, could I have both?

  22. Hard decision but if I could pick only one it would be the Napa house. I love how open and airy it looks and like you said I could see having dinners and wine tasting parties. They’re all beautiful but after the heat I’m looking for something lighter and cooler looking. Enjoy your Sunday!

  23. I would have to say the stone estate is my favorite, though I love the Napa house too--I am always captivated by large homes that manage to look small and cozy from the outside.

  24. I love the home in Atlanta! There are so many French touches in it. It is elegant and understated, and the grounds are just lovely. If I had to leave France, I would definitely say the Atlanta home would be my destination!

  25. I could move right into any one of these! I love the understated feel of the Napa home and the indoor/outdoor rooms. I don't find the first one to be crass or vulgar at all. When you see a house like that on a tiny piece of property (like I so often find in my hometown in Dallas) then it becomes crass, but it fits the landscape nicely.

  26. Napa, please!!! The first home is way to large for my tastes, and the third is lovely, but too formal. So Napa is perfect for me (not to mention all that wine;)!
You did say this was one of your giveaways and we get to chose which home we want to win, yes?!!!! :)

    happy Sunday!

  27. Tina,
I have been following your blog for a few weeks and I just love it. I love that you post so frequently with all you have going on in your life - house, family, friends - and that can't be easy considering the time and research that must go into your posts. Your content is so refreshing and full of so many things I have never seen - not just photos that I have seen on a million blogs before. The best thing about your blog is that your kind spirit is reflected in your posts. Just lovely. Thank you for sharing your world and your thoughts.
    All the best,
    Sarah

  28. They are all so pretty but my favorite is the Atlanta home. It is just beautiful!!

  29. I'm in love with the Napa home it reflects my taste but the Greenwich home exterior is stunningly beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  30. LOve all three, but the Napa Valley homes wins for the beauty of the glass walls and sheer liveability. I can see me, my family and my things (with some serious updating) enjoying this home the most!

    ReplyDelete
  31. While the exterior of the Greenwich home is lovely, the interior is too formal for me, and the Atlanta house is far too large. I would go for the Napa home, because it is a more approachable scale and because it is in Napa where -- unlike Florida where I live -- you can leave those beautiful doors open and not be carried away by the mosquitos. And, of course, there is the wine.

  32. Oh I am so late but THIS WAS AWESOME! I thought I was enchanted with the French flavor of the Atlanta manor...the California home is stunning, but I am a Francophile...BUT WHEN I SAW THE CONN. HOME, OK, I suddenly turned TRADITIONAL!!! BUT the exterior of that home is stunning with its stone features. My goodness, architecture has always been a favorite study of mine but that is what I did not end up studying. But one can cruise, tour and dream...thank you Tina! Anita

  33. I'll take them all please! And rotate living in them according to the time of year. Wouldn't that be lovely? This is a very nice and contrasting selection and I would be hard pressed to pick one. Maybe living in close proximity to wine in Napa would sway me...

  34. I LOVE Sunday Showcase! I think I'd have to pick the Napa house just for the wine cellar :)

  38. WHile I love Greenwich style having lived in this County for a long time, I am ready to pull up roots and move to Atlanta for the French house! I wouldnt even care about their hot summers - who would need to leave the house?

    ReplyDelete
  39. Once again I go for Greenwich, I just loved that house... the look and feel were wonderful. Surprisingly, the Buckhead home was more appealing than I thought it would be! All of them lovely Tina, you find the most droolworthy estates to gaze upon. :)

I am glad your heat is diminishing, it has been beastly.

    Sending you a smile

  40. OK! Now you've just gone and outdone yourself yet again! I'd move to the Buckhead home in a heartbeat. Plus, Atlanta is such an exciting city with lots to do. I do like, however, the exterior and grounds of the Greenwich home. Beautiful post.

  41. I love the wine cellars! Beautiful! I couldn't imagine having all that space to collect beautiful bottles! Great tour!
