Tina, I LOVE your patio! We are finishing up a much smaller remodel job and your blog has been such a fantastic source of inspiration for me! I would love a moss colored planter (or two) under my Christmas tree!

Thanks so much to everyone who has sent in pictures of their holiday decor! Oh my gosh....I am floored, I would wage a big big bet that my readers might be the most talented out there! I cannot get over the beauty! Having such fun looking at all your homes. Please keep them coming...I plan to post a special post on my readers homes for the holidays. Send me your tree, your stockings, your place setting, you dressed up as Ms. Claus, whatever strikes your fancy as long as it holiday related. I will post this on Tuesday, Dec. 18th. (deadline to send me pictures is Dec.16th). Thank you! Email me here.

It's time and long overdue for another round of  Which would you choose. OK, you have to  put on your thinking caps here and roll with me. The vacation fairies have paid you a surprise visit. They have granted you and yours a special vacation for two weeks anywhere in the world, all expenses paid...I am talking everything. So...this impatient little fairy needs to where she will taking you. Think hard, which vacation would you choose? For me, it was an instant tie between two.....humm, wonder which you will choose!

CHOICE 1 Head to the outback country, sunny beautiful Australia where your days will be filled with trips to the beach and sightseeing (and hopefully spotting a kangaroo hopping along the shoreline)!

CHOICE 2 To a posh upscale luxury ranch vacation in the midwest nestled deep in the high mountains where your days will be spent riding, hiking and "spa-ing" and playing cowgirl albeit 5 star style:)

CHOICE 3  Heading to Hawaii for a little aloha spirit, days at the beach, attending a luau, taking in the spectacular beauty  and just decompressing is all you will do here....

CHOICE 4 Paris......days will be spent shopping, eating to your hearts desire, antiquing  and absorbing all the French magnificence that abounds on every corner....

CHOICE 5 Fiji, headed far away to the land of unspoiled beauty. Days at the pool and beach, daily spa visits and dinners oceanside are what this trip is all about...

CHOICE 6 The big apple..head to NYC for a nonstop  funfulled  schedule of shopping, Broadway shows and sightseeing........bring your walking shoes!

CHOICE 7 Exotic Greece...where you will feast on fabulous foods, take part in local culture and sightsee to your hearts desire.......

So..........there you have it! 6 pretty amazing places, which one sounds really good right about now? Where are you headed?  Hope you are pacing yourself during this very chaotic time of year...fun and exciting and magical, oh yes it is. But it's also a very easy time to get stressed and run ourselves ragged (I know because I do it every year)! So a vacation sounds exceptionally good right about now even if it means settling for a virtual one! So where are you going I can't wait to hear......bon voyage!

  3. Paris... for sure, until I saw Greece. Now I'm a bit torn. I still think it's Paris.
Tina, My dough bowls arrived yesterday! I LOVE them. I'll be taking some pictures and sending them to you.

  4. Tina this is very hard for me. I am torn between the 5 star ranch and Greece! OK I am taking the ranch because I know I will really relax there, and after hosting 20 people for Christmas, I will really need it! All great choices, can't wait to see your tree!

  7. Happy Birthday week, Tina!!! How lucky is your friend? I bet they are going to surprise you as well. :) Congrats to the winners - lucky ducks. Oh, I thought Australia - no brainer. Then I scroll, see Hawaii and think, "Oh, yes, I love Hawaii." Done. Scroll a bit more and see Paris, heart races up. Confused and on the verge of getting stressed. Decide I couldn't pass up Paris. Then you flaunt Greece. I've never been. Ugh. So silly of me. I'm always so decisive when it comes to everything but with these I'm always to greedy to choose just one. So can I go on all of them please?!! xo

  8. This one is easy! Paris is a #1 .... however Greece was not far behind!

  9. Greece could soothe away my holiday related stress for sure, and i have never been so check that column for me.

  10. Happy Birthday my sweet generous bloggy friend! I hope the luncheon goes well and I hope your loved ones celebrate the wonderfulness of YOU!!!!

I was going to say Paris but my husband is there right now (for business) and he says is is FREEZING cold and wet and horrible. So, I am thinking Greece.

  11. Ok…impossible to choose here! Every time I thought I had my mind made up you showed another fabulous place! If I HAD to pick…this time of year…I would say Paris but Fiji is right there next to it! Great post, Tina!

  12. Ah I'm so tempted to say Paris, but Fiji is sounding really good right about now!!!

  13. After I saw the choice of #2, the posh resort in the mountains, I had my winner.. until I saw Greece.. oh wait no no.. back to #2... good luck on the luncheon...marlis

  14. Thanks for allowing us to dream a little Tina...Paris never disappoints, but I would choose Fiji. I've been to all destinations on the list except for Fiji and Australia. Happy Birthday!

  15. Hi Tina! Happy, happy Birthday. I hope your luncheon is great fun. I'm sure it will be beautiful! As for the vacation fairy, please let her know that I would pick Paris in a heartbeat. I've been trying to scheme about how I'm going to get back there in the coming year even though it's Mr. H's turn to pick our next vacation destination - he would probably chose Australia.
Best wishes for a beautiful b-day! XOXO

  16. Happy Birthday, Tina! It sounds like a very busy week for you! As for the vacation pick, it has to be Paris!

  17. I can't imagine anything more glorious than two weeks in Paris (unless it's living there!), especially at Christmas! Have a happy, happy birthday, Tina!

  18. Well Tina....you made things very easy for me this time.....my choice is....."ALL OF THEM"!!!! Because, if I have little travel fairies then I don't see why they couldn't arrange for me to spent a couple of weeks in every one of these fabulous places!! Hey...we all can dream big!

