Greetings on this lovely Sunday! You know what day it is...time to tour three incredible homes!

But before we start I want to say how much I appreciate the support that has been shown and continues to me and my blog, through comments, my growing list of followers and subscribers and your many emails! You have no idea how much they mean to me and how each and every one puts a smile on my face. I feel like I have grown so much since I started blogging in January, I have expanded my design repertoire more than I thought possible, have been inspired more than words can convey and have met so many amazingly nice, talented and genuine people that have touched me. So as a "thank you" I am thrilled to  announce an awesome giveaway......

Now onto our showhouse.......We start off in California, take a detour in Alabama and end our fun little tour, on tranquil unspoiled island of gorgeous St. John. I don't know about you but I appreciate Sundays more than I ever have before...with busy chock full weekdays, I anticipate the relaxation that Sunday brings. How about you? Hope you are enjoying a great weekend. Lets get started! Would love to know as always if you have  a favorite.

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIFORNIA This fabulous residence was decorated by Paul Wiseman. I feel  like it could be on Lake Cuomo not San Francisco Bay, which is no slouch believe me but the ring of  Italy does sound a little more exotic! I LOVE the interiors of this home with their heavy European influence. The colors are so warm, elegant and soothing. You could be hard pressed to say this is a brand new home, love how everything looks aged and antiqued. I think its exquisite, would love to know what you think. Please come on in........

LOVE this kitchen open to a family room....what a great spot to gather family and friends...
Beautiful melody of colors
Don't you just love cozy little nooks like this one?

Love the antiqued mirror above a dressing area as was done here

Arent' the colors gorgeous? Love that chest and chairs....
LOVE antiqued mirror panels like this....
Love this with the pergola!
I could host some cocktail party out here!

ON THE LAKE, ALABAMA. I love this home, a quintessential lake house in Alabama that gets a serious dose of sophisticated rustic decor by Susan Ferrier. A stunning four story structure, to take full advantage of the amazing lake views was designed by well known Bobby McAlpine. The colors used are earthy, soothing and calming. The flow is fabulous from room to room and I just love the soaring ceilings and big wide windows. The color range is neutral and range from the cool grays to warm putty... a combination I have always loved. I like how the quiet interiors allow the beauty outside to remain the focal point of this fabulous setting. Step inside and see for yourself!

Love the benches in the kitchen, its such an inviting space

Love the earthy colors and the soaring ceilings

Talk about dining with a view! Love this spot...

ST. JOHN, CARIBBEAN Wow this is a home I wouldn't mind escaping to every weekend. Ugh,..dreamy, perfect and heavenly are three words that come to mind. Beautiful open, elegant spaces make up this fabulous home on the beautiful unspoiled island of St. John. The architecture was done by Mike de Haas and interiors are by Twila Wilson. I love how the windows were left alone to absorb and take in the spectacular vistas from every angle. With a view like that who wants window treatments! The outside spaces speak for themselves and I would be only too happy to plant myself there with nothing but a weeks worth of wonderful reading material! Love it.....

Perfection!

I would never ever want to leave this spot! (made it my new screensaver)

Not too bad, huh? Do you have a favorite? If you had to pack things up and move tomorrow, which would speak to you more? I don't know- the views and setting of St. John combined with the old world European elegance of San Francisco complimented by the gorgeous earthy rustic vibe of the Alabama home would just about do it for me! Don't forget to visit Safavieh and then go to their Facebook page here to enter the contest!  Hope you have a wonderful Sunday and hope that you are enjoying a great weekend!

  2. Hello:
Do all of your posts present us with these impossible choices? Each of the houses is, of course, wonderful and the situation of each is stunning, particularly the last. Without a doubt, given the opportunity to do a trolley dash in any of them, we should not be short of filling it. There are some very covetable pieces!

But, perhaps for us, and it will be interesting to see what your other readers feel, each of the three interiors is a little too perfect, the furniture a little too carefully placed, the decorative items a little too co-ordinated. In total they all represent perceived 'good' taste which is in danger of obliterating real character. Again, a personal observation and one which is not intended as a criticism.

It is often thought in the UK that to have bought one's furniture, as opposed to inheriting it, is slightly déclassé. Here it all looks rather new!!

Your giveaway is marvellous and would, as you say, look at home anywhere.

  3. Great giveaway, love that bench and would love
it for my family room where it would fit right in....
such gorgeous homes! I like how you described
a little of each, as they each offer something off
the charts special. The first and third homes are
especially beautiful to me, and that view on the
    last house is mesmerizing!
Beautiful homes as always- going to facebook now!