  19. Happy birthday Tina!!
I gotta go with Fiji!! Although all options sounds pretty tempting...

  21. Happy Birthday Tina! We share December as our Birthday month, mine was last week. Not telling age either, just that I'm older! I have to choose Paris and NYC at Christmas. Love, love them all. Been to most, not Greece and we still plan on going there. Can't wait to see your tree. Enjoy your party and hope you'll share the decorations. I still have to make photos of my place settings with the chargers from your fabulous shop. I'll send you a few snaps of my tree and favorite decoration too.

    Hugs,

  22. Sounds like a busy week for you Tina! 25 people? That would push this Type A over the edge Lol! I've got several things happening this week but none are at my home. If I can get through this week, I might think of hosting something small.. we'll see;) Okay on the age thing! I have ALREADY crossed over to the other side (over 50 that is;) so it's really not a big deal ~ and once you pass 50, the age thing becomes even less important as you focus on all that you have to be thankful, including making this far ;)

My son's birthday is the 17 (24!) .. now THAT makes me feel old! The holiday birthdays make for an extra busy month. I'm sure your family will have lots of fun planned for your day.

    Greece it is!

  23. HI Tina! Happy Birthday! What a magical time of year to be celebrating a birthday! I will look forward to hearing about your wonderful party and seeing your beautiful decorations. My dream vacation would be to Paris this time of year. Instead, I will be at home celebrating with my family and enjoying my recent purchase of the gorgeous large gold tole planters! Thanks for adding so much beauty to my home over the past year. I am grateful that I found your blog and online store! Happy Holidays to you and your family! Lisa L.

  24. I love it when the vacation fairy sprinkles some pixie dust on us! This is a tough one because we're at that time in the year where a quick getaway would be bliss personified. Very tough choices, but I'm going to avoid long flights and go to the city, choice #6.

    Sending you a smile,

  35. All of them are amazing, but I would have to choose the luxury ranch vacation (for my great hubby). He loves horses and anything western. He took me to Hawaii for our 40th wedding anniversary and made all my dreams come true. Heavenly! Soooo, it's his turn now.

But, Figi would be my second choice - cuz I loves the beach!!!

Thanks for sending us these amazing travel faries. I follow your blog all the time and really enjoy it.
    Happy Birthday and Merry Christmas!

  43. I would say Choice #2...breathing in fresh mountain air, horseback riding, and a warm, relaxing bath sound pretty amazing right now...especially since this time of year is so busy! -Stacey C.

  44. Always Paris, especially now with the magic of Christmas and the wonderful cold of Winter. I will however be having choice #1 which is pretty good too. In early January we are taking our family to the coast of NSW in Australia. We have a week in a small coastal town where my son will learn to scuba dive, and the rest of us, who know how to dive, will come along diving the crystal clear cool water. We then go down further south to stay in a light house cottage and snorkel the coves and rock pools. We have every chance of seeing a kangaroo on the beach and pods of dolphins in the sea. We hope to catch fresh fish for dinner everyday and enjoy the lovely summer fruits like mangoes and peaches.

  45. No contest: PARIS... The city that captured my heart many years ago and hasn't let go. The colder, rainier, Christmasy-er, the better. I can be packed in an hour.

  46. Paris or Hawaii for me, I've never been to either of them. Happy Birthday dear Tina, hope your party is wonderful!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Good morning Tina, No doubt about it I would choose Figi. I have been to New York, I'm not a cold weather person which eliminates a couple. Paris was tempting as was Greece but as I am a water person relaxing at the beaches of Figi is a no brainer for me. kathyn

  48. Paris. Paris is always great. Two weeks , for free!!! No hesitation

  49. Australia - I would head to Sydney on New Year's Eve to watch La boheme at the Sydney Opera House followed by dinner at Quay. I don't want to shop! Enough is enough! I want to walk on the beach, take naps, read books, drink fine wine and eat good food, and let THE GREAT WORLD SPIN!

  50. Happy Birthday to you my friend! So many options for a great vacation, but I do have some friends who just returned from Fiji and said it was incredible. I'd really be happy with any one of those destinations!

  51. Oh my - I thought this was going to be easy, but I want them all. Except Australia, done that a few times before! So perhaps Greece as I haven't been there.

  54. Since "ours" includes a bunch of teenage boys, we doubt highly that shopping in Paris would appeal to them (although we'd love it!) so its a touch choice between Australia, Fiji or Greece but since we're half Australian and have never been, #1 gets our vote! Thanks for taking us on a dreamy (virtual) trip, Tina, and Happy early Birthday!

  55. Hi Tina, we are actually headed to Paris next week, and cannot wait. I haven't been in about 5 years and always wanted to go during Christmas (our daughter is doing a semester abroad) so it was a great excuse to gather the family and have Christmas in Paris! A close second would be the ranch trip though, that sounds fantastic! Merry Christmas.

I'm lucky enough to have visited every one of your destinations, but choice #2 and it looks familiar from some research I've done on vacation spots, so I'll go choice 2 - mid-west... with a redo on Hawaii as a very close 2nd. So fun, each brought back different memories of who we were with and what we did. Thanks!

  63. All of these look amazing, but since I'm NYC and a warm weather break helps tide you over until Spring...I'd go for Fiji!!!!

  65. I'd definitely go with Australia but with all that I have planned I'm going to need at least a month! :) Sorry I haven't been a while - our 2.5 week trip to Munich and Venice became almost 4.