  4. Thank you for introducing me to Safaviehome.com. Their catalog is fabulous. As for the 3 homes above. I have no trouble in selecting the St. John Caribbean home. The lightness of the home, the plumpness of the furniture, the unbelievable pool and stunning views. This is a winner for me.

  5. Everyone of these is exceptionally beautiful! Each holds a special place in my heart...I lived in San Francisco before moving to Alabama and I'm dying to go back and experience it again so of course that house is wonderful to me! The lake house in Alabama has always been one of my favorites because of it's beauty...because Bobby McAlpine is my dream architect and also because it's right where I live! However...we frequently vacation in St. John and it's the place my heart LONGS to be all of the time! So I guess I just answered without realizing it! It's definitely St. John!! It's stunning...the views are breathtaking I certainly wish they would rent this one out! Hope to be heading there in not so distant future!! Thanks for sharing all 3 of these gorgeous homes with us! I will check out the other website as well! Have a great Sunday!

  6. This is a great giveaway, Tina! Beautiful.
Ok...I can't really choose a winner here. You have chosen three stunning homes, but since Bobby McAlpine is from my home town, I am choosing his work. No secret that I am in love with his designs.
    Have a great day.

And I just need to throw this in...I hope you do not take to heart what the Hattatt's said above. I don't know if you get comments from them often or if this was the first time.
    Have a beautiful Sunday.

  9. Wow Tina, what a difficult choice you leave us with. There is as always with me, something in each home that I love and could fit right into my own home. And not to mention the beautiful locations. All quite gorgeous and inspiring. The house in San Fransico would be so me!!! The colour palette is me down to a tee, all glowy and warm with splashes of a bit of red. Hope you to have had a great Sunday. Also, would like to say that your comments at the beginnig of this post rings so true for me as well. 12. Tina, what an amazingly generous & BEAUTIFUL giveaway. I also loved their Orly commode. But, as for the house, it's definitely the 1st Wiseman home with the Palladian windows everywhere. Elegant, but also livable. With a water view and in that lovely northern California weather. You completely outdo yourself every single week. No wonder your blog is growing by leaps & bounds !
    Sending love.....

  20. Beautiful post, I love all 3 but
the first house in California stole
    my heart! What a dream.
Love that bench, am going to
    go to their website now.
I wanted to say that I hope the
    above comment, from the Hattat
    couple,was a joke otherwise
it was really a disgusting comment.
Are they actually saying its declasse
to buy furniture? Are they kidding?
    Wow- am speechless.
Beautiful post and I for one love all
    the bought furniture decorating these
    amazing homes!

  21. Hi! It's hard to pick just one...But I choose the 4th on down! I love that the room is open, and bright and sunny! I also LOVE that the kitchen cabinets have the appearance of pieces of furniture!! I can just see myself curled up on the sofa with a cup of "sissy coffee",as my husband calls it,reading a book! I imagine there is a fireplace directly across from the sofa with a crackling fire going in it! Can you tel I am ready for some cold weather?! lol!
I love reading your blog, and seeing the pictures of the progress being made on your beautiful home! I hope you will take pictures of it after it is finished and totally furnished...I am sure I'm not the only one who would love to see them!
    Very Sincerely,

  25. Hi Tina: I only found your blog this week but I'm totally addicted. I even have my husband reading it. With it only being 5 degrees, windy and cold, # 3 St. John would so be my choice at the moment. All 3 are fabulous. Your new home is amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey with us and may it always be "your happy place".

  35. When I first saw that incredible Kilim Bench, I was admiring it... actually I was thinking about how it would look in my living room.. Then I was wondering if I was reading correctly. A Kilim Bench? Seriously... what an amazing gift! Not only do you have an enchanting blog, but also enchanting giveaways!
All 3 were beautiful homes on the showcase for sure, but the home in St Johns immediately beckoned to me. Can you imagine actually living there?? Or spending a month there??? Sitting at that dining room table for any meal, or even a bowl of fruit? Or sitting on the patio over looking that incredible endless pool and ocean view...? Absolutely breathtaking! Thank you so much Safavieh Home Furnishings and Enchanted Home!

  37. I LOVE the San Francisco home! It's strange, but I don't know exactly why. Ususally I can say about a home that I love the floorplan/layout, the color scheme, the furnishings, etc. But with this home it's not just one thing that I love, but everything. I could move into this home and not change one single thing. This home really speaks to me. It embraces me!
